Brad & Angelina: More Banksy Love

Lainey is both funny and annoying at the same time.
As a previous poster said, I believe they are getting everybody used to seeing them together before the premieres and award season begins. But to to make it out to be this elaborate pr machina- tions is over the top. To my mind Lainey’s late to the party so she makes up for it with these elaborate theories. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t doubt that they manipulate the media for their causes, careers and family privacy but, they don’t do any more than any other star and considering the intense scrutiny they are always under they are remarkably subtle and restrained in handling the media.

But they do it better, with more imagination and unpredictability. The Pitts don’t pander to the media…they manipulate the media ever so professional, interesting and nice. While Brad is charming and glib on the Hollywood scene Angie is shy with toughness…she doesn’t suffer kiss asses but she is also very professional, article and kind….if she can’t she’ll stay away.

I think they make a very good couple, they’re “qually yoke.”

Paper Apologizes for Fake Kidman Quotes
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2006 05:10PM EST

Scotland’s Daily Record has issued an apology to Nicole Kidman after publishing quotes it claimed she’d made about Angelina Jolie’s charity work.

“In an article published on Friday, Sept. 8, we attributed comments to Nicole Kidman in relation to Angelina Jolie. We accept that Ms. Kidman did not make those comments to us and we apologize for any upset,” the paper said in a statement and in print on Monday.

Kidman was quoted as criticizing Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, for getting undue attention for her charitable work.

“It’s not like Angelina is any better than a nurse working in a hospital, but she’s getting the publicity for her contribution,” the quotation read in part.

Kidman, who is an ambassador to UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women, has a “tremendous admiration for Ms. Jolie and her tireless, worldwide charitable work,” a rep for the Australian actress said in a statement Monday

I’ve said it so many times, til I was blue in the face, to everyone that was gunning for Nicole — that she and Angie were friends and that she’d never say anything negative (I thought the quote was misconstrued - had no idea it was a total lie, but I’m not surprised). Like I said when that first broke, Nicole admires AJ, they’re friends (AJ went to see Nicole’s sick little pal, young Aussie cancer patient Dylan Hartung at Nicole’s request) - PLUS, Nicole had joined a UN group herself due to her admiration of what AJ does, so I KNEW it was bullsh**.

I was just about to post when I read your post.
I spoke to her today and she is going through something that no parent will want to go through. She lost her two boys. They died in an auto accident about 3 weeks ago. One was a medical student, and the other just got into college. She is devastated, but she is dealing with her grief like the woman of substance that she is, so if you all could please keep her in your prayers. I will be seeing her tomorrow, I’ll let you guys know. She has not logged on here as you can imagine, when you go through such tragedy, it puts things in perspective for you.

It makes you wonder, how one goes from 2 sons and a daughter to just having a daughter. But she is so grateful that she had the boys in her life and was blessed to have been their mother. As some of you regulars know, Elena is big on volunteer work and she passed that on to her children, and apparently her sons touched a lot of lives as well.

All I can say is that life is certainly too short, live everyday like it were your last, and touch as many people as you can, that really is our legacy.

I hate to do it but….

380 | COLD HARD MATH | - Thanks CHM, I am glad that Nicole got a apology from that rag, when that story came out I was surprise and ready to jump on Nicole, but then I realize that she could not have said that, because she is not that kind of person, plus she and Angelina are on good terms.
