Gitane: Oh girl, don’t I know it. My baby sister came on the scene when I was 16, so I helped raise her, then she had a baby of her own, and now I’ve got my sister and my niece. I can so relate to you girl. I always had my baby sister in front of me at all times when we were out and about so I could see where she was. Did I? Goodness, I had to watch it twice, I have shown it to everyone around me,….this is freaky stufff. both my sisters had kids before they were barely out of their teens and i became the instant babysitter. it got so bad that the babies would only be good for me and cry when my sisters held them. i was the only one who could get them to sleep or get them to eat. they would only let me bathe them and i didn’t sleep alone from age 9 to 16. there was always a niece or nephew sprawled across my back! i resented it then–being so young and wanting to have my own fun. but now that the kids are older, it’s nice. they don’t call me auntie–they’ve got nickname for me that sounds like mom. i adore them all and i can’t wait to bring home a little cousin for them to babysit!

I think the pictures are adorable and it is always to cool to see families out and about making it work. I think all three of those children are precious.

first, they pissed me off. then they were annoying. now it’s just too sad. i’m sitting here with tears in my eyes because they’re out there roaming the world and obviously incapable of enjoying it. they’re handicapped–mentally. i used to work with adults with mental retardation, teaching them job and social skills. somehow dealing with blog trolls brings me back to those days. it’s very heartbreaking.

Gitane: You are truly blessed. You made the world a better place for those little ones. It would be a sad place without people like you. You deserve all good things. My niece is my heart. I adore her as much as she adores me. My world is so much better with her in it.
