OlderAngelina Jolie Does Charitable Work
There was a supposed rift between Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman after Scotland’s Daily Record quoted Kidman as saying, “It’s not like Angelina is any better than a nurse working in a hospital, but she’s getting the publicity for her contribution.”
Yesterday, The Daily Record admitted that Kidman never said those things about Angelina and apologized for “any upset caused.” Instead, Kidman’s publicist, Catherine Olim did release a statement on behalf of Nicole Kidman:
“Ms. Kidman has tremendous admiration for Angelina Jolie and her tireless, worldwide charitable work, as well as for the work of countless less well known volunteers in areas of need around the world.”

Me too. Can’t stand her, even before she had X on her show. I liked the old Oprah better. Even with the bad hair and makeup, the show was more about content and less about the glitter. Not anymore.

I’m very sorry to read about Elena sons, please give my condolence to Elena and her family. I didn’t have a chance to post this earlier. Yesterday was one of thoes day for me to cry or be happy, I got a phone call and found out that one of our family member passed away then later on the same day another phone call to welcome a new life being born. We never can tell what life give to us, every moment is a blessing to be alive. And the pain of losing a love one is very painful, I’ll be praying for Elena and her family in the days to come.

We have been locked out of our regular thread. I did write an interim message on the previous thread (the Banksy one) near the bottom of the page to express my grief for Elena as well. It’s a loss one never gets over. (I know a bit of that.) And one nobody should ever suffer. (I honestly wouldn’t even wish that for Aniston or her cohorts.) I’m still reeling over such an awful tragedy.

Paramount Vantage has picked up Bennett Miller’s latest film, The Immortalist; they’ll produce the drama through Brad Pitt’s Plan B.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, details are being kept quiet; however, it’s set in the world of life extension. Miller describes it as “not a science fiction film, but a drama set in the very real world of those pursuing biological immortality. It’s a pursuit that attracts some extremely brilliant, wealthy and influential people; it also attracts tragic figures. This story follows one such person on his disturbing foray into it.”
The Immortalist has yet to be written; the film is still in development.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Bennett Miller, the Oscar-nominated director of “Capote,” is working on a futuristic movie called “The Immortalist.”
The project, which has yet to be written, is a “character-driven drama set in the emerging world of life extension,” he said.
Details of the plot are still under wraps, but Miller described it as “not a science fiction film … (but) a drama set in the very real world of those pursuing biological immortality.”
He added: “It’s a pursuit that attracts some extremely brilliant, wealthy and influential people. It also attracts tragic figures. This story follows one such person on his disturbing foray into it.”
The script will be written by Dante Miller, who is also developing a project about Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
The project is set up at Paramount Vantage, the arthouse unit of Paramount Pictures, and Brad Pitt’s studio-based banner Plan B.

Be sane, you are having mommy’s separation anxiety…..I did bear one but I’m rearing one….it’s hard not to give in to their pleas isn’t it!! But you have to do it. Sometimes I think why are we sending our children so early (pre-schoolers)? For independence at such a tender age of 3? I can’t believe I see parents sending their babies in playgroup right after turning 1.

You know..I always thought that X was embarrassed that Brad went along with his committment to that shoot because it came out after it became obvious Brad and Angie had become a couple. I thought it was because the pics are hot and sexy and that hurt her feelings..however, I wonder if the real reason was because she realized that the pics represented an unhappy marriage. A fraud. Just like hers had become(minus the children) Maybe THAT played a part in her HURT? Just speculating.

I think the W layout hit Aniston so hard because it depicts what her sham of a marriage is all about behind the golden halo. The concept revealed the wife who is a drunk and it so ring thru for her. Its no secret the girl loves her margarita and alcohol.

When people like Yeahright come on here and disparage million-
dollar donations, and don’t even have the facts right about Jolie
doing more than a photo-op and are under the impression she
stays in top-flight hotels while writing a check, it makes me shake
my head. They went to all the trouble to look up some of the
donations she’s made where the recipients actually published it,
not what she does there digging wells and tending to the sick, or
anything else, and come on with half-assed insults. I guess even a
million-dollar donation should be considered “nothing” in their
minds. What do people like that WANT?!?!?!
What on earth would make them happy? Would they be happier if
she did NOTHING AT ALL? Seems to be the case. I don’t see
them on Madonna’s thread listing her contributions and saying
they are not enough, or on rachel Bilson’s thread saying she
shoud donate something. No, just Jolie’s thread, that no matter
how much she donates, it’s just a tax write-off, and they don’t
even have the facts right.
What is wrong with people who criticize those doing charity work
above the normal amount done? Are they angry that someone
they don’t like for whatever reason is receiving praise for being
kind and a better person than they are themselves? Will this same
jealous anger come out when Jolie wins more acting awards, or
Pitt does? What is WRONG with these people?

For all those who think Angelina needs to do charity to clean up
her image, do you realize that she created that image herself with
her OWN confessions of teen troubles, and her past addictions,
and her tattoos, which she continues to get? She is so UNAFRAID
to scare the mediocre mainstream people out there who can’t
handle a little girl-on-girl action or holding hands and kissing her
brother. See what it got her? A self-assuredness that she was
true to her soul, and didn’t give a damn what anyone else
thought.
I first became an ardent admirer of HER, not just her critically
acclaimed acting ability, in her Rolling Stone interview, when she
lay in the grass with a sexy, just-f***ed look on her face,
revealing her tattoos. I’m hetero and I creamed my pants! To
read her speaking so frankly, it was refreshing, and I had to smile
at this bold creature who was so young, and yet so passionate
about what she believed in, and to hell with uptight people like the
haters who come on here. She is very moral, honest, and
traditional than people think, she just comes at it from an
unconventional angle. What a delightfully unique, good-hearted
person!!
So yeah, her doing charity work has NO EFFECT on her image
whatsoever. She will keep getting tattoos, loving in a passionate
way whoever she wants regardless of color or gender, and exuding
a sexuality that scares the repressed. GO ANGIE!! Charity or not,
she doesn’t care what YOU think, and neither does Hollywood.
Has anyone seen OPRAH very lately.? She was at Rachael Ray’s show. We couldn’t believe our eyes. Is she trying to look like Halle Berry.? Her plastic surgeon deserves his fees in GOLD. Amazing what money can do….
Bet X and Oprah got the same plastic surgeon.
