Brangelina Love Banksy
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted out and about late last night in Los Angeles. The couple turned up for an art show featuring pieces by world renowned, London-based graffiti artist Banksy. The exhibition, titled “Barely Legal,” is billed as a “three day vandalized warehouse extravaganza” with its main feature, a live elephant which has been painted in a floral wallpaper pattern. Keanu Reeves and Jude Law was also present at the art show.

OMG for sure! Angie did the right thing, and she and Brad got to have down time together right before and right after Shiloh came. Those first days with your newborn are so precious, and they go by soooo fast. I be damn if I’d let anybody ruin it for me. They’ll probably retreat somewhere quiet for the next pregnancy as well, and even go into a semi-seclusion for each adoption.

Have you seen pics of Angelina’s Mom when she was younger? I was surprised to see that Angelina looks so much like her mother because I always thought she looked like JV. Like shiloh, Angelina is a good mix of both of her parents.

I’m not part of any clique here but I’ve been posting and lurking for as long as some of the regulars. It’s all about what you post. If you have nothing interesting to say than more than likely people will pass you by. sometimes my posts are ignored and sometimes they’re not. Big deal.

I mostly lurk and I am fan of Brad and Angelina as well as their fans that write here but I have noticed that some of the regulars are clique-ish. I don’t want to come off as a hater but I do notice that some people here go un-acknowledged by the regulars here. Maybe some of you do it unknowingly so but it still gives off the appearance of being dismissive of some people’s comments. Just saying. I enjoy the comments here but this is just what I have observed.

I haven’t been posting here for very long, and the first couple of times I posted nobody really noticed me too much either, but it’s not really because people are dismissive, it’s more because there are usually no less than 4-5 conversations going on at once…. and too, people are understandably a bit gun-shy of “strangers” in these parts. It’s just a protective mechanism, because there are so many new posters that come here to attack and belittle. If you truly want to be a part of it, you have to be persistnet, let people see they can trust you, and soon enough you’ll be part of the discussion. You can’t post once and be mad nobody answered you. It takes time. We welcome people who really want to discuss and debate.

Actually…what I’m trying to do is get my Yahoo account set up to use my Outlook instead of having to user their stinky webmail client. Unfortunately Yahoo has some problems with Outlook 2003 and their tech people haven’t gotten back to me on the resolution yet.
So…I’m reading…it’s just slow going!

OMG! I just heard about the baby abducted in MO! A woman broke into a home, stabbed the mom and stole a newborn! What kind of insanity is going on in our world?

OC - You know that the scary thing is? This is the second time it’s happened in MO in the last year. Last spring a woman in Northern MO, close to the Iowa border, had her baby CUT OUT OF HER WOMB! by some nutjob. It was actually a pretty big national headline story last year.
The woman lived in KS or NE and had been pretending to be pregnant. The husband was a real moron. He worked a lot and wasn’t home and when he was home the wife never let him see her naked or allowed him to touch her stomach. So she was wearing one of those pegnancy pads like actresses use. She had struck up an online friendship with a 20 year-old pregnant girl in MO who bred dogs with her husband out of their home. When the girl’s due date was nearing the woman made an appointment to come buy some puppies from her. So the girl gave her the address and when the woman showed up she beat the girl up, cut the baby out of her womb, then killed her and drove back home and told her husband she’d had the baby while he was at work!
In the meantime the husband of the pregnant woman came home early from his full-time job and found his wife dead and the baby missing. When the police came to investigate they found a computer print-out that the girl had printed so she’d know what the woman who was coming to look at the puppies looked like! Obviously the police where able to find the woman using her e-mail address! So they went and arrested her like the next day. Meanwhile the woman’s stupid husband really thought she’d gone to the hospital during the day, had the baby, and was back home in time to fix his dinner! Can you believe that ****? How dumb was this guy?
And now this new kidnapping happens and all I can think is that now everybody in the country thinks Missourians are like the people in “Deliverance”!

It depends on what you are doing when you post — if you’re starting your own topic, as dragon said, it’s sometimes difficult for people who are already engaged in a discussion to break for you and address your topic, but speaking from my own experience here and the way in which we treat people, particularly new people (hell, we’ve got our own welcome club headed up by ‘missouri fan’) - it’s my opinion that we’re alwas gracious and try to comment back to those that address us. If you’re just posting something you happen to find interesting and not trying to engage or talk to anyone about an existing topic, you may not be heard. I wouldn’t be offended…it’s happened to me before - no big whoop. Just jump back in with something else.
Lurker…I would say it is all in the timing. I think it very much matters how often you post, who is “on” at the same time you are, who agrees with you, what kind of issues are being dealt with when you are here, etc. Some people get LOTS of responses,(Agnieszka), but not in a good way! Just stay with it. I don’t get many shout outs, but I know I am known by mostly everyone, and certainly they would know a false post under my name, etc. Also, the fanfics and shared e-mails bond many. You have to take it as far as you want to, try to get involved, answer people yourself! If you engage people in conversations or issues, you will build your own friendships, with new people, etc. African Girl, Gitane, Missouri Fan, Cliniqua, etc. all were first time posters at one time, and they don’t know one another outside of this blog, so it can happen for you as well….
hey, me too. i finally posted last night and only a couple of people acknowledged me, hmmm no big deal though. just want to let everyone know that i am from socalifornia and i live just outside of los angeles and actually go to school in the hollywood area. i can see los feliz from my school’s window!! by the way i love bamzs
here in los angeles, if you hang out at the right spots, you can actually see many movie and tv stars. it’s nothing really,life goes on but i will definitely melt if i see my fave couple!

SHE CUT A BABY OUT OF THE WOMB?!!! WHAT THE ****????!!!! OMG!!! that’s the sickest thing i’ve ever heard! but it brings up an interesting observation. yesterday my sister told me that Prince George’s County Maryland has been documented as having the highest rate of spousal abuse in the country. Westwego, LA has (or had–who knows after katrina) the highest concentration of sex offenders in the u.s. it’s like every city, community or district has it’s own unique population of psychopaths. it’s like there’s literally something in the water. do these people flock together to a certain area or, does the area itself influence certain types of criminal behavior?
whatever the answer is, i ain’t movin’ to missoura anytime soon. i’ve got baby fever bad enough as it is. i’d hate to see what i’d do if placed in the wrong environment. used to be a chef, you know.
