I bought a pair of shades at the beginning of summer from CHICO’s looked very much like these ones for $35. I got a lot of compliments wearing them, but my seventeen year old son took them away from me. Does anyone know how much these Shiseido ones cost?

Very true. They are a joke. They call her a manipulator yet what do you call Us Weekly? Life and Style?These mags make their own stories up they dont need angelina.They are simply bitter that all their nasty headlines didnt hurt her. They made her more focused on what she wanted. And any person that has followed Angelina these past five yrs knows what she is doing now is consistant with what she has done in the past. The adoption, the foundation, the UNHCR work.Its who she is. Its real. Us weekly’s editor needs to start talking about how they work with Aniston on her pr. How her man Huvene made them cover her as much as they did in 2005. To peddle the pitty stories leading up to VF. Until then, bussinesss week or whatever their name is can shove it.

The Good shepherd will be an awesome Movie-good to see the shift toward meaningful movies now-Businessweek’s article is a speculative opinion on Jolie which pads the pockets of businessweek owners-So they too play the game. I guess Aniston’s hundred cover magazine ploy was not a part of the game. I guess the I am a woman whose man was stolen and who wanted a child and who cried when someone mentioned my ex husband having a child with someone else was honest emotion and not said to gain public sympathy. Whatever Jolie is, she is what she is, take it or leave it. Aniston does not know who or what she is that’s why her pity party did not work to her advantage. It would have been better if she came out smoking saying “hey I was tired of Brad a long time ago and he got sick of me too. So we broke up-I don’t give a rat’s ass who he dates, married , or impregnate. Right, Wrong, or indiferrent,I am focusing on my career first. So NO I don’t want to have a child right now and be that as it may it is my effin’ choice. So those of you who want to bash me, go ahead, that’s your choice, but this is my life and I decided to live it on my terms, with or without Brad-so there you go.”—Had she come out like that, she would have gained the support and more importantly the public would have flocked to see her movies regardless of how bad they were. You see, the media makes the star. It’s not the other way around. But the star has total control over the media by their words and actions. Jen didn’t have to do derailed to get out of being character typed. All she had to do was show some backbone in her decisions.-Do you agree?

ITA; Jen was always so concerned about the fans’ perception of her so much so that all her actions post-divorce have been geared towards making people love her more and/or feel sorry for her (even as she said “Don’t pity me!”). She decided to use the VF interview to start her pity party (whether of her own volition or per S. Huvane’s suggestion/orders) and then freefell from there. Instead of getting more fans, a lot of the women saw through her manipulations and became disgusted. And some of us (like me) who at first were on the fence about this whole thing decided to go whole hog with “Team Angelina” because nothing is more pathetic than a self-pitying, whining person who can’t seem to move on with her life!!!

Hey You! How you doing today? People will say horrible things even when the facts are right in front of them. So bloody sad. This is why it’s useless to try and defend our gal and guy to these people, because they will continue to pour out their hateful comments. I feel so sorry for the people who come onto this site to enjoy intelligent conversations about our gal and guy only to be greeted by hateful, uneducated comments. No, Maria is NOT falling into that trap. I’ll read, but won’t comment. I first look for the ‘Real Deal’ gal comments, then I tackle the ’slugs & zombie’ post.

to Angelina, my own thinking is that most of the credit for media
manipulation since Angelina hooked up with Brad is actually
Brad’s. I think Brad is the more calculative of the 2. I don’t mean
that in a nasty way at all. Its like Tiger Woods. He reads the golf
course and the greens and plays the golf course, adapting his
game to the course, the weather etc. Brad just strikes me as the
one who reads the media “golf course” and weather etc and sets
the tone. Again don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Angelina agrees
with Brad about this. Why do I think Brad is the more calculative.
Well, its the way he has set up his production company for a start
- its really Plan B for when his movie star status starts to fade as it
will one day. Plan B is ready and running. Look at the way he
cooly bought up 3 homes in Los Feliz, and patiently developed the
garden.

One of the reasons why I like this couple is that they do what they
have to do and live their lives doing what is important to them.
Despite the fact that it may be better to be married, better not to
have Shiloh till later, better to do the usual thing and have Shiloh
in that fancy hospital in LA, they do what the want and manage
the media accordingly. They have not uttered a negative word
about anyone, especially Jennifer. No, Brad didn’t really say
anything negative about Mel Gibson - it was a inference but you
can’t be certain.

Jennifer on the other hand lost my support and other womens
support after her VF interview and of course other interviews. I
KNOW the celebrities manipuliate, but I don’t like being frog
marched in a particular direction - to pitying her. To thinking of
her as this sweet thing and letting her friends wield the stilleto. I
can’t respect her actions. I think she will always be remembered
as the victim. Yes, she got a short term gain but, really, in
another12 months, can she still be poor sad X, cheated out of her
happiness??

Good Points. I guess it gets down to who do you allow at the steering wheel. I am not a control freak, but I don demand to make the final decisions in my life. I too was on the fence about Jen because I liked her and really I still do. I do not hate this lady. Unlike Fanistons, I don’t throw the baby out withthe bathwater. There are things I admire about Jen. It’s just I lost respect and admiration for her when she turned the tables on Brad. Her VF intervew and subsequent ones are totally responsible for the hatred towards Brad and Angie. Brad almost said something specific about his relationship with Angie a long time ago way before they were an absolute couple. But he changed his mind. He could have said so many bad things about Jen and I am sure he has lots of ppl who could have taken his side in an intervew, but he chose NOT to say anything. I believe there was an agreement between them to not say anything until their movies were done. But she didn’t keep her part of the bargain because he quickly went on to Jolie. Why would he tell her about his feelings if he and Jen were going to stay together? I believe he told her because he knew that’s the direction he wanted to go in after the separation but he fought it because it would be months before he would be able to do so and Jen’s movies wouldn’t be complete. Jen probly was not in love with Brad for a long time. She jsut didn’t have anyone else to go to at the time. So in a nut shell, The Jolie-Pitts get my admiration as movie stars and humanitarians. Jen on the other hand gets what she wanted-Pity. I agree with the calculative Brad persona. I believe that too. It can be used to your advantage or disadvantage.
