That is why I love Angelina so much for her humanitarian efforts..and of course including Brad P. and BONO. DOES ANYONE KNOW what day Babel will appear at the Toronto International Film Festival, i live right outside Toronto and I want to go and see Brad-but I don’t know what day he’ll be there as the festival runs from September -16.

#286 Anyone know? Babel will have it premiere in Toronto on September 9th (Saturday0 at 9:30PM. The road in front of Roy Thomson Hall will be closed to traffic starting 4:00PM to make way for the gala. So be there early. I will be there but not sure what time though. I have earlier commitment that day. Hopefully I will get a good spot. Wish me luck!

My husband and I have adopted overseas as well as in the states. All I can say is that I’m glad Angelina is making overseas adoption acceptable in the media. Not that it wasn’t before, Mia Farrow and Josephine Baker has done this for years.I’m black/catholic and my husband is white/jewish. We adopted a black baby boy(it was such a short wait, it was as if they couldn’t wait to hand him to us) and a few years later we adopted a white toddler boy( the process was difficult and the process was crazy, but b/c my husband is white and the agency felt like the child will have someone to identify with) Both boys were adopted here in the States. Its crazy, its always going to be black and white. And just recently we adopted twin baby girls from Somalia(the process was much easier and shorter waiting period)Overseas adoption is quite a gamble and crazy at times.The orphanages are always trying to “sell” you more babies at once. All for money. Of course, not all orphanages are like this but the one we dealt was. Didn’t tell us that the baby we were interested had a twin and the minute we were told and saw her, we immediately knew we couldn’t have them live apart.With that being said, I appreciate what Angelina is doing in terms of being open to adoption but personally I have my gripes on the whole Brad/Jen thing. I know years later, I should let it go…
