OlderAngelina Jolie Does Charitable Work
There was a supposed rift between Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman after Scotland’s Daily Record quoted Kidman as saying, “It’s not like Angelina is any better than a nurse working in a hospital, but she’s getting the publicity for her contribution.”
Yesterday, The Daily Record admitted that Kidman never said those things about Angelina and apologized for “any upset caused.” Instead, Kidman’s publicist, Catherine Olim did release a statement on behalf of Nicole Kidman:
“Ms. Kidman has tremendous admiration for Angelina Jolie and her tireless, worldwide charitable work, as well as for the work of countless less well known volunteers in areas of need around the world.”

Yes Angie is very down to earth woman, I have high respect on her when she mingles with those poor people in 3rd world countries like spending 3 nights living in a crowded small tent. I noticed her in Beyond Boarder’s movie . Brad is one my favorite actor but not crazy about his marrriage life with aniston nor love life with GP. For me JA & GP are too classy & high maintenance. & will not associate with poor people. Angie seems doesnt care to wear ordinary clothes but when she dress up for occaionns, wow… oh my gosh .. she has this stunning natural magnetic beauty. I totally understand your adoration with her..

it is sad how some people can trivialize the contribution of those who can. i applaud brad/angelina for giving to these organizations. i’ve read about doctors without borders and i am amaze for the tremendous dedication they give to their cause. it is only fitting that they be supported and so is the children’s foundation. and for the record i don’t hold any of these people as saints. they are just as human as we are only famous who make good use of it. so there…
WASHINGTON (AP) — Movie stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are giving gifts of $1 million each to two humanitarian organizations, an adviser to the couple said Wednesday.
The recipients are Global Action for Children and Medecins sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders.
“In the most troubled parts of the world — places that much of the world has abandoned — MSF is always there,” said Jolie in a statement issued by Trevor Neilson, the couple’s philanthropic and political adviser. “I have seen these brave men and women working in war zones and horrific conditions and I deeply admire them.”
Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commission for Refugees.
Jennifer Delaney, U.S. director for Global Action for Children, expressed her thanks for the gift from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
“Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt not only care, but more important, are taking concrete action to address the fact that there will be 20 million children orphaned by AIDS by 2010, and millions more orphaned by tuberculosis, malaria and conflict or whose parents are sick and dying,” she said.
Delaney said the vast majority of these children are being cared by extended families and communities that need support to overcome the ravages of HIV/AIDS and poverty.

EXACTLY why Brad and Angelina announce their donations! The
idiots out there don’t get that. Now we KNOW about Global Action
for Children, and will find out what they do. Now we have learned
more about what is going on in the world, and who is working to
improve it. While the haters complain that their ears were forced
to hear about a donation, the rest of the thinking world will pay
attention to the work that Global Action for Children do, and if not
donate themselves, or volunteer, at least be educated about it.
