OlderAnnie Shoots Angelina Again
Four years ago, Annie Leibovitz shot Angelina Jolie for the April 2002 cover of Vogue in their first-ever Shape Issue. Four years later, Annie is at it again with Angelina!
Annie Leibovitz is tired and nursing a cold, and she’ s just flown back to New York on the red-eye from Los Angeles, where she spent two days shooting Angelina Jolie for Vogue. Like so many of her photo sessions, there was nothing simple about it. “I talked with Angelina before the shoot,” says Leibovitz, who’s famous for her preparation. “She felt like she was coming back from having the baby and she felt very sexy and ready to go.” Jolie, a pilot, suggested shooting on an old airfield near the desert, with motorcycles and small planes among the props. (She flew herself to the location and the next day, Brad Pitt buzzed up in his plane.) They also spent a day shooting in the dunes near Death Valley, where the mercury hit 104, and the wind whipped so hard that everyone was peppered with sand. There were 50 people on the set, and racks of clothes from the New York spring collections to be tried and styled. It was as if Leibovitz were directing a small movie.
It’ll be very, very interesting to see how Annie will portray Angelina four years later. Expect Angelina Jolie to grace the November 2006 or December 2006 issue of Vogue. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

I’m just so glad that Brad did not even acknowledge his past in his Esquire interview — not even one tinny tiny allusion to his marriage. I’m pretty sure that the interviewer want to go there, but Brad wouldn’t. HAHAHA! Must have really bummed the X whose interviews always alluded to her “difficult 18 months”, to the “Bermuda Triangle” etc etc etc.
i was only able to skim the posts, but i thought someone mentioned something about “4 ******* on a beach” hehe. i don’t think their Malibu homes are close to each other, but i can definetely picture X pretending to walk the dogs by the Bamzs house. didn’t they move into the Los Feliz house already.

Don’t you remember she was in England for no reason? She claimed she was there for reshoots for Derailed but there weren’t any scheduled. Schwimmer was in London doing a play and she didn’t go see him. What she did do was go to some spa and probably drive to Fulmer in Buckinghamshire. ROTFL. Then of course she rented the place in Malibu after Brad bought the house in Malibu

And the rented house in Malibu? No, no…you misunderstood about that. She looked at that house MONTHS BEFORE Brad bought his house. Okay…so she’d heard rumors that he was closing on the house and rented the only hovel available on short notice…but…still…that was a coinkydink.

Guli, it is indeed great to be a BAMZS fan right now, so many things to look forward to. What I am really hoping for is a family photo at the Taj Mahal, now that would be a keeper. I have to believe with Brad’s love of architecture that has to be a side trip the Jolie-Pitts might take while in India if possible. And such a beautiful and romantic spot, too!

don’t you wish that on 10/2/06 while we’re here celebrating an entire year of “official” freedom, she’s just kinda goes “poof”? not die or anything like that, but that people would kinda forget that she is… no more friends reruns on tbs, all her bad movies disappear from the shelves at blockbuster, no more pics of her on jj, no more mention of her in articles about the jolie-pitts…
i’m getting verklempt just imagining it…
