Austrian director Michael Janeke will direct a Hollywood remake of his controversial 1997 movie Funny Games, starring Tim Roth and Naomi Watts. Funny Games was nominated for the Palme D’Or at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival in France, and while it was a success at the European box office it barely registered in the US. It is unknown whether Janeke will tone down the violent scenes of torture that characterized the original movie, and divided critics, in his remake.

I adore Naomi and love them as a couple. That being said, what is he waiting for? They’re not too young and he’s not THAT hot. She looks pretty here, even without any makeup, no botox in sight, very natural. It’s Haneke, of course and he’s so desperate to break into Hollywood, he’s remaking his own, relatively recent movie. A really bad idea, imo. Thanks for the photos :)
