Does anyone know when the October edition of Esquire is coming out? The September edition came out on Monday 14 August 2006; so I am presuming that the October edition comes out on a Monday. Will it be Monday 11th or Monday 18th? Can anyone help me out?Many thanks!

Of course People has a big circulation — and no one outsells the national Enquirer, but that doesn’t mean that it’s better than the Washington Post. Vanity Fair puts a celeb on the cover, but the articles are about high society, art, politics, literary figures, what’s going on in the world. It’s not a tabloid, and like someone said, no matter how much more substance People has than US or Star or In Touch, it is STILL a tabloid-type weekly, cheap magazine. Esquire, Vanity Fair, Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker and New York Times Magazine — these are classy mags. And among fashion mags, GQ, Elle, Vogue and W are the tops as far as glossy, expensively done production, and respected articles.Tom was smart to bypass the tabloids and go the classy route with Vanity Fair, but it was also because he’s not that popular anymore, but he is still newsworthy. Just like Forbes still calling him the #1 powerful guy in Hollywood, just before no studio will offer him a deal, these things are done months in advance. VF has a two-month lead time. Two months ago, his star hadn’t fallen this far, but he could see the writing on the wall and knew he was slipping and had to do something to shore up his image. People or the like would keep him a tabloid oddity — Vanity Fair, now that gives him back some credibility.

My daughter is the same age and just started her kindergarten yesterday.
