Annie Shoots Angelina Again
Four years ago, Annie Leibovitz shot Angelina Jolie for the April 2002 cover of Vogue in their first-ever Shape Issue. Four years later, Annie is at it again with Angelina!
Annie Leibovitz is tired and nursing a cold, and she’ s just flown back to New York on the red-eye from Los Angeles, where she spent two days shooting Angelina Jolie for Vogue. Like so many of her photo sessions, there was nothing simple about it. “I talked with Angelina before the shoot,” says Leibovitz, who’s famous for her preparation. “She felt like she was coming back from having the baby and she felt very sexy and ready to go.” Jolie, a pilot, suggested shooting on an old airfield near the desert, with motorcycles and small planes among the props. (She flew herself to the location and the next day, Brad Pitt buzzed up in his plane.) They also spent a day shooting in the dunes near Death Valley, where the mercury hit 104, and the wind whipped so hard that everyone was peppered with sand. There were 50 people on the set, and racks of clothes from the New York spring collections to be tried and styled. It was as if Leibovitz were directing a small movie.
It’ll be very, very interesting to see how Annie will portray Angelina four years later. Expect Angelina Jolie to grace the November 2006 or December 2006 issue of Vogue. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

6 | kidi | - Hi Kidi, I agree and I can’t wait to see them. Don’t you just love the part where Brad buzzed up on his place, so cute and sweet :)
Brad YOU ARE ONE LUCKY GUY!!!
# 9 Hi Alexanderina, always good to see your posts.
well this will be good. I guess I will be buying that mag. Will bp be making a cameo. I sure as hell hope so.
9 | Alexanderina | I think that’s the sweetest thing. This woman is so fierce, seriously who flies themself out to the desert for a photo-shoot.
Hey Alex, your Giants are coming back, the score is now 42 - 24
11 | kidi | -Thanks Kidi, I love this Site and I will always posts here, JJ is my stomping ground, even though sometimes its get a little crazy with the haters
Well, at first — I thought they may have just meant that ‘Brad “buzzed” overhead’ in his plane — but they say “buzzed up” so maybe he WILL make a cameo in the shoot. Maybe he actually came up for the shoot — perhaps that’s where the whole “feeling sexy,” thing came from eh? :-D Whooo can’t wait — she looks unearthly and at the same time earthy in those pics — just gorgeous!
Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie forum on FemaleFirst will be closed down beginning Monday.
Hay ya’ll! I skimmed the sunglasses thread, and meh…I’ll just start afreash with a new thread. I know I missed some good and bad stuff, but how cool to see Angie is gonna have a cool new photo spread for Vogue! Yay! And will… we …possibly get an interview on the side with that photshoot order? I hope so!
And it say, Angie’s feeling sexy these days….wonder why? hee hee!
13 | QQQQ | - I agree 4Q, our Angie is one fierce woman, she is just incredible and so brave; and you know that there is nobody like our Angie, I love it that she flew by herself out to the desert for the photoshoot, she is indeed my hero :)
14 | QQQQ | - Yeah, but it is a little to late, they have to start playing better

20 | Alexanderina | Alex, they just scored again, its now a 12 point game. u never know
Lucky Brad…to have such a beauty.
Thanks Just Jared for the new thread. AJ looks great. I hope that they do close down Female First. That site has breed enough haters for a lifetime. They have festered and stewed in their hate long enough. Best Wishes to BAMZS. I am looking forward to the new Vogue layout. I am not much into fashion magazines, preferring the Home and Garden types. However, I will pick up this magainze as I am a fan of BP/AJ.

16 | CLINIQUA | - Hiya Cliniqua, I am really hoping that he will be in one or two of the photos, that is my wishful hope anyway:) , November or December can’t come fast enough. I just love her in these photos, so incredible gorgeous.

then jj should impose the typekey thing to filter the filth coming from these female heifers b!^$&*$….
btw….my chickie babe is really good looking and absolutely fabulous….braddy is so lucky and he better knows it…. :)
23 | QQQQ | - Wow, thanks 4Q for the update, how much time left?
These are the Liebowitz pictures of Angie from 4 years ago, right? These aren’t the new pictures, correct? I have seen these before. I can’t wait to see the new layout. Clini, if Brad is in a couple of shots that would be divine, wouldn’t it? How sexy that Brad just “buzzed in”? He couldn’t stay away for a whole day, that’s far too much to ask. He probably wanted to see Angie all made up and posed. The curiosity got the best of him, likely. LOL!
I would love to see them do a sexy ethereal set of photos. Or a vintage bit in an old plane. Whatever it is I am sure it will be a treat!
That pic of her in the white dress is my favorite, I can’t wait to see the new pics and I hope there’s an interview too.
#6 kidi …You are so right. Angelina is in a league
of her own. I love her, Brad and the kids.
Hey guys, I tried to post on the other thread but couldn’t. Anyway, with respect to FF (B&A Forum)… it seems like they have a new Administrator and there was one thread which indicated that they will be closing down on Monday. I am not sure if it is tomorrow or next Monday.

Hiya Dragonfly, my thoughts exactly, because now they are going to come over here talking crazy ****. But I am glad that FF decided to closed that Thread
Annie Leibovitz always takes such interesting photos - always unexpected, never cheesy. Love these ones of Angelina!
Does anyone have a copy of or a link to the article from 4 years ago. I’d like to get an idea of what their interviews are like.

Maybe that place will be run now by somebody who won;t allow death wishes on babies. I am glad, but seriously, I wonder if those posters will now fan out to all the other sites, especially this one. Brace yourselves, ladies and gents.
33 | CCCC | - Hey CCCC, I tired to posted over at the other thread as well, but was denied, so I guess it is true, when a new thread is open the old one is closed
CCCC
I had this response for the other thread but got “locked” out. Anyhoo, I don’t think I am feeling that shut down thing on FF. I seriously take issue with it. How very irresponsible of FF…..that’s like a mental Institute Closing its doors without making arrangements for the patients. Very, very reckless of them….releasing these Psychos to the general public.
Bamzs Fans brace yourselves for an onslaught, you know they’re gonna blame BP, AJ and their Fans for this “injustice”
CCCC, checked….there was nothing there.
Hi Alex. Brad and Angie being so happy, and even having positive tab stories written about them must be driving the FF’s bonkers! LOL!
Can’t wait for Angie’s new photos.
While I’m thrilled that FF finally got some responsibility. As I said on the Shiseido thread, I worry where they will go. I’m thinking typekey might be necessary. Alll that hate has to go somewhere. While WE might not be popular on sites like Perez, the Anistonistas will be hated and put down quickly and unless we raise the drawbridge, they may come here.

Is the whole site going down or just the B&A section? Maybe the new admin over there should just try to make them behave. Yeah right. There’s no reasoning with irrational hateration.
What’s with all these green links?
Oh, lovely.
Here comes the nastiness. And after spending all that time on youtube, absorbing the BA love.. I suppose that we’ll have to ignore them. Unfortunately, some of the nastier ones will make it impossible.
As for AJ and Annie Leibovitz, I’m looking forward to the pics and the article. It’ll be my first time buying a Vogue. I’m not too into fashion mags.
Can’t wait for the new pictures and interview! Glad Annie Leibovitz is the photographer..she’s great.
Brad and Angie really can’t seem to stay away from each other for long. :)
Oh no!…Are the loonies going to be let out because of the new adminstrator?
#42 dragonfly,Pop ups.I had the same problem until I turned on my pop-up blockers then it stopped.
That is great,I adore Vogue and Angelina is always a good choice for the cover, and it seems like it will be a very hot photoshoot.Sexy Angelina is back i am really looking forward to this issue.
42 | dragonfly - I think it is on the B&A Forum from what I understood. They are trying to set up something else of their own. I hope it is true because that place is a cesspool of sickos and wackos… it needs to be shut down.
If I am correct the FF ‘close on Monday’ is just a joke some wacko
named “Lena” posted. I will believe it when I see it happening. But
unlike FF, in here if they start wishing death, insulting children with
racist comments, we can ask Jared to strike it.
I have no doubt they will be beautiful pictures. Kind of hard to go wrong with Angie as the subject.
OH MY GOD! She looks better than ever! I am so getting that mag!
Thanks JJ I just can’t wait to see these pics :)
Thanks, CCCC. Hopefully they will all just go off together and set up their own private little hatefest where they can nasty away all they want away from decent people.
Pop-ups? Ok. Thanks!
I was looking over at bradforums, and it appears that Brad def. has a tatoo. Woot!
Do you guys know what will she be promoting?I mean usually stars have something to promote when they grace the cover of Vogue,of course Angleina is a star in the leauge of her own so i guess she doesnt need a reason to be on Vogues cover.I was just wondering.
40 | dragonfly | - Hey dragonfly, I totally agree with ya, it must be driving them more insane than they already are lol, and now with FF closing down the B&A forum, we better be on the look out for some crazy ******* to invade JJ. I am so looking forward to the Vogue Issue with Angie, it is going to be great.
What else can I say, but
Yaaaay!!!!
Hey Guys!
So FF is shuting down the B/A forum? Wow!
I think we are going to see a LOT of Angie, in the coming months. I know these pictures will be stunning. I wonder when the photo shoot was done.
Cliniqua, The necklace code, very interesting…….
That blue dress looks so good on her. I know she loves black…but deep tones of colors look so good on her. I hope she wears something colorful for the shoot…even though she looks great in any color..even black.

Her movie The Good Shepard will be coming out soon.

Hey there….where have you been? We missed you lots. About FF, I’m not sure if it’s the site or just posts that have to do with BP and AJ
17 | from Ms. Prunella Watney-Tennents |
I think it’s because it may get a lot of posts but it’s probably from a group of 10 or less. I refuse to believe more than 10 people can be that crazy with rage over B&A being together. So it’s not worth having a forum on their site that only a few people post in anyway.
Here is the article from the shape issue from April 2002…
_________
Angelina Jolie does not carry a cell phone. She doesn’t wear a
watch. She doesn’t have an e-mail address. Though she’s
always had a manager, she employs no publicist or agent,
because she doesn’t like the idea of anyone speaking on her
behalf. “Also,” she says, “I just don’t get along with a lot of
people.” The huge walk-in closet in the house in Beverly Hills
that she shares with husband Billy Bob Thornton is filled with
his clothes. Hers take up one little rack. She frequently travels
by herself with nothing but a backpack and a duffel bag.
“Everybody says, ‘How can you go to the airport alone? How are
you going to change planes?’” she says. “And I’m like, ‘God. I
remember I used to be able to do this. I swear I can.’ It’s
freedom! I like to feel free.”
Mostly, people call her Angie. As her husband points out, “To
say ‘Angelina’ sounds like you’re about to recite a poem.” It
takes a little getting used to—thinking of her as Angie—but
once you do, it goes a long way toward dispelling many of the
preconceived notions about Angelina, a name that calls up all
sorts of conflicting associations: light and dark, good and bad,
heaven and hell. Angie, on the other hand, does not. In fact,
Angie sounds an awful lot like the nickname of a girl whose
mother grew up hanging out in a bowling alley in Chicago.
The media Angelina is steeped in Gothy darkness. There’s the
vial of Thornton’s blood she wears around her neck on a long
silver chain, the preference for black clothes and pale makeup,
the many tattoos, the early fascination with knives, the
confessed bisexuality, the public display of sisterly love at the
Oscars that many felt was a little creepy. The actual Angie
takes giddy pride in being a “really good wife” and stepmother
to Thornton’s two boys from another marriage, calls her
mother every day, doesn’t smoke, stays home most nights and
watches TV, and is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United
Nations High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR). But, really,
haven’t we always suspected there was more—much more—to
her than the sum of Angelina’s peculiarities? If not, then you
heard it here first.
She’s not so strange.

But, really, haven’t we always suspected there was more—much more—to her than the sum of Angelina’s peculiarities? If not, then you heard it here first.
She’s not so strange.
It’s mid-December, and Jolie is in Montreal rehearsing for Beyond Borders, a film directed by Martin Campbell (Vertical Limit, The Mask of Zorro) set in the world of war refugees and aid workers. The script was originally supposed to be directed by Oliver Stone, which is to say that it is both a love story and a complicated sociopolitical drama. Jolie plays Sarah, a young, somewhat flighty American working at a London art gallery. At the beginning, Sarah has just married into a wealthy British family and is about to lead a comfortable life of having kids, attending charity balls, and collecting art. Then she meets a doctor (Clive Owen) who is working with Ethiopian refugees. He awakens a passion in her to do something with her life, and by the end of the film she has grown up—and become a spokesperson for UNHCR.
Over a couple of days, Jolie and I spend a good many hours in her hotel. In fact, we never once set foot outside the climate-controlled splendor of the Omni. We sit, instead, in the same restaurant, at the same table, drinking the same red wine and eating the same food—lamb, well done; red-pepper-and-tomato soup—on both days. She appears to take great comfort in the familiar. If it was good yesterday, why not eat it again today? When I tell her that I wear a slight variation of the same outfit nearly every day, she hoists her glass in a toast: “God bless you!”
Many of the things Jolie has said over the last several years—as she went from playing tragic supermodel Gia to earnest superhero Lara Croft—have been misconstrued. She’s often half-kidding—being arch or perverse—and that aspect of her personality seems to get lost in translation. One has to see the raised eyebrow that accompanies some of her more eccentric utterances to fully appreciate them.
Because she is a first-class talker, Jolie often launches into long jazzy riffs—virtual thickets of verbiage. She’ll start to talk … then stop. Start again … and stop. Sometimes she will abandon the beginning of her riff several times until, at last, she hits the sweet spot. At one point, I ask what she’s sick of talking about, and a great big smile spreads across her face: “Probably what you’re sick of hearing about.”
“I’m always shocked by the perception of me,” she says. “I can never figure it out, and I actually try not to think about it because it’s so confusing. The weird thing is, it’s not totally wrong. But it’s only the surface of me. I can understand why people think it’s strange to wear blood around your neck, but I don’t think people think it’s strange that you’re obsessed with the person you love and you’re lucky you found him and things are sacred to you. Yeah, I have a lot of tattoos. Maybe it’s strange because it’s not typical for an actress. But I don’t think it’s abnormal that someone who spends their life in other skins wants to claim their own by marking things on it that matter to them.
The biggest misperception about me is that I’m not a conscious person or a smart person. I’ve been reckless, certainly, but I’m not a rebel without a cause. I’m not out to piss people off or irritate people or shock people. I was actually always coming from a place of trying to express something I’ve learned. Like when I was trying to explain that I fell in love with a woman, and that I understood something about life, or what that might feel like, or how interesting or beautiful that was. I thought I had expressed that; instead it just became some shocking tabloid thing, which was upsetting.
“I think I’m exactly the opposite of unpredictable. I’m extremely focused. When I have a feeling to do something, I just do it. So it seems like it’s come out of nowhere. My mom used to say that about me: that some things seem like they happened overnight. But she knows I’ve been in the process of figuring it out and talking about it for years.”
She was born Angelina Jolie Voight in 1975 in Los Angeles to actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand, who was 20 years old when she met and married the 32-year-old Oscar winner. Bertrand (who did in fact grow up in Chicago hanging out in her family’s bowling alley) gave up her youthful dream of becoming an actress to raise Jolie and her older brother, James Haven Voight.
Her parents separated when Jolie was six months old; the kids lived with Bertrand in a series of rented apartments in New York. When Jolie was eleven, Bertrand moved her family back to L.A., into yet another series of apartments—in the 90210 zip code so that Angie and Jamie could attend Beverly Hills High.
While the kids were growing up, money was tight. “We weren’t poor, but because I was the child of an actor there was an idea that we had a lot of money.” Because of the constant moving, Jolie and her mother and brother seem to have an us-against-the-world bond. Bertrand has helped guide both her children’s careers (James is an actor who has worked as an assistant director on several films). “Since I first started working, my mom was kind of my manager,” says Jolie. “And she’s ******* great.”
When I first ask Jolie about her father’s family, she swats the subject away: “I don’t know much about them.” When I ask if I can talk to her mother, she says no—”She’s never done an interview”—and then adds, “My father would not be a good person to interview because he’ll just … .” She laughs. “God only knows what he’ll say. We don’t really speak that much anymore.”
This comes as a bit of a surprise. While Jolie and Voight haven’t been all that close over the years, I read that they had reconnected during the making of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, in which Voight, at Jolie’s suggestion, played her long-lost father. At the time, Jolie and Voight did interviews together, and it seemed like they had finally bonded. She told USA Today, “If we weren’t related, we’d be friends. I like who he is.”
For his part, Voight is quick to point out their similarities. “Angie and I are a lot alike, and for whatever reason, we speak our piece,” he told me on the phone. “We’re very passionate people, and we’ve had our ins and outs, but mostly there’s a lot of love between us.”
Within her nuclear family, Jolie seems to be closest to her brother, James. When I bring up the flap over their demonstrative affection for each other on her big night at the Oscars in 2000, she starts to laugh. “To me, it was just amazing that people didn’t understand,” she says, still incredulous. “Saying I’m ‘in love’ with him is just an expression. It’s just the way I was talking. What I meant was, in this moment, with all this **** going on, all that matters to me is that guy sitting right there who has stood by me and is so ******* happy for me.”
Jolie started working when she was fourteen, and after her sophomore year she transferred to the continuation high school of the Beverly Hills school district, called Moreno, where they send students who have fallen behind or are working at full-time jobs. She graduated a year and a half early. At sixteen, she rented an apartment above a garage a few blocks from her mother’s place. By the time she was nineteen, she was earning enough money to buy her own apartment in L.A. It was the first time in her whole life that she lived in a nonrented home.
Aside from Lookin’ to Get Out, a film she appeared in with her father when she was six, Jolie’s first big break was the 1995 cyberthriller Hackers, which costarred English actor Jonny Lee Miller (best known for playing Sick Boy in Trainspotting), whom she met on the set and married in 1996 (they divorced after three years). Her real moment, however, came thanks to cable television. In 1997, she was cast in the TNT biopic George Wallace as Wallace’s second wife, Cornelia, for which she won a Golden Globe.
The following year, she brilliantly inhabited the role of Gia Marie Carangi in the HBO production Gia. It was as if she understood a thing or two about lesbian supermodels and drugs. Indeed, a couple of years earlier, while making the film Foxfire, she had fallen in love and carried on an affair with her costar, the Calvin Klein model turned actress Jenny Shimizu. For Gia, she was awarded yet another Golden Globe, which led to her being cast as the raging id that is Lisa in Girl, Interrupted, which led to an Oscar for best supporting actress, which led to her acceptance speech in which she said she was “in love” with her brother, which led to her being thrust onto the world stage as the dark and creepy Angelina.
One evening after dinner, Jolie and I head upstairs to her hotel suite so that she can meet Lou, her piano teacher. She has been learning to play a pretty little piece by Robert Schumann from a series called Scenes from Childhood. “In Beyond Borders,” she says, “my character is supposed to play the piano, and I was either going to fake it or learn it. And I said, ‘I’ll do this. I will learn exactly how to play this classical piece.’ And it’s become the nightmare of my existence.”
Jolie is known for taking her work home with her. A few years ago, I interviewed Winona Ryder just as Girl, Interrupted was about to be released, and I asked about Jolie. “She’s an incredibly, phenomenally, naturally talented actress,” Ryder said. “But the dynamic between us was very strange. She kind of warned me. She said, ‘In this movie, this girl runs the place. And that’s probably what I’m going to be doing.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ Some of the girls, they really kind of became this group. That was her gang. She really took on the character.”
Just before Lou arrives, we sit down at a big, round table and I ask Jolie how she experiences acting. Is it hard work? Is it fun? “Acting is very real to me,” she says. “I’ve gotten to play characters I identify with. Like Gia and Lisa. I completely identified and needed to go through that.”
I ask if she has ever seen a shrink. An eyebrow goes up, and she says, “Why?” Nervous laughter, and then: “My films are my therapy.” I ask her to explain, and she does. “When I was doing Wallace, which was one of the first things I did, it was the beginning of the end of my first marriage. Because of the mistakes my character made, I learned to appreciate my husband, Jonny, during that film. I realized I wasn’t as right-on as I thought I was, and my character had a flaw, and it was a flaw that I had.”
There is a way in which making films—playing characters—seems to be an almost dangerous proposition for an emotional creature like Jolie. When Gia wrapped, Jolie found herself separated from Miller and living alone in a hotel in New York with a shaved head (Gia’s shaved head). She decided to stop acting because she “had nothing to give,” and started taking night classes at NYU—in directing and screenwriting.
“I would be by myself in the middle of the night in New York and feel like I didn’t really know my direction,” she says. But then, the movie came out, and something wonderful happened: people identified with Gia. A couple of years later, Jolie went through it all over again with Girl, Interrupted. “When we finished that film I thought, Well, people are going to hate Lisa and not understand her, and that’s just going to **** me up. When people whispered to me that they somehow did identify with her, it gave me such relief. I was so grateful. I felt so OK.”
Of course, it was the notices that Jolie received for her portrayals of those “bad” girls that allowed her to even consider taking on the cartoonishly goody-goody Lara Croft. “You never know if you’ll be able to return to dramatic acting if you do something like that,” says Jolie. “Because Lara Croft is such a … character. She’s probably the hardest role I’ve ever played. I sometimes think almost anybody could go into the quiet madness of the mind. But not everybody can stand front and center and go, ‘Hi!’ It was harder for me to be her than to be Lisa, because Lisa felt much more comfortable. Lara’s so positive and alert all the ******* time.”
When I compliment Jolie on her very believable English accent in the film and tell her that she reminded me of Jacqueline Bisset, she looks stunned. “Are you kidding?” She leans across the table. “You’re serious?” I am serious, I say. Turns out Bisset is her godmother. “I don’t mind the comparison,” says Jolie. “Jackie’s somebody who’s comfortable with her sexuality, but there’s not a lot of effort that goes into it. She’s a strong yet not simple woman. And also not a modern angry woman. I read the first draft of Tomb Raider, and Lara Croft was always kicking somebody in the nuts, and they were always making a point that she was a girl, and there was always something about how stupid men are, and I hated that. I, along with the director, removed it all. That wasn’t the point.”
Her instincts served her well. Tomb Raider grossed more than $270 million worldwide and turned Jolie into a bankable star. It comes as no surprise that a sequel is in the works. “It will be interesting to step back into it,” she says. Her favorite thing about being Lara Croft? Having kids approach her, “which is really, really nice. A lot of kids ask me about other countries. I get letters from, like, societies of archaeologists.”
For someone so strongly identified with the characters she has played—both in her own mind and in the eyes of her fans—Jolie has a surprisingly noncommittal relationship to her self-presentation. “Actors, by their nature, live through other characters,” she says. “But their sense of themselves? Their confidence as them? They’re the last people on Earth to be clear about that.”
On the first day that we met she was dressed in black jeans, black motorcycle boots, and a plain black jacket. She appeared to be wearing very little, if any, makeup. The vial of blood was on the inside of her shirt. On the second day, she was wearing a slightly revved-up version of the same outfit, but with pointy, spiked black boots and obvious makeup, vial of blood in plain sight. “I always wear a little makeup,” she says. “Well, not always. When I’m tan, especially, I go natural. The only makeup I always wear—and this is going to sound funny, but my lips on their own are bright red, which I hate—is gray lipstick.” She digs into her bag and pulls out a tube of M.A.C. lipstick; it is, indeed, the color of a dead person.
I bet you hated your lips when you were young, I say. “I went through a weird period where I would see these fine-featured women, and I liked that,” she says. “We always want what we can’t have. I’ve always thought that I was too angular. I don’t think of myself as voluptuous or even feminine. In a perfect world I would walk around with no shirt, in leather pants and boots and not think twice about it and never comb my hair and be covered in tattoos and just be thrilled.”
Do you have favorite designers? “No,” she says, laughing, “which is probably why I have what are considered fashion accidents. That Oscar night I was just thinking, My hair’s black, so I’ll get a black dress that fits! It was the only dress I saw. And then you kind of go, ‘Oh, my god, people react to things. Do I have to think about this?’ ”
Designers will be happy to think about it for you, I say. “Apparently they think I like to wear black leather,” she says. “Once, at a photo shoot for something, my clothes got mixed up with another actress’s; basically, I got her box of flowered dresses and she got a box of dog collars and black leather pants. And I thought, I’ve got to be somewhere in the middle! Mind you, I’d rather have the box of black leather.”
There’s a boy in you somewhere trying to get out, I say. “Oh, very much,” she says. “I think I’d make a good boy. I think I went through a period where I was denying anything feminine about myself. And it took me a while, until I met Billy, to actually feel like a girl. I was almost shocked into being a girl.”
One afternoon in late January my phone rings, and it’s Thornton calling from a car in Montreal. He’s on his way to the set of Levity, a film he’s shooting there costarring Morgan Freeman. “Angie and I have worked it out so that we don’t have to be apart anymore,” he says. “There are so many ways we can work together. We’ve just got all kinds of plans for the future, and a lot of it has nothing to do with movies, and I think that’s also our salvation. We’re not hooked on it.”
Back in December, when Jolie and I are in her hotel suite, which is filled with antique reproductions, she mentions that Thornton will be arriving in two days. Jolie is worried. “Billy has an antiques problem,” she says to me as she looks around the room at the furniture. “He has a thing about certain kinds of antiques—doesn’t feel comfortable around them, can’t eat around them. I know it sounds silly, but it’s a real thing. I think they remind him of things that are sad. I don’t think even he can explain it.”
There’s no denying that Jolie and Thornton are a bit odd. They both seem to be experiencing life as perpetual adolescence, with the kind of do-or-die intensity that teenagers wear like a badge of honor. It’s a way of seeing the world with very little perspective, as if everything that is happening to them has never happened to anyone before. To be fair, many actors exhibit this trait; but what is so refreshing about Jolie and Thornton is that it feels sincere.
When I ask Thornton about the disconnect between the media and the actual Jolie—the Angelina-Angie conundrum—he says, “What I always saw is that she’s a sweet, vulnerable girl who was instantly my friend. People say, ‘What’s it like to be married to Angelina?’ And I go, ‘Oh, you mean Angie? She’s a stuffed animal.’ In the beginning, we probably played up the edgier sides of ourselves because that seemed to be the only thing people were interested in. It’s almost like being in high school in the beginning of this business when you’re trying to find your place. You don’t want to talk about your home life and that kind of thing if you don’t have one—if you truly don’t have it in your heart. And then when you do, it’s easier to say, ‘Look, here’s who I really am.’ ”
There’s a song on Thornton’s 2001 album, Private Radio, called “Angelina.” In the liner notes he explains that the song is the “story of how I met the Love of my Life. Without her I wouldn’t exist.” It opens with this lyric: “I walked into an elevator / And you walked into a wall / You said you wanted to be with me / I never dreamed I’d have it all / But something changed that day inside me / And I believe it changed inside you, too.”
Jolie and Thornton have shared the same manager, Geyer Kosinski, for years and had heard about each other and been in the same room, but their eyes didn’t meet until they were cast together in Pushing Tin in 1998. Says Jolie, “I would always hear, ‘Billy Bob’s doing this and that, and you two are driving me crazy.’ ” Says Thornton, “Geyer said to me a long time ago, ‘There’s this girl, and she’s kind of like you as an actor. She’s the female you. I’m afraid to introduce you because I’m afraid you’ll get married.’ ” Finally, one day, on the set, they met. Jolie was getting off an elevator and Thornton was getting on. They stopped, shook hands, said hello, and then Jolie turned around and walked face first into a wall. They’ve been together ever since.
Thornton has been married four times before and with his second wife has two boys, seven and eight, with whom he is very close. “Anytime we’re not working we want to be in L.A. so we can see them on weekends,” says Jolie. “They’re wonderful, wild boys.” Thornton thinks his children have changed Jolie. “She’s just a delight around them, and I think they’ve given her so much. I think they’ve really brightened her whole world up.” Jolie says she’s wanted to adopt children since she herself was a kid. “My mom will tell you this,” she says. “I’ve been talking about it ever since I can remember, since I was, like, twelve years old.” I had heard a rumor that the couple is adopting a child from Cambodia, where they have set up a foundation to help build schools in the war-torn country.
When I ask Jolie about it, she smiles coyly and then denies it. Finally, she says, “I plan to adopt.” When I ask if she thinks she’ll ever give birth to her own children, she says, “I don’t have strong feelings about it, but I’m drawn to kids that are already born. I think some people are meant to do certain things, and I believe I’m meant to find my children in the world somewhere and not necessarily have them genetically. It’s just a different calling.”
Clearly, Jolie has thought hard about becoming a mother. “I think it’s a big thing to admit that you’re good enough to be a parent. It’s the most important thing you could be.” But despite the fact that Jolie knows that she is “a pretty decent, pretty centered” person, she can’t quite shake the feeling that she might be mocked for her decision. “If you have tattoos and opinions about things and you act in very free ways, then you aren’t considered a person who would be a wife and a mother,” she says. “They write about me as if I’m unattached to anything. Why is it so funny to everybody that I could be a mother? But it’s the same with our marriage. Why is it nobody wants to hear about the fact that we have a strong marriage? Why is it everybody would rather talk about how ******* kooky we are? It’s the same as the way people can’t imagine that gay people could possibly be traditionally in love. Why can’t they be? And why can’t we be?”
One day in Montreal, Jolie tells me a story about how Time magazine wrote about her journey to Africa as Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR. She told the reporter about how she walked into a room in Sierra Leone filled with babies born to women who had been raped. The babies, who were lying on the floor, had never seen a white person before, and they all started crying. “They wanted to calm the kids and let me sit there, and I just couldn’t,” says Jolie. “I left the room and said, ‘I’m sorry. I can’t.’ But somebody wrote something like, ’she went into a room, and babies started crying, probably because she wears blood around her neck.’ ” She pauses for a moment. “God, laugh about me. Whatever. But I’m trying. It was very hurtful. And I actually thought, Maybe I shouldn’t be doing this. Maybe if I’m involved in it, it’s not going to be taken seriously as an issue. That had me for two days like … . ” She caves in her shoulders and squeezes her eyes closed.
Clearly, the UN is not worried. I called the office of the High Commissioner, Ruud Lubbers, in Geneva to ask about Jolie’s work with the organization, and he sent me a rather officious statement that included the following: “Last year [2001], Ms. Jolie traveled to refugee camps in several countries, working with UNHCR field staff in Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, and Pakistan. During these often arduous field missions, she shared the conditions of fellow UNHCR staffers, bumping along for hours over bad roads in jeeps, sleeping on floors, observing minefield detonation exercises, visiting schools and hospitals, sharing meals with families in homes they had returned to after long years in exile. … She is active on many fronts, inspiring us with her courage and her commitment to refugees.”
In a way, her relationship with UNHCR actually began three years ago, when she read about an organization like it in an early draft of the Beyond Borders script. Not long after, she wound up in London for several months working on Tomb Raider, and she began to follow the news of what was happening with refugees in Sierra Leone. When the Tomb Raider production moved to Cambodia, she was further enlightened about the plight of displaced people. “I had always been interested in the UN and what they represent, so I got a book, and I opened to this page, and it said, ‘UNHCR, today dealing with over 20 million [displaced] people. …’ And I thought, How the **** is that possible? So I called them in Washington.”
In a strange art-imitates-life-imitates-art moment, Jolie now finds herself in the awkward position of acting out something on-camera that she’s actually been living for the past year and half. One day on the phone in January she says to me, “I had to give a UNHCR speech yesterday,” and it takes me a second to figure out that she means for the film. “Doing a film about something that has become real to you feels kind of backward,” she says, “and yet it feels like the best way to communicate a lot of things that I’ve come to understand.”
In December, just before I met up with Jolie, it was reported in Us Weekly that, besides traveling to several troubled nations, she donated $1 million to Afghan refugees. “Anyone who’s identified with me by feeling alone or a bit crazy should know that I’ve figured it out,” she told the magazine. “Get outside yourself. Get outside your environment. Do something for other people.”
When I read this quote back to her she says, “It’s true. It’s done more for me than I think I could ever do for them—though I hope to do more for them.”
This month, Jolie stars in her first comedy—Life or Something Like It, directed by Stephen Herek (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Rock Star). She plays a very ambitious young woman named Lanie who works as a television reporter in Seattle but dreams of making it in New York. Katie Couric is her idol. The conceit of the film is that Lanie thinks that she’s going to die in a week and is forced to wrestle with her screwed-up priorities. Jolie took the part for three reasons: 1) She “loved the message” 2) Everybody always told her she couldn’t do a comedy 3) “Because Lanie’s everything that I hate. “She’s very false in many ways,” says Jolie. “But when things go wrong, instead of retreating, she just gets more determined in the gym, more flamboyant and a little more like, ‘**** all this ****! I’m fabulous!’ But her life is a wreck. She’s rude, condescending, and awful. Hopefully you’ll love to hate her.”
So, is Angelina funny?
“She is funny,” says Herek. “Doing a movie like this is a little bit out of her skin. But she’s actually funny in a very different way than you might expect.” Because Jolie has a tendency to take on the coloration of her characters, during the shoot she herself “became this blonde, bumbling, tripping-over-things moron. I had these long nails on, and I couldn’t zip my pants and couldn’t wash my hair.” She laughs. “I was dialing phones with a pen.”
Angelina Jolie is only 26 years old, and yet she has already brought to the screen two unforgettable, award-winning characters—Gia and Lisa. Part of the reason those women seem so real has a lot to do with the fact that they were very real to Jolie; there is a big part of her that is Gia and Lisa. With most dramatic actresses there is a clear separation between “craft” and real life. With Jolie, the lines are blurred. It is this aspect of her personality, perhaps, that makes people so uncomfortable. Now Jolie has found two new women to inhabit—Lanie and Sarah—and they, too, have become a part of Jolie. They’re both women who are shedding old skins—and finding out there’s more to life than being rich or pretty or famous.
When I ask Jolie if she has any regrets about her past, she doesn’t hesitate: “No. I personally can’t afford regret or else I would be more careful about my life. I really don’t have a time where I’ve thought, Oh, I wish I could go back and turn it around. But I have had times in my life where I think, God, that’s ******* scary. Thank god I lived through that. I’ve actually gotten bolder as I’ve gotten older because I’m just more focused. Now, at least, I know why I’m risking my life. I have a purpose. Do something. Get ******* angry about something you believe in and fight for it. How great is that? And if that’s wrong, and really the idea is to kind of adjust and go with the masses, then I don’t know how to do that.” She smiles her ornery smile and says, “To do something good, it has to scare you.”

Corrections on earlier post. Plus it gives Just Jared another hit.
Thanks Just Jared for the new thread. AJ looks great. I hope that they do close down Female First. That site has bred enough haters for a lifetime. They have festered and stewed in their hate long enough. Best Wishes to BAMZS. I am looking forward to the new Vogue layout. I am not much into fashion magazines, preferring the Home and Garden types. However, I will pick up this magazine as I am a fan of BP/AJ.
I am glad to see the regulars still posting. You are going to be needed, if they do close down the BP/AJ thread at Female First. I am sure that this is a cruel joke. However, it is always a fun thrill ride at Just Jared when any thread of BAMZS first appears. So Ladies and gents get your witty comebacks ready.

Hey there….where have you been? We missed you lots. About FF, I’m not sure if it’s the site or just posts that have to do with BP and AJ

Hay AG! I just been busy with work, kids, hubby and art. Alot going on. I am going to be gone for 4 days next week out of town to a boring-ass seminar, so I won’t be around. I know you guys will hold down the fort. I’ll have a ton of reading to do when I get back! LOL!
Hi all!!
omg thanks j@red for this new thread :-) I can’t wait to buy my first Vogue ever!!
I forgot to say that I simply adore the pictures!!
Thanks Jared and Audrey!

Hey Angelah, me too :)
Come on, you guys, the demented, inbred heifers of FF are no
match for us. You’ve all seen how haters can get pulverized here
in short order. If this is really true (remains to be seen), they’ll
pollute us for awhile, but what they really want is some airless
nook in cyberspace where they can spin their insane fantasies.
And if they still want to leave their droppings here, JJ’s gentle but
firm hand will deal with it.
Me too. I’ll be buying this issue of Vogue. I hope those photos of her in the new Vogue will be a knock-out.
***Didn’t you notice Angelina is good in posing. I guess she did some modelling when she was younger. Not like some sitcom hag who cannot pose properly & looked like a hunchback at one GC cover.***
Thanks for the new thread Jared. great pics of Ange, as always.
69 | Bdj | Hey there I loved your last sentence.
“So Ladies and gents get your witty comebacks ready. ”
I thought for a second I was at Indie 500 “ladies and gentlemen get your engines ready”
Anyhoo, after a year and half of dealing with these ding-dongs, this will be a piece of cake :)
74 | kidi |-They are starting a new forum so they can continue to spew poison. And I hope they will stick their bloody arses there and eave us alone. But if they come here I’m sure we can handle them. Were is PT when and Clin when you need them??
I believe Angelina is a beautiful person, and no one can take that away from her. However, she looks a little malnourished in these pictures and pale. Never the less, she is a pretty woman
80 | sherilyn | Thanks for that, we really appreciate it
68 — thanks for posting that! preconceived notions these days..tsk tsk
Great photos Jared but these photos are from the old Vogue issue. Can’t wait to get the new issue.
76 | foodie - I agree, she is a very beautiful woman and I can’t wait for the new Vogue and the new Angie. I wouldn’t think BP sat in on any of JA’s shoots. I never saw or read anything of that nature. Brad and Angie have a very special relationship that neither had before. They definitely enjoy being and doing things together.
That interview blew my mind. This woman is so amazing. I hope history treats her well. She’s so refreshing and real in a way that most people will never be.
BTW… thanks to whoever posted the link to youtube on the AJ Sunglasses thread. There are some great movies for BP and AJ. This may have been posted already, but the song is just so pretty:

79 | think positive! | - Hey TP, PT may not be able to post this afternoon/night, because she has something to do, but she wants her fans to know that she is not quitting JJ :)
Jolie, a pilot, suggested shooting on an old airfield near the desert, with motorcycles and small planes among the props
Love Angie & Brad and used to share threads with friends. Can someone tell me how to do it now? Thanks!
Love Angie & Brad and used to email threads to friends. Can someone tell me how to do it now? Thanks!
Thanks — JJ for these nice pics of AJ.

She did some modelling when she was a teenager. Not sure if she did some runway walks.
I noticed too , she has a model’s perfect facial expressions ( brooding, pouty) in her ST. JOHN’s spread. Too bad , her haters thinks she is that way in person. ..
This new photo shoot will probably be different from the 1st one. Maybe a little less on the sexy
side but more on the mature/ career looks.
Will wait and see….
Gitane? where are you? so are you going to subscribe back to Vogue? gosh I’m still lol about your little incident about that cover.. :-x
88 | Alexanderina | -That sucks! LOL!

CAN’T WAIT!!!
Re interviews, i really hope they dont bring up the blood viels, kissing her brother, her mom and dad divorcing etc. everyone already knows this, each interviewer doesn’t have to talk about it. Just talk about her present life, she is not her past anymore. not that u forget it, u just move on
OMG that’s good news….thanks jared.
cant wait to buy that mag…
as for FF good thing it’ll be closed down.guys dont worry about the haters, we know in our heart who & what angie really is!

92 | freidaflo | - I have feeling her next spread will be very similar to those that Brad did for Esquire as they were shot in the desert, I believe. There may be a few exotic shots.

Thanks for posting the interview. I can’t WAIT for her VOGUE/COVER/INTERVIEW!
She is an amazing woman! ROCK THE **** ON, ANGIE!
16 | CLINIQUA - utterly gorgeousity!
#103 CCCC,I dissagree, they had 50 people working the set and racks of clothes from New Yorks Spring collections to be tried on and styled.Angelina’s last Vogue cover was March of 2004 and she was dressed very well in the photo shoot. Why would Leibovitz take some stale ass pictures when Angelina photographs beautifully. Also note she said Angelina was feeling sexy, trust me Leibovitz will work with it.
She looks creepy…honestly.
94 | think positive! | - I agree, she sure is :)
107 | jughead | Thanks for that, we really appreciate it

Thanks JJ! Yay for Angelina! This is most likely for the December issue (for The Good Shepard promotion) which is a big holiday one. I hope it’s a very creative editorial and informative interview.
As far as the photos being old, many people have not seen all of thousands of photos Angelina has taken. If you’ve never seen them, it’s new. LOL!!! (((JJ)) you posted photos from that issue but forgot the cover shot!

Here’s the last issue cover she did for Vogue. I think she was promoting Alexander:

I hope they will include an interview and maybe insert some pictures of the kids. Wouldn’t that be a treat…
Thanks Frenchy for the links!! :-) Beautiful..
I would love to see Brad take a photo with Angie but is the Photoshoot with Annie an Angelina Jolie one or is Angie one of many?
111 | Frenchy | Do u have the pics from ‘04 shoot
Has Annie ever shot Brad?
106 | The real lou - I guess I didn’t explain myself clearly. I don’t believe the pictures will be as revealing as those on JJ today… she will still be very sexy and beautiful but will project a different Angie… more of an athletic, exotic flavour to the photos because they were shot near an airstrip and in the dunes surrounded by airplanes, motorcycles, etc.
111 | Frenchy | - Thanks Frenchy for the link :)
I dunno. But brad posed for Vogue (’97)
Oh My Goodness!!! This woman should be outlawed!!!!! She’s GORGEOUS!!!
113 | freidaflo - Freidaflo, I hope they have an interview. It would nice to see what Angie has to say about life and her upcoming projects. Actually, the magazine will probably come out in time for TGS Premiere. Like you, I would love to see some pix of the kids as well. It would indeed be quite a treat.

Later he adds, “I believed” Hmmm

I beieved I was wrong?
Brad was present at both the shoots for the ads shot in Paris for StJohns and Shisedo. They just do not spend much time apart (so Brad has a plane now?), and seem very involved in each other’s professional lives as well as their private life together. An example of that is the formation of the Jolie-Pitt foundation to fund their interests, and Brad producing AMH with Angelina starring in it in India. They get to combine work with their love of travel. The little Jolie-Pitts passports will make interesting geographical reading material for Mad, Z, and Shiloh when they are older. LOL. Read a couple of the tabs today at the grocery store, and now, based on the pixs of Angie and Brad at the art exhibition, no break up forecast, just a loving couple (except US used pixs to say that Brad now dominates Angie). Well they can’t let a week go by without some mention of their bread and butter couple!

CCCC: Hey Girl. I posted alot on Friday before I left the office, but this week-end has been rushed. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some posts in tomorrow after AM meetings. Niece is out with sister, so I was able to get these bits in before I go to bed. I love that Brad showed up for her shoots — may can’t let that chick off on her own — LOVE IT!!! They are so into each other. Love these two together. Gee, didn’t read all the posts tonight — will try and catch up tomorrow. Have any slugs posted yet? I sure hope they’re all in their caves for now. Tomorrow will be another day, I’m sure. Listen, I better stop reading, as I’ll never get my head on pillow. You stay well. Talk at ya tomorrow.
I wonder if Brad has his OWN plane, or was he using the one, he always used for his flight lessons. JMO, If he has his own plane, don’t you think, we would of have read it by now? Food for thought………
Frenchy, thanks for the link.
Thanks JJ for the new thread… can’t wait for the vogue issue… that will probably then only Brangelina burst we have for a a while since they’re going to be in India for a month starting October
141 | maria - lol! They are so much in love… and don’t want to spend too much time apart. Who knows, may be they had a secret rendezvous after the shoot… time alone in the dunes. Then the lovebirds buzzed back, flying in different lanes and waving at each other back to LA.
Have a good night Maria.
Here is part of Brad’s 1998 VF interview after his split from GP ( I believed)
It’s hard, then, to escape the impression that Pitt, for all his glorious sex appeal, is essentially a domestic guy. “Homesteader is the word for it,” said Feldsher. He’s fun-loving, to be sure, “the king of of flatulence,” said Aidan Quinn. But he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to throw a girl over lightly.
“When he’s in a ‘relationship’ relationship, he’s very committed,” said Feldsher. “And he believes deeply in the joy and singular possibilities that can come out of sharing your life with someone.”
Pitt told me as much himself when our subject inevitably shifted to love and marriage. “It’s fantastic,” he said. “What’s a bigger high? Spending your life with another - I feel I’d be quite good at it. If I find it, I find it. If I don’t, I don’t. But I think with another person in your life you have the opportunity to get further, to grow more.”
So I wondered about his breakup with Paltrow. They had seemed so devoted - “madly in love” wouldn’t be an exaggeration. Paltrow, 25, is the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and the producer Bruce Paltrow. she spent her teenage years in Manhattan, in an East Side town house, and went to Spence, the exclusive girls’ school. When I interviewed her last summer she seemed sophisticated and bright, and may be a little hard on people - not mean, just competitive in the way of popular, pretty girls.
I told Pitt I had talked to Paltrow.
“Oh really?” he said, looking surprised. I was about to continue, but Pitt cut me off. “I don’t want to know what she said.”
There are alot of rumors going around Los Angeles and New York about what happened, some of them suggesting that Paltrow may have wavered in her commitment, and that is was Pitt who called off the engagement. “Obviously there’s curiosity about [the breakup], because there wasn’t alot said about it,” said Keener, keeping tight-lipped. “Everyone only has a piece of the puzzle except the two of them.”
“So what happened?” I asked Pitt.
“Well, I mean, you know what happened,” he said mildly.
“But why?”
He laughed. “Ahh, no.” then he said, “Isn’t it true of a lot of people? Since you started dating, there’s always been that period until you find the one you want to go the distance with?”
“But you thought you had found the one.”
He looked away. “But I was wrong. You figure it out.”
Feldsher told me, “I thank God for his relationship with Gwyneth. I think it was a great thing. First of all, they were really happy for a long time. Gwyneth is much more savvy than Brad about the business, having grown up with her mom, Blythe, and her dad, Bruce, in the Hollywood milieu. She was very helpful to Brad in that way. And when the relationship ended, O.K., maybe it was painful and they both found out it wasn’t for them, but he’s certainly much better for it, and I hope she is as well.
“I think she taught Brad a lot about existing in the klieg lights, and I think he has taught her a lot about it being O.K. to live out of them - that doesn’t mean you don’t exist…..Brad is incredibly sophisticated in the truest sense of the word, but in terms of the language of sophistication, Gwyneth’s got that down…..She’s very familiar with the topography of a sophisticated international life. And Pitt’s not. So in sound bites, she’s able to convey that.”
Pitt didn’t appear to be in a hurry to change the subject and said “Listen, there are painkillers for this and bandaids for that, but the bottom line is there are tough times and good times. One of the scenes I love in Meet Joe Black is when my character says, ‘You do the best you can, and if your lucky, you take some perfect pictures with you.’ And I wouldn’t trade any of the rotten times. They’re vital to defining who you are, what you want, how you want to live - all those grand little topics.”
I asked him if he thought he had rushed into his engagement to Paltrow.
He smiled at my persistance. “No,” he said emphatically. “I believed.”
“Have you talked to her since?”
He laughed. “It’s done.”
For the past several months, Pitt has been going out with Jennifer Aniston. “Oh God, I don’t know,” he said when I mentioned her. “I have no idea what to tell you. No idea.” He wrapped his arms around his chest and looked at me sweetly, but said no more. People who know Aniston describe her as warm, down-to-earth, uncomplicated - “an angel.”
“I think Pitt will always believe he’s compromising as long as he’s just acting.” Feldsher told me a few weeks after I’d left L.A. And it is probable that Brad Pitt himself, now in his middle 30s, does not think he has come close to giving audiences all that they want from him. As Pakula succinctly remarked, “There’s something about Brad that still seems like it’s being formed.”
But that evening, as nearly as could be made out from his voice, Brad Pitt’s big, idealistic heart was at peace. With his arms still wrapped around him, he said, “I’m not in a hurry. Listen, if it’s not right, I don’t want it. I’m telling you straight: it’s a damned good time of my life.”
145 | CCCC | Someone needs to do a ff about this

————————————————–
Hey Esther, you got yourself a deal
Angelina never disappoint, with her magazine interviews or photoshoots, so we are definately in for a treat. Maybe Brad can make an appearance.
When Angelina was married to Johnnie and Billy Bob, she did photoshoots with them in some very steamy pics.
*********LAWD HAMMERSY!*********
A big you’re welcom to those who thanked me for the Vogue link. For the Alexander shoot, souliejolie can help you out. If I have time I’ll post them a bit later.
Check this out, there is an online petition regarding Angelina in Atlas Shrugged. What turnip truck did these people fall from?:
To: All Involved in the Production of the Film “Atlas Shrugged”
We, the potential audiences of the scheduled movie “Atlas Shrugged”, request that the producing studio(s), and any other entities participating, use care and caution during the production of the aforementioned project. The book, written by Ayn Rand, is an important work of literary art, a bold representation of an ideology, and is a beaming icon of modern intellectualism.
Any negligence during any portion of the development of this film (including pre-production and post-production) may be taken as a profane desecration and we request that any possible negligence be avoided. We request that the development and final product stay loyal to the philosophies outlined within the original book and that these philosophies are correctly represented through film in such a way that respects the integrity of Ayn Rand and her literary work.
As of the authoring of this petition, Angelina Jolie has been chosen as the lead role of Miss Dagny Taggart and this choice has raised eyebrows due to the contrast between Rand’s philosophies (as represented through the character of Dagny Taggart) and the publicized actions and efforts of Miss Jolie. Though Miss Jolie has voiced her admiration for Ayn Rand, we have made notice that certain parts of Miss Jolie’s lifestyle seem to contradict this supposed admiration. While these observations do not necessarily mean that Miss Jolie will not performs her part well, it should be noted that these observations do make some of us skeptical about the integrity of this film project.
In addition, the possible decision of casting a supposed couple as two leading characters within a film project that requires a long production schedule has also made some skeptical as to the artistic intentions of those cast members and the individuals deciding to cast them. We believe that merit and integrity should be considered during any decision to cast certain actors or actresses as characters within the film project in order to ensure a respectable final product.
In short, we request that all parts of the development of the film “Atlas Shrugged” be taken seriously so as to guarantee the best final product possible. Finally, we wish all of those involved in the production the best of luck in hopes that the project goes smoothely and without a hitch.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
LOVE U JARED & AUDREY. YOU’VE BEEN SO KIND TO US BAMZS FANS. I HOPE YOU WON’T CHANGE.
GOOD MORNING/EVENING BAMZSers
OMG…I didn’t know that all pics above shot by Annie Leibovitz before! They are my favorite pics of Angie…GOD I’m so excited!!!
Can’t wait to see the new pics (and interview…fingers cross) !
BTW (GOOD) OT :
Madonna and Guy Ritchie are set to adopt a set of twins from an African orphanage next month. They are flying to Malawi to pick up twins or two regular siblings. They haven’t decided yet.
A source said: “Originally Madonna and Guy planned to adopt only one child. But when they were told that might mean breaking up a family unit they immediately said they would take siblings or twins if that was the right thing to do.
“They want the children to be as young as possible but are prepared to take
kids up to the age of four. And they are also willing to consider a child with special needs arising
from being abandoned in an orphanage.”
Her spokeswhore has confirmed she will travel to Africa next month for six-weeks, but didn’t confirm whether or not she was picking up some kids.
Hi ladies and gents,
I have a HUGE favor to ask of my BAMZS cyber-friends. As you all know, some really evil and unacceptable things were said about our good friend Elena’s tragedy, I got a few hits as well about my son but that is nothing compared to what Elena is going through, well….. If the rumor mill is correct we might have quite a few of these wonderful people around soon since they will be homeless. Can we PLEASE AGREE to completely ignore them, don’t even read it, go to the next BAMZS fans post and carry on. This will annoy the CRAP out of them. PLEASE :)
OK I think I begged enough and you guys are ready with the rotten tomatoes :)
Maria, how are you? Sure missed chatting with you, tomorrow…
146 | QQQQ
That part about Paltrow was funny. She always portrays herself as this little girl that got lost in Brad Pitt’s fan. Here they say she knew more about fame than Brad. I doubt that. Blyth Danner is a star but she is not a star on the level of Brad Pitt. I think he learned something from her but I dont think they have it quit right in terms of how much he learned from her.
151 | Frenchy
What is that? I dont understand the problem these people have. Havent they ever heard of someone admiring a person or their work? Why do they think its going to be totally against what Rand stood for? And why if it is it Angie’s fault? Did she write the script? Have they even tried talking to Angelina? That’s strange.
Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie forum on FemaleFirst will be closed down beginning Monday.

151 | Frenchy
What is it?
Where does it come from?
I’m afraid if we give it importance, it will hit the internet and put **** again ;
Only because Angelina is playing in it, it is a big deal
i’m suspicious
thx , but hope the gossips blogs will not make their headlines with it;
159 | Alexanderina
I was like WTF? as well. I didn’t want to put the link for obvious reasons but it is a legit online petition. Maybe we should petition the petitioners. LOL!!!!
There are some really geeky people out there with too much time on their lonely hands lol! It made no sense the first time I read it and it still doesnt make any sense. Its strange. What does her personal life have to do with this? I read Rand and its not that big of a deal. I mean really its a book. These people are freaks!
FLAWLESS! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. J’ADORE ANGELINA JOLIE.
I love that fact that the petition wasn’t signed. WTF? I wonder if these people have ever read ONE word of ATLAS SHRUGGED.
Have a good evening ladies. I’m sure the next couple of days are going to be REAL interesting, in Jared’s neighborhood. I’m out.
Oh, I wonder if BAMZS has left for India yet. Should be any day now.
160 | Frenchy | - They are only doing this petition because Angie is in the movie, if it was another actress there would not have been a petition
Guli, you have my word.
156 | Jenny89 | I read it and i thought what other actress’ personal life is the same as Rand’s philosophy. i think they are just objecting because it’s Angie

Hello ladies when I read that I started laughing my ass off. Only a few hours ago at the other thread I said HUVANE only has probably one more rabbit to pull out of his hat, but he probably is running out of options. IMHO this has Huvane written all over it :)
JJOY: Thank you for the email… if you have some more of those, pls. send them over. I’m having a withdrawal. Wish Estelle would so kindly send her latest update also.
Guli - AGREED!
151 | Frenchy | 09/24/06 10:52 PM
I think the petitioners (proponents of Objectivism) don’t really want Atlas Shrugged to be made into a movie. I am not an intellectual but I could never understand why they’re against it and against the casting when Rand’s ideas and philosophy is all about individualism. Karen Baldwin (the producers) et al have all the rights (property rights to the movie and the right to profit in the spirit of “laizzie faire”) -
My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.
— Ayn Rand, Appendix to Atlas Shrugged
They’re worried that HW might butcher the book and her ideas. Some complained about Brad and Angie being big into altruism and their philanthropic activities might not really put across Rand’s philosophy in a convincing manner. Some say Angie is too sexy for the role and too beautiful to play Dagny…..
#151 Frenchy,I really wouldn’t be getting worked up over this petition,it’s a bunch of crap. This is a passive-aggressive masterpiece.Angelina’s making a movie, not running for president. If getting a movie role was determined on having a perfect past most of Hollywood wold be out of a job.
165 | Alexanderina
Of course, that’s the only reason. Thank goodness this film doesn’t even start shooting until the middle of 2007 and released in 2008!
I’m about to hit the sack. I read about the FF shutting down. Awwwww! Fcuk em! JJ you better but some kind of monitoring sysem in place especially if you are putting up new pictures. I’m about to hit the sack. But in searching for the Vogue photos I came across rare photos of Angelina when she has a tan or a self tanner LOL. Too cool. Tanned, she still looks better that you know who. Good Night:

#173 guli
I know, guli :) This blog is my BAMZS source since..well, my old one was…they didn’t like me much lol But here, everyone is great,
Er, how about a source frenchy?? There are some of us who would be interested in retaliating, but when people post things with no source - there’s no way we can do this. I’d liek to know where this originated and where it’s going? As Angelina fans it’s imperative that when we post this stuff that is designed to throw a wrench in her film roles etc., that we can have an equally strong voice supporting her….
Again, a source (link?) — if you have it.
170 | Tijen | Hey Tijen how are you? I just want JJ’s back to the old days when we used to have a BLAST:lol: and I know we can do it if we aren’t side-tracked by these idiots….
Okay - I am almost ready to give up on these boards…I go from waiting 20 minutes for my posts to appear, to having them not appear at all, to then having them appear but with this caveat at the top of my post inserted: “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” But then alternately, I can post one after the other sometimes successively with no glitches at all - only to be stopped in the midst, once again with a “Your comment is awaiting moderation.”
Can someone here please explain what is going on — I’m coming to the conclusion that this might be a sign I spend way too much time here - and is designed to just frustrate me into leaving. There’s nothing like writing 3 or 4 posts — using up time in your day on the PC, and then having all your writing and thoughts for naught, and never appear — or appear, but only after having been “moderated” which could take 30 minutes or more.
Nah.
Not for me. I’m way to impatient.
176 | CLINIQUA | 09/24/06 11:34 PM
I’m not Frenchy but its a legit petition from posters (I’m not sure if its IMDB) who have Objectivism advocates. I think its a good idea not to post the link also since we shouldn’t give this people that much leverage….but to be fair there also those who are slowly coming around….some who are objective enough to see Angie in Inside the studio and watch her films with her great performances…..
178 | CLINIQUA
that’s what happens to me when I try to post links.. bb
Hey Guli! I hoping that the news of FF Brad&Angie forum closing down is true. As we all know, that site feed into a lot of the hatred out there. So, if and when they come over here. I, for one, do not want to pay them any attention.
I had tea with some of the Turkish ladies here in Portland, and so many are Brad/Angie fans.
Hello everybody~It seems to me,the more the haters hate B/A. The more they are blessed. That Petition bullshit is just that BULLSHIT. I hope that I am never, ever consumed with that kind of envy and hate. I can’believe that someone took the time to write a dumbass futile petition and pretend that they are so concerned about the integrity of the story. Angie is a Actress. She portray Characters. She will give this story and role one hundred percent.
Peace~
Damn Maylaya, did you write the petition. Thanks for explaining it to us.
Again….Link? Link to wherever the petition came from? Also known as ’source.’ Thanks.

–Pitt says “I was wrong you figure it out”
–I asked him if he thought he had rushed into his engagement to Paltrow.

If you read it in context, I think he meant that he was wrong that she was the “one” for him, but at the time he believed she was the one so he proposed.

I agree Guli. IF the Fanistonatics come here, we MUST ignore them. Otherwise, this place will be destroyed.

189 | Just a suggestion
—————————–
Why do board admins or mods always suggest this to me, anytime I offer a productive critique of their boards or voice some dissatisfaction.
To my ear, it’s the equivalent of — ‘If you don’t like it, get out.’
I’m sorry I don’t have enough hours in my day to run a board, and post and write fics, and be a full time brangelina fan — lol.
But that doesn’t mean, I don’t get frustrated when I visit a board and am met with all kinds of crazy glitches which ultimately mean I’ve wasted the valued time I DO spend here, if none of what I write ever makes it to the board.
That doesn’t translate to me wanting to start my own board. It just means that maybe the board has gone wacko, and a lot of people might just throw up their hands and take a rest until things are uniform and in working order.
183 | Damn | 09/24/06 11:50 PM
No, I didn’t but I’ve come across it. That petition has no real legs because no matter what they do, ultimately its still the producers who have the final say. Angie was pretty much vocal about liking Ayn Rand’s works and she herself wanted to be true to what she wrote as much as possible. So is Brad. Probably one of the reasons why he dropped out of The Fountainhead because changes were made which he didn’t agree with and he has to guts to stand on what he believed in. Aronofsky didn’t (probably why he is still bitter up to this day and I say good for Brad and look at what BAD reviews it had). But if they cast him, then both will have to take a pay cut because budget is said to be only $40M.
184 | CLINIQUA | 09/24/06 11:51 PM
I’ll try to find it but it may take a while…by the time I found it somebody may already have posted it.
CLINIQUA~That’s really messed up. Don’t give up. If you leave, a lot of us will not like it.
Peace~
192 | CLINIQUA
I agree it is very frustrating to lose posts. You write very long, informative ones, too, so I can see how you would get upset. One thing I do now is just copy the text before I submit the comment. Then at least if it doesn’t go through all you have to do is just paste it back in and submit again. I’m not sure what is causing the time delay, though. But please don’t stop posting!
Nevermind, on ‘the link’ to the Rand petition.
Thanks malaya, but no thanks.
Here’s a tip — when we come across this kind of stuff, the BEST thing we can do as Angelina/Brangelina fans is not DO THE WORK FOR THESE anti-Angelina people, and DISPERSE this information. So please. NO LINK. Since a number of people have now weighed in to say, it’s small time, and not important, let’s not make it important or more widely known than it is, by posting BOOKS about it here on one of the most popular brangie board/threads ever??
It’s kind of like the people that tried to kick up ‘racial’ dust over AMH. Thankfully, most people let that lie, and it went nowhere.
Let’s do the same for this kind of crap. Since we know that people from rags and tabs (not to mention the dreaded ‘alledger’ and post chronicle)may read this site — it’s like we are DOING THEIR WORK FOR THEM.
So please, let’s not post this kind of crap anymore especially if no one else has picked it up.
Posting it here, may mean we inadvertently get it running on the newswires.
OKAY??
Thanks.

#185 Hey Malaya, I’m doing well. I hope you’re doing great too, hun.
Guli….ITA with your request about ignoring those ugly, hateful
posts, and have said this every time I post. I know that
sometimes it can be extremely difficult to ignore, but we really
need to try harder.
Thanks JJ for the new thread, absolutely cannot wait to get my
sweaty hands on this upcoming Vogue with the One and the
Only…Angie! BTW, so glad that she is not going with VF, after
that Leslie the ***** Bennets did that hatchet job on her last year
in her interview with the X. If she only knew that it was this same
piece that pushed me right into BP/AJ’s corner. I still get angry
when I think about how Angie’s UNHRC work was so belittled, and
denigrated, in that article, just to drive home her totally biased
point that Angie played a big part in the demise of the Golden
Couple.
I hope to see Brad and Angie on their motorbikes in the desert.
That would be so hot!
Her spokeswhore has confirmed she will travel to Africa next month for six-weeks, but didn’t confirm whether or not she was picking up some kids.

spokeswhore???? Um…was this intentional or just an error? lol.
=====================================
Also, refering to that letter that Frenchy posted:
Seriously WTF? When will people give up and move on. I so tired of it all. How can people hate for so long? What did Brad and Angelina do to these lunatics that they feel the need to be so bitchy and undermine everything these two do and misinterpret and mock every word they say. For how long?
I thought with time people would move on but to think there are that many people out there with mental problems who wish harm on a family they don’t know personally or somehow always deter their efforts, whether it may be their personal or professional life, is just ******* old and annoying as hell!!!
In July the producers went to the summer Seminar of the Atlas Soceity and spoke about their movie and about Angelina. So the producers most likely have knowlege of what people think and they hired Angelina for the role. So I would not worry about this peitition.
Here is the article from the society if interested:

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!
Eversince I discovered JJ’s site, I have learned the joys and tribulations of blogging. How a candid picture of Brad and Angie can trigger the positive as well as the negative. The audacity of somebody to spew vile insults against them and their supporters is inhuman. To guli, I admire you for not being disillusioned and having the grace to continue posting good thoughts about Brad and Angie. Sometimes, I feel disheartened if I read hateful comments but I try to put it in perspective. The choice is mine to give in to someone’s hate and hold on to my belief and that is the true beauty and wonder that Brad and Angie inspire in me - love, family and charity.

JJB is lurked by many tabloids bloggers ;
so next;
#207 guli, that is very true checking JJ’s site is like finding the pandora’s box everday-some days are tough to tread on the tragic hangups of some people from the past with real issues on relationships but overall, the wisdom among so many BAMZSers prevail notwithstanding the friendly camaraderie of so many.
Hey guys — I’d like to apologize…especially to JJ…I don’t know what it was…if it was that petition that set me off earlier, or if it’s that time of the month or what — but my nerves were on edge something fierce. LOL I’m over it. Thanks all, for your patience in dealing with me and my bad attitude. Going to get some much needed rest. Talk to you guys later! Again, my apologies JJ - thanks for all you do for us bamzs fans.

THAT’S ALRIGHT CLINIQUA…WE ARE JUST HUMAN…WE HAVE OUR UPS & DOWNS. I ALWAYS LOSE TEMPER WHEN I GET SO BEHIND AT WORK & COLLEAGUES ARE BUGGING ME & MY WORK IS SLOWED DOWN. THAT REALLY GET ME PISSED. BUT I LEARNED TO CONTROL IT JUST GET MY STRESS BALL & I DEAL WITH IT WITH GUSTO, LOL.

While that is a good suggestion, oftentimes, I’ve given up reposting the same thing over and over because it’s too frustrating and also you never know how many times it would show up once it does show up, if it shows up.

Cliniqua girl you are too funny! Actually she don’t look half bad

her personality. LOL!!
Guys, now I am back. Just been busy these past weeks. I do read some post but I never post. I missed so much. But right now I am getting plenty of time for myself. I heard that kidi’s asking about me. Well, kidi I am here, back in fine form. I did post once just after JJ site came back to normal. Well, I’l l be posting occasionally. I will never abandon JJ. He’s been a blessing for us fans. See ya later
I am not suprised about the petition. After all the Lord of the Rings had something similar happen to it and the fans were obsessed about making sure the casting was spot on. Peter Jackson was clear in saying that he paid attention to what they said.
Hello BAMZS fans. Like many of you, I have to buy Vogue when it comes out, and it also will be the very first Vogue I’ll buy.

She was a Hollywood wild child, a movie star who dated Brad Pitt for four years and ended up in rehab. Now, in her 30s, Juliette Lewis would rather make music than whoopee. She tells Chrissy Iley about her new band, life on the road and why she doesn’t like dating

Juliette Lewis answers the door of her temporary London apartment. Skinny white jeans, shiny red stilettoed ankle boots, mystic symbol jewellery, no makeup, no face surgery, and a rasping hello. Her West End play is just finishing and she is about to go on tour with her band, she says, by way of explanation for all the mess in the apartment. Shoes and CDs are everywhere. The Police’s Greatest Hits is playing; she seems unembarrassed.
Everything about Lewis, the Police CD aside, suggests dark, dangerous, dysfunctional, but then it’s hard to work out how much her iconic part in Natural Born Killers is to blame for that perception. People tend not to remember her sweet film What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, or the saccharine Evening Star. She says there is a huge difference between who people think she is and what she’s really like, but thinks that the two Juliettes might have merged recently. “Right now I’m a complete runaway train of non- conformity,” she says. “I like to joke, though, that I get younger as I get older.”

——————————————————————————–
Lewis turned 33 in June; it seems slightly surprising that she’s still so young, but then she started off in movies early. She was a sullen thumb-sucking teenager opposite De Niro in Cape Fear, and it not only got her an Oscar nomination but also launched her Hollywood career as the perpetually strange girl. She was always on the edge, never the love interest, never quite lovable. “And I had less of a sense of humour and more angst because I was a nonconformist,” she says. “When I was 19 I would do photo shoots and say, ‘OK I’m ready.’ “I wanted to take pictures like Brando and De Niro, black-and-white portraits, no makeup, just me in my jeans … and they’d have a rack of clothes and a makeup artist and I would be dumbfounded and say, ‘Why am I going to paint my face up? This isn’t me.’ That’s unheard of for a female so I’d end up just looking weird, and that
continued
shaped whatever public identity I had.”
Lewis talks with disarming intensity, which may be something to do with her being a Scientologist. All the Scientologists I’ve met are a bit like this: they look you in the eyes as if telling the truth is going to save them and you, and they are extremely well-mannered. One wonders what sort of intense epiphany made her chuck in a lucrative, if quirky, Hollywood career and turn rocker. She still intends to do some acting, but it’s her music that seems to most interest her now.
“It was a series of stages,” she says. “When I was a kid I was always musical and in acting I always used music to prepare for a part. I’d listen to [Pink Floyd's] Shine On You Crazy Diamond and immediately you just feel something, and I’d stretch and connect. For Natural Born Killers I listened to Jimi Hendrix’s Voodoo Chile because it’s all guitars, imminent danger and brewing chaos.”
She knew she could sing nicely and proved it when she sang on the soundtrack for The Other Sister, a film in which she played a girl with autism. Singing nicely, though, wasn’t enough for her. “In the last decade I have written songs with various friends of mine and I was always putting off the music thing, even though I knew I needed to express myself that way. I was putting it off out of fear. I had no balls yet. Until the desire became so huge it outweighed the fear. I’ve done movies for 15 years. There is a security in it … the trouble is, it was never fulfilling to me. Making movies can be really boring.”
She laughs and shrugs: “I have friends that live and breathe their parts but that was not me. It was not stimulating enough.”
She decided she had to put a band together in 2003. She called everyone she knew who might know somebody and got the help of Linda Perry, who was once a member of 4 Non Blondes and is now a major-league songwriter-producer. She calls her band Juliette Lewis and the Licks; and the Licks has a treble meaning, she says -licking like a cat, licking like a guitar or licking like a punch. Her band are all pedigree people with extensive experience in other bands: Todd Morse (guitars), Kemble Walters (lead guitars), Jason Womack (bass) and Ed Davies (drums).
Lewis’s first album, Like a Bolt of Lightning, was described in the Village Voice as “displaying all the front-bulge bravado of her ****-rock idols” when it first came out in March 2005. The new album, Four on the Floor, is profoundly different: it sounds more mature and more female. Lewis says she drew inspiration for the album from Ariel Levy’s book, Female Chauvinist Pigs. “It’s about girls who emulate men and think that’s empowerment, and they emulate the grossest sides of men,” she says. “They get it wrong. So yeah, I have tried to have a strength from nurturing and sensitivity and also have fearlessness but I do have a hostility as well. For instance, all the treatments for the video I got were all sexual and that pissed me off. Does Jack White get a treatment where he’s ******* the camera and simulating sex?”
Lewis seems to love the idea of rock life - the tour bus, the pan-European gigs, the living out of a suitcase, the bonding with the boys that will take up the next few months. It is a long, full rock-band tour. It started last week in Berlin, the first UK date is in Brighton tomorrow and she remains in this country until December.
“There’s an odd security about having a little travelling home and we all like each other so much,” she says. “All of us write on the road and the music is fuelled by love, not partying. Our version of partying is having a couple of drinks. My entire band dances, which is a rarity, and none of us do drugs. I approach the whole thing like an athlete for endurance and stamina. The show is fun for me. That’s the celebration. That is the party.”
Of course, this wasn’t always the case. A decade ago, Lewis liked to party in that other way, the druggie way. By 22 she knew she was so messed up that she checked herself into a clinic. It was a Scientologist-run clinic; this is the religion she grew up with. “Scientology,” she says, “keeps me rooted and grounded. I don’t know why people have the idea that it’s dogmatic. I’m a very questioning person and what’s so great about it is that it follows my defiant nature. It’s thought-provoking. I find it stimulating and intelligent. It’s also practical.”
She raves about the clarity of L Ron Hubbard, who founded Scientology, and his books. A couple of them lie on her coffee table, mixed with magazines, arty books, a Pink Floyd CD and an uneaten wrap from a takeaway chain. “Technically it’s a religion, but it’s more broad-based than that,” she says. “It brings in a lot of eastern-style philosophies and it gives you life tools. Simple stuff that deals with communication.”
Lewis says her band is like a rugby team. “We’re very physical with each other. There’s pure enthusiasm and a little bit of innocence but we all work very hard. And, you know, if people say to me is this a hobby …”
Her mouth thins in rage. She does not want to be put into the same category as other actors turned musicians - Minnie Driver, say. “If you want to start a new career in your 30s as a woman and go for broke, it is at once terrifying and exhilarating. I haven’t done a movie this year, I sold my house and I’m hitting the road to tour the record, doing what any other band would do.”
Lewis has spent the summer here in Britain in Sam Shepherd’s Fool For Love, a play set in a motel on the edge of the Mojave desert. “Eight shows a week sharpens your focus and improves your stamina. This play fitted me. It’s high drama. I was born that way. I always had a penchant for it … When I was younger, though, the drama would bleed over into life and I would get myself into situations that were not healthy. I don’t just mean the drugs. I mean when I was much younger I would hang out with tough people. Real hoodlums, gang members, just to see how dangerous it could get. I had a sense of adventure and I put myself in situations that maybe other people wouldn’t have … but I’m alive.”
Lewis was born in Woodland Hills, California. Her parents divorced when she was two. Her father, an actor, is now on his fourth marriage. Her mother, an artist, is on her third. They were bohemian, they were clever and they were also Scientologists. When she was 19 she got “emancipated” from her parents. It’s often written about in an exaggerated way, she says, with people saying she divorced her parents, when there was no real rift.
“It was because you were more likely to get hired if you were an ‘emancipated’ minor versus a minor. You could work without restrictions of the child labour laws. It wasn’t anything to do with my parents, who were funny, very alive and very supportive. A lot of young actors in Hollywood got emancipated from their parents.”
She says now - and this does seem to conflict slightly with her denial of real problems at home - that acting was “the one source of confidence and strength for me. Everything else was a complete disaster. In junior high school, trying to get lunch had more challenges than acting on a TV show.
“Weirdly, I got on well with all the different groups, I was friends with the popular girls. I was friends with the minorities, I was friends with the odd bunch. I just didn’t know who I was. I wasn’t an outcast in a traditional sense. I’m a dichotomy. In some ways I am very traditional and people don’t expect that. For instance, when I was married I loved doing my husband’s laundry. I liked it because I liked the tradition of it, because I grew up without it. I grew up where we didn’t all sit at the dinner table, we just all sort of got food from the kitchen.”
Lewis married professional skateboarder Steve Berra in 1999. The couple were divorced four years later. “He was a workhorse. Everything was work-related and he found it difficult to be in a marriage. We got married during the illusionist period, the grand illusion. We were friends for two years, then we realised we liked each other. We got married straight after we had said, ‘Oh my God, I like you,’ and, ‘Oh my God, I like you too’.
“Then he was off making his first skateboarding film and I was off making a movie. We’re best friends now. It’s like a family relationship. We always check how we are.”
One senses there was some immense pain and disappointment in all this, before it got to the friends bit.
Famously, Lewis went out with Brad Pitt for four years, from the age of 16 to 20. “He’s not in my universe at all now,” she says. “It seems like a high-school relationship because now he’s a very famous person. I look at this person that I shared a bit of history with. I hope he finds happiness because I genuinely loved him. He’s a very stand-up, good guy. Four years was an eternity at that time. It was my longest relationship and we both lost our anonymity together. Huge life changes all occurred, all connected to that person. Mmm.”
She stares into a blank mid-distance. “We’re strangers now. Isn’t that weird? I don’t know him as an adult, and he doesn’t know me. I know that he likes interesting women, always has, and I know that he’s a guy from Missouri that grew up in a very small world and it took huge courage for him to leave.”
Is there a love in her life now? “Apart from my band?” She laughs again. “You know, I get lonely - I’m not going to lie about that … I kind of signed up in my mind that I’m giving myself wholeheartedly, full-throttle to my creative life and I don’t want to be distracted.”
She does see people, though. The last guy she dated, she says, “was a musician as well. We met at a music festival. We’ve stopped dating now but we’re friends.” Why did you stop? “He went through that thing where he didn’t know how to have a relationship. You know, you either jump in and you try or you don’t, and he didn’t want to try. He was still struggling and his struggle became depleting.” She screws up her face. “I hate dates. It becomes a weird auditioning process. And I’ve never had normal dating. When you become famous at 19 it does a number in your head, so you find romance in the mundane - isn’t it so great that a guy would pick me up at my house and take me to a restaurant?”
On stage these days, Lewis certainly gives it her all: she has appeared on stage in a viking helmet, wearing bikini bottoms. “I think rock’n'roll is extremely sexy and alive, and you have these idiot guys who might project a view on you, like I’m a hot or whatever girl.
“I’m actually very moral and nurturing, but I’m also adventurous. I am challenging. On stage the pixie circus performer you see is not a coy little kitten. I love projecting a female form of strength and vitality … In fact, I have a friend who calls me Cheetah.”
It’s a rare thing when someone talks therapy-speak yet still manages to make you warm to them. Juliette Lewis believes in herself at least, so she makes you feel the same. There’s nothing cutesy and kittenish about her. She’s a proper cat - purring, growling and slinking.

I think it is interesting that she still respects brad and talks about him in such a wonderful way 13 years after the fact, It it amazes me that the only person who has ever said something negative and horrible about brad is aniston.

Well, fishstick did after they broke up thru the spin Huvane & co were trying to make (putting the blame on Brad)….but she sort of retracted that I think 5 yrs later..

Very true, indeed. More negative story from her.
Yes , the one he was married for several yrs .

Sorry ell I’m a bit confused. Are you referring to Gwyneth? Or Aniston?
IIRC, Gwyneth and her camp allowed the stories to proliferate that Brad cheated and all that that’s why they break off the engagement.
Sorry I may have gotten the dates wrong - but the thing is Brad was pinned and lambasted by the media when they broke up. Was it not 5 yrs later that she was interviewed being remorseful about it? I think she just left it too late to come clean with all issue when people were already hanging Brad…..

Well, Gwen did cheat on Brad, admitted it to him and he called off the wedding. It happened while she was in London filming Sliding Doors.
Where are people seeing an announcement FF is closing the B/A threads? I went over there and they’re still at it spewing hate and garbage. Then again I only looked on the first page because they’re all repulsive

Okey. For me, Gwyneth was at that time guilty of putting the blame on him by letting the media accuse him of all things and people thought that’s how things went because she let them be. She could have said something to clear his name but she didn’t immediately….and I think her camp may had also planted some stuff to make it appear he is to blame and her rep to be pure as driven snow.

Very true. Brad was the victim and was hanged.
Gwyneth was the culprit of the 1st order. Her admission was late much like the T.C./ B. Shields
story.Their true character comes out anyway, no matter how hard they masked it. However she did
one thing right when she cautioned the divorcing Pitts about airing the dirty laundry. Off course we knew who spent so much time in the laundry.

That’s exactly what happened. She was letting it be put out there that he was the bad guy. The tabloids went crazy with it. Then she did an about face and took out an ad in a NY paper declaring what an upstanding man he is.
Brad discussed this whole situation in I think Rolling Stone at the time. He never mentioned Paltrow by name but it was clear who he was talking about. He was saying things like because of their own guily conscious this person is trying to slander me in the papers, etc.
This is why Paltrow said that when Brad finally did speak to her again it was a huge relief to her because she knew she hurt him. As she told Oprah she was the architect of her own demise.
Who cares anyway? It was almost 10 years ago.
LMAO. Isn’t “ritzygal” the nut who was on here posting garbage? Well she just admitted she’s on Bradfans under the name “Karoona” She’s CRAZY!

Unless any of you…uh…ladies succeed in getting me banned. I do believe I have the right to post here whenever I want.
However, this tattoo thing could be an interesting insight to Brad’s personality or it could be much ado about nothing. He’s a big boy, he made a new choice. I’m over it. Well, actually, I would love to know what the one on his arm says. Hopefully, it’s in english.
I’m absolutely tickled pink about all the fans I have on this and other sites. It does indeed warm the cockles of my heart!

Gywneth’s admission of infidelity was a bit too late. Damaged was done. Media was so cruel in
depicting Brad as causing the break up of his last 2 relationships. The latest one fueled by an overzealous campaign by his X PR group and guess what , it is backfiring now. Guess HW is smart enough to see what really went on. HOT

Forgot to mention S. HUVANE is the PR who handles both Paltrow and Brad’s EX. Go figure.

HA! I guess FF is getting closed down because they’re over here posting old, UK tabloid stories. Idiots!
Servre’s slow
283 | piyutra - They are from FF.
Jared,
Thank you for deleting IRONIC’s posts. They were a sheer waste of time, rehashing tabloid stories that was so typical of FF posters. Maybe it’s true that they have shut down the Brad/Angie forum on FF, because the lame brains are beginning to post their crap here. Ironic mentioned the name of that vile Vaj something something person who was a major poster at FF.
Jared, I am so glad that you are vigilant in not letting your site become a cesspool of hatred!
Thank you JJ for deleting Ironic’s posts. Those posts are definitely from FF.
Those people at FF are beyond insane. When I went there this a.m. to try and find the bit about the thread being closed there were posts over there that some poster made up about Angelina drowning and declared dead using a fake CNN link as a source. They’re really sick
281 | CCCC
I GUESS SO :D
…AND JJ! OMG! IS THE LAST PIC FROM THE ANGIE’S NEW VOGUE ISSUE?????
#284 Leo,
Sheesh, that is just so sick!!!! That’s why I haven’t even tried to lurk at FF lately, they have become worse than deranged. It’s going on two years now since Brad and X separated, and they are still carping on the same theme of hatred and blaming Angie for the breakup. Man, I’ve never read so much vile hatred for someone whom they do not even know. I’m just glad that Angie is a strong woman and doesn’t pay attention to such garbage.
I guess they are going ape sh-t now because of all the positive press Brad and Angie are getting, and even the tabs have nothing negative on them now. And they cannot push X forward other than the pathetic best-dressed on People and the ensemble acting on Broadway.
All pictures attached to this thread are old pictures Angelina did for Vigue.
The other thing I wanted to mention was the link to that photoshopped, disgusting picture of Angelina that someone posted came from FF. In fact a poster asked that the person Email the picture to Brad’s brother Doug’s company Email.
These people don’t seem to understand that in the United States email harrassment is just the same as harrassment any other way. Either it be by phone, mail, etc. I hope Doug has contacted the authorities because it isn’t the first time they’ve published his company email and sent things like that to him.
Did this photoshoot happened during the time we’ve seen pics of the Brad and Angelina in the airfield, with Angie wearing a dress and a heeled shoes? I did wonder about that attire, as it seems uncomfortable when flying a plane. So maybe Angie did get to bring home a few of the outfits huh? (the dress she’s wearing included) I have my doubts if Brad will be in any of the photos, the article above mentioned Brad buzzed up on his plane and those airfield pics we’ve seen a few days ago shows Brad accompanying Angie. (maybe after the shoot?)
Good Morning all!
285 | piyutra– I think that was from 02(?)
she’s overated. she’s not that pretty either.
those airfield pics we’ve seen a few days ago
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
No. Those pictures are from August just before they left for NOLA.
In fact a poster asked that the person Email the picture to Brad’s brother Doug’s company Email.

What?!! These people are seriously ill.
j@red, thanks for taking the time to delete those rubbish posts and link. God, some people are so immature.

It’s true. The poster said “Email that to Doug Pitt”
They don’t understand that if they’re a UK resident it’s even worse to do stuff like that because it then the F.B.I. would have to be contacted and involved. They’re really stupid and beyond delusional and sick.
# 290 l Stop looking at the damn mirror. It doesn’t matter what you do, your face isn’t gonna look any prettier just because you stare at it; and quit talking about yourself in the third person.

That’s really sick of them. hopefully those sick shitheads get traced…..SOON..
Piyutra and Leo,
Yes those fans at FF are sick. I saw that thread on Angie. They are very sick and I hope they close that forum down, really.

(Hey QQQQ I’m going to follow your srategy from yesterday)
From now on that’s what I will answer to all the haters or just ignore them as guli said yesterday!
Good morning everyone and please ignore them! Don’t pay any attention to them.
They may feel safe sending stuff like that via the Internet and thinking because nothing has happened, yet to them they can continue. It can take up to a year to bust someone on harrassment charges especially if the same person continues to do it. It’s about building a case. I really hope Doug is doing just that. I’m beginning to think he is/has because he has not removed or changed his email address
287 | Leo
Thanks for giving us an update on FF stunts. I find it too hard to go there myself so I appreciate info from the ones who can. At least they are being called out here for what they are doing and people will know the truth.

This is why Paltrow said that when Brad finally did speak to her again it was a huge relief to her because she knew she hurt him. As she told Oprah she was the architect of her own demise.
Who cares anyway? It was almost 10 years ago.
260 | Leo | 09/25/06 7:22 AM
Unfortunately, Gwyneth the stuckup Princess didn’t realize how much she hurt Brad. Even though it happened 10 years ago, he became so disallusioned with love that he married that maniston. He suffered even after he broke up with Gwyn. And look where it got him. He finally met Angie and had to endure the crap from so many people including the female first loons because he got out of that loveless marriage with chinman.
All cause that Gwyneth broke that man’s heart into a million little pieces. (oprah’s favortie book hehehe).
I found this very funny
Gwyneth Paltrow Martin Pitt
Hmmmm. My reliable sources in Hollywood tell me there are troubles in the Paltrow-Martin home. Chris is never home. Gwyn takes care of Apple all by herself. Chris is working on his music. Gwyn and Chris got into a huge fight out in public.
And of course, we all know that JA had an lesbo affair with Marky Mark’s cousin and she has been abusing the very substance that Jessica “Beef Jerky skin” Simpson has been snorting in the bathroom while Paris took notes. And there is no way that JA is going to gain twenty pounds to have a baby even if that baby is pretty much guaranteed to be the most gorgeous infant ever to grace planet Earth.
Brad’s biological clock is ticking. And Gwynnie loves being a mother. And she isn’t opposed to more children with fruit or perhaps, vegetable names. Imagine the fun they could have coming up with names to go with the surname of “Pitt”…Pepper Pitt. Peach Pitt. If Apple were to be adopted by Brad she would be Apple Pitt which is totally cute. I mean, Apple Martin is only one letter away from being Apple Martini so by comparison, Pitt doesn’t sound all that bad.
Gwyn recently met with Brad for a “business” deal. I know personal issues were discussed. A kiss on the cheek, a hug. And although Brad and Jen were photographed together, they were not wearing wedding rings and have confirmed they are most certainly NOT getting back together which puts the kabosh on those board game/karaoke nights over at the Cox-Arquette home.
I’m going to hold my breath while Brad decides what he’s going to do. My magical crystal ball is indicating a Brad-Gwyn hookup before the year is over. Plus Brad is way cuter than Chris Martin, although I do love a British man with a good sense of humor (Hugh Grant- lets meet for drinks, perhaps an Apple Martini?)
Morning BAMZS fans,
I hope you all have a good day/after/night :)
305 | UGH
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
No one knows what was going on in Brad’s heart or mind after he broke up with Paltrow. All of it is conjecture and probably not even close to the reality. I think folks tend to over dramatize a celebrity’s life because they think they live bigger then life. He and Paltrow broke up, he met Aniston, they got married and then divorced. He met Angelina, moved forward with his life with her and started a family. It happens all the time all over the world
305 | UGH
Wasn’t there a report Brad saw Gwen in London at that charity
event and cooed baby Apple backstage? Seeing an ex-girlfriend
with her new baby is quite special—all the more he went straight
to daddy way fast with Angie :) Well done Gwenyth.
Maybe the petition writers should utilize their spell check more often. They misspelt smoothly.
The following passage shows their obvious bias:
“In addition, the possible decision of casting a supposed couple as two leading characters within a film project that requires a long production schedule has also made some skeptical as to the artistic intentions of those cast members and the individuals deciding to cast them.”
They do not care about Atlas Shrugged, they are pissed that Brad and Angelina might be working on screen again.
testing
ok magazine/current issue
Jen Revenge AGAIN! LOL
She’s finding solace in good Friends!
Vaughniston may just be a thing of the past. While her supposed beau is off promoting a slew of projects, without Jen in tow, the lovely actress has been spending quality time with her former Friends co-star Matthew Perry. The two were spotted dining and getting ice cream together. “They were enjoying each other’s company,” an eyewitness tells OK!. “It was just the two of them laughing and having a good time.” Is this blossoming relationship the real deal, or just a way for Jen to get Vince to see what he’d be losing…
I am going to resubscribe to Vogue, I cancelled it after that awful, ugly picture of X on the cover in Jan 2004. It was that ugly and I liked X at that time.
CLINIQUA~NO APOLOGY NESCESARRY. you are so happening and fierce on this sight,it’s good to know that you are human. you really and truely bring this board to life. would not be any fun without You. Hope today is a better day for you.
Peace~
308 | Leo | Go to PittCenter and watch the DS (1998) interview while Brad was promoting 7 yrs in Tibet. When DS asked Brad about her, he almost burst into tears twice. He had to fight REAL hard for the tears not to come. At this time he was in his 30’s. That woman hurt him really BAD.
304 | julie
I will be buying my very first copy of Vogue in December for this photoshoot. I also just bought my very first copy of Esquire to support Brad.
306 | What if
It does make you wonder if Gwen is constantly thinking about “what if” Brad and I had stayed together. I know nothing about Chris Martin but I’m not really sure what the attraction was there? It seems like being married to a musician who goes on tour alot is hard to maintain. Kate Hudson just split with her musician husband and has talked about how difficult it was to go on tour with him to try to stay close. Even BBT wanting to go on tour with his band instead of staying with Angelina and Maddox apparently was a big factor in their breakup. All this news about Brad and his exes and what they have lost for not being with him anymore. Well, too bad for them and lucky Angelina!
Just beautiful :)
315 | QQQQ
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I’ve seen that video. I also saw it when it was originally aired. It still doesn’t mean that any of us know anything about how he felt and/or feels about Paltrow and it having anything to do with his marriage to Aniston. That’s my original point. It’s all conjecture and always will be, because Brad when he’s done is done and just doesn’t discuss his past relationships
#211- Guli, We have all flirted with the dark side from time to
time. But I definitely agree that we shouldn’t respond or even
comment on the nasty posters like the ones that say horrible
things about BAMZS. They really do thrive on this sort of negative
attention. Guli, if you respond back, then these ATTENTION
SEEKERShave WON because that’s precisely what they are looking
for, ATTENTION. The best thing to do is just report the abusive
comment, let JJ decide whether he wants to keep the comment or
not and then move on.
Ignoring these abusive posts is NOT THE SAME AS SETTING THE
RECORD STRAIGHT. I will set the record straight about
innuendos that Brad and Angelina are pocketing the money from
the sale of Shiloh’s pictures by cutting and pasting the IRS write
up about charitable foundations. For me, setting the record
straight on the Foundation business is very important, but I still
DON’T HAVE TO REFER TO ANY SPECIFIC HATER. Just post the
blanket factual response – like that one from the IRS. My
standard response to the cheating comments is to ask how they
know more then Brad’s X and her BFF Courtney Cox who believed
he didn’t cheat. But I don’t waste too much time typing a fresh
response each time.
Also agree with Cliniqua – lets just post the links to the good
stuff. I can read the bad stuff anytime and frankly, when the bad
stuff is published by STAR or Outta Touch etc, I don’t even
bother to glance through those in the supermarket.
Ok, now my 2 cents worth about Brad. This is the first time I
read Brad’s 1998 interview. My 1st cent is how He really knows
how NOT to talk, how to cut someone out from his life: quote:
“I told Pitt I had talked to Paltrow.
“Oh really?” he said, looking surprised. I was about to continue,
but Pitt cut me off. “I don’t want to know what she said.””
“I asked him if he thought he had rushed into his engagement to
Paltrow.
He smiled at my persistance. “No,” he said emphatically. “I
believed.”
“Have you talked to her since?”
He laughed. “It’s done.””
Angelina has the same quality. She knows how to cut her losses
and move on. This is a quality I respect. I don’t like people who
are constantly bemoaning their losses.
It took years for a rapprochment to occur between Gwyneth and
Brad as friends, after she had openly acknowledged that the break
up was her fault. No rapprochment with Juliette Lewis as
evidenced by her own interview (she hasn’t spoken to him in 13
years though she says nice things about him).
Going by past history, I’d say there’s probably (though no one
could know for certain) no going back to Brad’s latest X. She is
cut out and cut off.
My 2nd cent is how Brad appears to have felt for Jennifer. Quote
“For the past several months, Pitt has been going out with
Jennifer Aniston. “Oh God, I don’t know,” he said when I
mentioned her. “I have no idea what to tell you. No idea.” He
wrapped his arms around his chest and looked at me sweetly, but
said no more. ….. With his arms still wrapped around him, he said,
“I’m not in a hurry. Listen, if it’s not right, I don’t want it. I’m
telling you straight: it’s a damned good time of my life.””
It’s interesting that he speaks of Jennifer, after several months of
dating in such ambivalent terms. Contrast that to what he said
about Angelina soon after he started seriously dating her in June
05 “Shes a wonderful woman, great actress, mother etc..” (I
can’t remember the quote exactly but you know which one I
mean).
I do think my initial reaction on seeing photos of his wedding to
Jennifer was right – he settled for Jennifer. She seemed a nice
girl, a little insecure (well, after Gwyneth, perhaps that was a
relief), his family liked her, he was 35 and he wanted kids, and she
probably said she’d love to have them too – as she has been doing
since 2000.
. Just talk about her present life, she is not her past anymore. not that u forget it, u just move on
99 | QQQQ |

I agree, Lets just stay in the present. I am tired of them beating that dead horse to death, regarding her past life, which actually was not anything to be ashame of.

good morning everybody! i missed the beginning of this lovely thread! i can’t wait to see the pics they took of angie on the airfield!
how is everybody doing today? i’m recovering from brad & angie’s wedding yesterday (ironic, isn’t it? i teased them sooo bad about that!) but i’ve got parties all week! woe is me!
Anyone know who won the Hello Mag humanitarian poll?

Good Morning to all my fellow BAMZS Fans, hope you guys are having a good day so far
Brad was in love Gwyneth. He was engaged to her; she cheated on him, got hurted badly by her; then he broke up with her.
Brad loved Jennifer. He got married to her. They had totally different dreams in life. They got divorced.
Brad adores Angelina. He has 3 kids with her which has always been his dream and still head over heels in love with her, shares his life with her.
THE END
Ohhh Angelina called up Annie and set up these photos. The
whole conversations during the photo shoot where about Baby
Suri. Annie about went nuts because everytime she asked
Angelina a question, she would just say, “Is she really that
beautiful in person”. At the end of the shoot Annie overheard her
calling Brad, saying “We were supposed to have the most
beautiful chilld, not Tom, lets see if he will let us adopt her!”
Mediterranean! Thank you for your post! I agree with it 100%. Let’s not talk bad about Brad’s exs. Just concentrate on his wonderful life with Angelina and their kids right now! They rock!
Gitane? where are you? so are you going to subscribe back to Vogue? gosh I’m still lol about your little incident about that cover..

i’m here! wading through the posts i missed and trying to answer phone calls at the same time!
I always knew the ff’ers would get in trouble for harrassment. I hope it hits them hard so all their family and friends (if they have any) find out about the insane, sick stuff they have been doing online.
328 | Mediterranean |-Very well said! :)
Angie’s beauty radiates from the inside out. I think that she looks more gorgeous now in her early thirties. The serene glow on her face reflects the joy and love she has with Brad and their children. As a Brad Pitt fan since Thelma and Louise, it makes my heart swell that he finally found his lovematch. They are both very fortunate to find each other. Angie is a devoted and loving wife/partner, mother and humanitarian. Brad is a very rare find- a committed and loving partner and husband, a great father and humanitarian.
This how I can describe their life:
happiness keeps them sweet, trials keep them stronger, success keeps them grounded.
my pleasure :), anytime!
328 - Mediterranean
LOL! SO true. I hope Brad and Angelina will have an everlasting love and they deserve each other truly.
I really pray that they will be together for a long time. They are my source of happiness right now. Whenever my day is going bad, I would think about their family and smile. They are doing the things that I would like to do if I ever have the kind of money that they do!

Hello BAMZS fans and friends. How is it going.
I see we have some visitors already…
Ell- Thank you for the wonderful video. I left you a comment on Youtube :)
Alex-I’ll send you an email as soon as catch up here. I am so sorry…
?????#343-I am curious to know how you feel about friend, relatives and acquaintances of yours who are or who appear to be very very very much in love. I am sure you don’t “really know them either” You know them ( I am speaking about your specific friends and family) them to a certain degree right? Just as they don’t totally know you. When you look at a picture of anyone, celebrity or not, and they radiate their love, aren’t you a little bit moved from what you see? Another example-When I saw the twin towers fall, and I saw ppl jumping from those buildings, I cried. I didn’t know any of them. But everytime, even now, I hear Lee Greenwood sing God Bless the USA, I think about those ppl and I cry.I remember when Princess Diana got married. I was up early enough to see the wedding and I felt an enormous amount of emotion for both of them. When I looked at Brad and Jen’s wedding picture, I felt an enormous amount of emotion for both of them. When I look at Brad holdint Shiloh, I almost cry. You see, I believe that is the nature of the human spirit. No other animal on earth feels as deeply as we do. So please re-think your criticism. Because, it doesn’t take personal knowledge of anyone to feel happy about them or for their picture to make your day. I love Reese Witherspoon. I am proud because she is a Tennessean like I am. When Reese won the oscar, It made my night! I was soooo proud to see her win. I have a huge amount of admiration for her and it’s not worship. I do not idolize her. I wouldn’t want her autograph unless she wanted mine. For me, it’s the same thing with Brad and Angie. I would love to speak to them about Africa and why is it necessities can’t just be purchased and shipped and distributed by aid workers?? That is a huge issue with me. Nevertheless, when you post a comment out of sincerity for your fellow man, think about the validity of what you are saying and what the purpose of your statements are.
#347 / me
huh….sweetie, I think you missed you way. Perez Hilton is on the other side of the tracks. That’s where people get away with throwing insults at the blog owner. Watch yourself.

I am seriously behind in reading the posts, but let me see if I’ve got this straight - a bunch of those psycho ******* from FF have not only started a “save Brad” website, but they’re also likely behind this hilarious letter to the producers of “Atlas Shrugged”? Hmm…methinks these women are spending just a wee bit too much time obsessing over Brad and Angie. WE at least like them and support them, so WE have an excuse for our obsession. However, to spend all of your time and energy tying to screw up the lives of two movie actors just because a select few don’t approve of them is highly insane. I hate Julia Roberts with a passion and would love it if she never made another movie or even left her house. However…I am not spending my days and nights trying to prevent her movie career or keep her from leaving her house. What they fail to realize is that Ayn Rand was an iconoclast and would probably have approved of a singular individual like Angelina Jolie playing the role of Dagney Taggart. But, I’m sure that’s a moot point for these twits.
Ok, now my 2 cents worth about Brad. This is the first time I

Excellent post Lylian!! :-D
I especially agree with your assessment of Brad’s ambiguity about Aniston at the start. Compare that with how he was with GP — supposedly said he was goofy and couldn’t speak, or contrast that with how people say he was with Angelina on the set of MAMS (telling people she was ‘a goddess,’ admitting the attraction TO HIS WIFE, for God’s sake! lol - “enchanted” with her, per Courtney Cox, etc., etc.) - and we see the difference…he did settle, of course….the one thing that I’d love a timeline on, is what if anything was going on that pushed him over the edge, and finally made him get hitched. Because from what I read he was reluctant - they went together for two years, and he was still iffy….
….I’d love to look at a timeline, and find out if that’s when GP was dating Ben Affleck or something…lolololol. It’s common knowledge that Brad was still bitter and angry w/ her even after his marriage - which is NOT a good sign and doesn’t bode well for the new relationship (i.e., rebound, ‘thin line between love and hate, and all that jazz….)

What is that even supposed to mean? Sounds like they just can’t stand the thought of Brad and Angie being in a movie together.

A post from a longtime lurker. In regards to GP, anyone know where I can find the clip of her basically admitting that she screwed things up with BP? Was that with Diane Sawyer? Sorry, it’s been ages since I seen that clip.

TROY
Reports that BRAD PITT will play JEFF BUCKLEY in an upcoming biopic have been rubbished by the singer’s mother MARY GUIBERT. Guibert is working on upcoming movie MYSTERY WHITE BOY herself, as she fears Hollywood would not do the story of Buckley’s life justice. And although she denies speculation that Pitt will star in the film, Guibert would love to have the TROY star involved in the making of the movie, which is set to be released in 2008. Guibert says, “Brad has never actually wanted to play Jeff, he found all those tabloid stories very funny. “All he wanted to do was help produce a project that would have been close to his heart. Brad is still on a list of people we would love to have work with us.”

Angelina Jolie & Jennifer Aniston: The Pregnancy Speculation
——————————————————————————–
By Jo Anne Way
Sep 25, 2006
Angelina Jolie can’t seem to shake the rumors of a second pregnancy. As the gossip turns many are again zoning in on Angie’s tummy looking for a baby bump.
Angelina Jolie Pregnancy Would Upset Jennifer Aniston?
And Jennifer Aniston (lucky her) gets included as well.
Life & Style Weekly reports that people are whispering that recent photos show a telltale bump. So of course - the question turns to Jolie’s nemesis Jennifer Aniston.
***
According to the magazine a second pregnancy would not sit well with Jennifer. “Jennifer will fume with jealousy if Brad conceives two kids in just 20 months while she is still in a holding pattern about having kids with Vince (Vaughn),” the chatty insider close to Jennifer tells the weekly magazine.
“It burns Jen up to see Angie enjoying things she’s always wanted whether it’s babies or Brad,” the source continues.
***
That sounds a bit petty and Jennifer’s rep agrees. Cue the rep™: Team Aniston says the insider is way off. Even though it seems Jennifer has moved on she will apparently be linked to Angie as long as Jolie and Jen-ex and the unmarried father of Angelina’s children Brad Pitt is in the picture.
And certainly the baby watch is still on for Jolie, even tough she looks slim and stunning.
***
But Angie didn’t help matters any with her first (and possibly only) pregnancy by denying and hiding the bump until she was forced to reveal it when she went to the Dominican Republic for re-shoots on her film, “The Good Shepard.”
Star Magazine reported earlier this month that their insider was dishing the same type pregnancy gossip for Jolie.
***
“Angie has been looking extremely big around the mid section,” says a source. “She lost a ton of weight after Shiloh was born, and now she seems to have gained it back plus some.”
That was met with laughter by Pitt. Cue the rep™: Brad Pitt’s rep was amused by the latest gossip: “It’s so stupid.”

One can love the other at first sight, suddenly like lightning in his head and heart. One can feel that he can make the world upside down for the other.
One can also another one slowly and takes his time to love this person. One can feel that it is very convenient to love this person .
Why are some of us sooo sure that Brad didn’t love Jennifer but married her and stayed with her for 7 years?
Do you think that Brad is this kind of guy? In my opinion, what he feels and thinks of someone is very important to him. He would not be with some one for 7 years without love. But what kind of love he had for Jennifer was just known by him.
As I always believe he adores his Angie and head over heels in love with her.

Gwyneth Paltrow would seem to have led a charmed life. She’s beautiful, rich and famous. But she’s also had her fair share of personal tragedy. And on a more trivial level, there are all those self-inflicted disasters, starting with that dress she wore to the Oscars. Then, there’s her love life. She’s the blonde who didn’t marry Brad Pitt, the one who fell head over her Manolo-Blahnik heels for Ben Affleck. But now, as Diane Sawyer discovered, things are looking up for Ms Paltrow. There’s a new movie she’s seriously proud of and the new man she’s uncharacteristically coy about.
STORY - GWYNETH PALTROW: Gosh, it’s so nice to be home. I can’t tell you. Cobblestones and Manolos. Oh, it smells like Stella, I love it. She’s got a new perfume.
DIANE SAWYER: Gwyneth Paltrow back home. Still a girl who radiates a kind of hilarious perfection … the long legs, the shiny hair, though she’d be the first to say that behind every glossy photo, there’s a human truth.
You actually split the seams of this?
GWYNETH PALTROW: I split the seams of those. I was at this premiere and as I got out of the car to go to the party, I thought, I’m being ventilated in a way that’s not okay.
DIANE SAWYER: The Oscar dress?
GWYNETH PALTROW: Oh, right.
DIANE SAWYER: Defend your dress.
GWYNETH PALTROW: I really liked that dress, but everybody hated it.
DIANE SAWYER: Very sort of like Bardot.
GWYNETH PALTROW: I didn’t realise quite the angle of the underwear would show that way.
DIANE SAWYER: And even those pictures from the most magical time in her career, her award-winning performance in Shakespeare in Love, even those disguise a secret. Like the smiles at the Golden Globes.
GWYNETH PALTROW: So when I won the Golden Globe, my grandfather had liver cancer and my father had throat cancer, but my grandfather didn’t know about my father, so we couldn’t say anything. But then by the time that the Academy Awards happened, he knew.
DIANE SAWYER: And everyone remembers her anguished Oscar speech. Urging her grandfather, Buster, to hang in there and then tearfully expressing love for her dad as he wrestled insurmountable obstacles.
GWYNETH PALTROW: I’m really like the daddy’
