OlderAngelina Jolie Does Charitable Work
There was a supposed rift between Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman after Scotland’s Daily Record quoted Kidman as saying, “It’s not like Angelina is any better than a nurse working in a hospital, but she’s getting the publicity for her contribution.”
Yesterday, The Daily Record admitted that Kidman never said those things about Angelina and apologized for “any upset caused.” Instead, Kidman’s publicist, Catherine Olim did release a statement on behalf of Nicole Kidman:
“Ms. Kidman has tremendous admiration for Angelina Jolie and her tireless, worldwide charitable work, as well as for the work of countless less well known volunteers in areas of need around the world.”

I just saw the Dixie Chicks on Ellen. First, they beautifully performed “Not Ready to Make Nice” then they sat down for an interview where they basically talked about Natalie’s Bush comment back in 2003 and the effect it’s had on them. Emily said that their manager predicted that the overaction of the haters would only last three days lol We already knew of the death threats and how some conservative states and country radio stations won’t play their songs but they also talked about their new audience. Natalie said that the crowd is not only there to enjoy their concert but also to show their support. All of three of them can feel it when they perform. She added that her comment gave them more freedom artisticly because Taking the Long Way is their first album that they’ve written and produced,
Their friends and families were harassed too and that was the hardest thing for them . Natalie said that she became closer to her family because of it. All three of them do come from mostly Republican families but unlike their former fans, they didn’t abandon them.

Alexanderina, my comp froze for a sec. Ellen’s audience seemed very supportive of the Chicks, they cheered a lot.
For their last song, they performed Easy Silence! YAY! lol But I didn’t get to see the whole performance because the show ended.
Can I just add, I love that business about AJ kissing Brad’s hand at the art gallery, when he caressed her cheek. ((((Swoon))))

WASHINGTON - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are giving gifts of $1 million each to two humanitarian organizations, an adviser to the couple said Wednesday.
The recipients are Global Action for Children and Medecins sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders.
“In the most troubled parts of the world - places that much of the world has abandoned - MSF is always there,” said Jolie in a statement issued by Trevor Neilson, the couple’s philanthropic and political adviser. “I have seen these brave men and women working in war zones and horrific conditions and I deeply admire them.”
Jolie, who co-starred with Pitt in the 2005 film “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commission for Refugees.
Jennifer Delaney, U.S. director for Global Action for Children, expressed her thanks for the gift from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
“Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt not only care, but more important, are taking concrete action to address the fact that there will be 20 million children orphaned by AIDS by 2010, and millions more orphaned by tuberculosis, malaria and conflict or whose parents are sick and dying,” she said.
Delaney said the vast majority of these children are in the care of extended families and communities that need support to overcome the ravages of HIV/AIDS and poverty.

Gitane the house where the shoot took place just went on the market for sale, so you should be able to see some good shots of it on the realty site. It’s in Palm Springs, I believe. Sorry i don’t have the links, but if someone could find the story that was posted about the house being up for sale, that’s a good place to start.
