OlderJolie/Pitt Foundation Formed
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have formed the Jolie/Pitt Foundation to aid humanitarian causes around the world. The newly formed charitable foundation is giving away $1 million to the Global Action for Children and $1 million to Doctors Without Borders, to help families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.
The U.S. director for Global Action for Children, Jennifer Delaney, said: “Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt not only care, but more important, are taking concrete action to address the fact that there will be 20 million children orphaned by AIDS by 2010, and millions more orphaned by tuberculosis, malaria and conflict or whose parents are sick and dying.”
The couple’s spokesman, Trevor Neilson, released a statement saying: “Angelina and Brad are committed to using their resources to help the world’s most vulnerable people. These two organizations are focusing on crises that receive far too little attention and Angelina and Brad are happy to do their part to help.”
And here’s a list of Brad and Angelina’s Banksy art purchases:
- $226,000: The “Picnic” painting depicts a white family of four merrily lunching under an umbrella on a red checked blanket while 15 starving Africans - including several children with distended bellies - look on.
- $75,000: A white bust with a bleeding bullet hole in the forehead - was a particular favorite of Jolie’s. “She went nuts for that one,” an onlooker told the mag. “She told [her baby daddy], ‘I must have that one.’”
- $75,000: Portrait of a man hit in the head with a custard pie.

I could never have believed there were so many morons in existence. Don’t you guys ever get tired of hating? Don’t you get constipated with all that vile inside you?
What is it about Brad and Angie and their fans that draw you people like a moth to fire? You know you don’t really have anything intelligent to say but you say it anyway, afterall nobody can really see you making an ass of yourself.
If you have not figured out yet, Brad and Angelina could care less about what you think, and they are pretty lucky with the fans that they have, we can make up our own mind.
Why does Brad and Angie have to be the only ones to take care of every ill that is affecting you. I can’t believe how insane you have to be to rag on people who have decided to help, and yet give a free pass to others who make just as much money but choose not to help. And for the person complaining about them not working through the Red Cross, I guess you have not heard about the work Angie has been doing with UNCHR for the last 5 years.

She plays a dealer in the latest “Ocean’s Thirteen,” which is being shot this week in Las Vegas.

Guys, I agree with Madison can we please not start arguing over what this administration has done? Talking about politics can get ugly and it could tear us apart.
Why don’t we just ignore the troublemakers instead of answering back with nasty comments ourselves. It just adds fuel to the fire. I am in a situation where I don’t agree with the troublemakers. They are a bunch of losers. I also don’t agree with some of the responses.
As least Angie is not carrying the lastest in bags, wearing the latest in clothes, etc. At least Angie and Brad are doing something. All those of you who question their efforts, should leave and go over to the post with Jen and Vince.

This is their particular interest, Just as others have their pet projects, Some people are into saving the animals, some into saving the forrest, Please turn your hate into something positive, these two people are walking the walk. Hey Madison. I don’t think Cliniqua really wanted to say anything naughty about Conservatives. I think she just gets ragged with the slugs and zombies that come here and say the things they say. I don’t give a toss if someone is Conservative or Liberal, what matters is that we have two people who are willing to do something for others. That’s what really matters at the end of the day.

Thanks for the link, I learned about this Org. while reading Angies book. They are just outstanding. And I am not surprised that Angie wants to help them in their efforts.
I wonder If Brad is still being considered to play one of the lead roles in Atlas Shrugged.
Are they trying to be the next Bill Gates? What about the name–will be interesting when they split up (as 99% of Hollywodd couples do). Why didn’t they just quietly form a foundation without all the press/pr? They’d probably do more good if they stayed focused on one area. They seem like philanthropists with ADD.

All non profit org like charitable foundation has to file tax return. The IRS are scrutinizing them. A tax return will detail what came in and what went out. Just like any corporate return.
