OlderAnnie Shoots Angelina Again
Four years ago, Annie Leibovitz shot Angelina Jolie for the April 2002 cover of Vogue in their first-ever Shape Issue. Four years later, Annie is at it again with Angelina!
Annie Leibovitz is tired and nursing a cold, and she’ s just flown back to New York on the red-eye from Los Angeles, where she spent two days shooting Angelina Jolie for Vogue. Like so many of her photo sessions, there was nothing simple about it. “I talked with Angelina before the shoot,” says Leibovitz, who’s famous for her preparation. “She felt like she was coming back from having the baby and she felt very sexy and ready to go.” Jolie, a pilot, suggested shooting on an old airfield near the desert, with motorcycles and small planes among the props. (She flew herself to the location and the next day, Brad Pitt buzzed up in his plane.) They also spent a day shooting in the dunes near Death Valley, where the mercury hit 104, and the wind whipped so hard that everyone was peppered with sand. There were 50 people on the set, and racks of clothes from the New York spring collections to be tried and styled. It was as if Leibovitz were directing a small movie.
It’ll be very, very interesting to see how Annie will portray Angelina four years later. Expect Angelina Jolie to grace the November 2006 or December 2006 issue of Vogue. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Brad was present at both the shoots for the ads shot in Paris for StJohns and Shisedo. They just do not spend much time apart (so Brad has a plane now?), and seem very involved in each other’s professional lives as well as their private life together. An example of that is the formation of the Jolie-Pitt foundation to fund their interests, and Brad producing AMH with Angelina starring in it in India. They get to combine work with their love of travel. The little Jolie-Pitts passports will make interesting geographical reading material for Mad, Z, and Shiloh when they are older. LOL. Read a couple of the tabs today at the grocery store, and now, based on the pixs of Angie and Brad at the art exhibition, no break up forecast, just a loving couple (except US used pixs to say that Brad now dominates Angie). Well they can’t let a week go by without some mention of their bread and butter couple!

CCCC: Hey Girl. I posted alot on Friday before I left the office, but this week-end has been rushed. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some posts in tomorrow after AM meetings. Niece is out with sister, so I was able to get these bits in before I go to bed. I love that Brad showed up for her shoots — may can’t let that chick off on her own — LOVE IT!!! I wonder if Brad has his OWN plane, or was he using the one, he always used for his flight lessons. JMO, If he has his own plane, don’t you think, we would of have read it by now? Food for thought………

It’s hard, then, to escape the impression that Pitt, for all his glorious sex appeal, is essentially a domestic guy. “Homesteader is the word for it,” said Feldsher. He’s fun-loving, to be sure, “the king of of flatulence,” said Aidan Quinn. But he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to throw a girl over lightly.
“When he’s in a ‘relationship’ relationship, he’s very committed,” said Feldsher. “And he believes deeply in the joy and singular possibilities that can come out of sharing your life with someone.”
Pitt told me as much himself when our subject inevitably shifted to love and marriage. “It’s fantastic,” he said. “What’s a bigger high? Spending your life with another - I feel I’d be quite good at it. If I find it, I find it. If I don’t, I don’t. But I think with another person in your life you have the opportunity to get further, to grow more.”
So I wondered about his breakup with Paltrow. They had seemed so devoted - “madly in love” wouldn’t be an exaggeration. Paltrow, 25, is the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and the producer Bruce Paltrow. she spent her teenage years in Manhattan, in an East Side town house, and went to Spence, the exclusive girls’ school. When I interviewed her last summer she seemed sophisticated and bright, and may be a little hard on people - not mean, just competitive in the way of popular, pretty girls.
I told Pitt I had talked to Paltrow.
“Oh really?” he said, looking surprised. I was about to continue, but Pitt cut me off. “I don’t want to know what she said.”
There are alot of rumors going around Los Angeles and New York about what happened, some of them suggesting that Paltrow may have wavered in her commitment, and that is was Pitt who called off the engagement. “Obviously there’s curiosity about [the breakup], because there wasn’t alot said about it,” said Keener, keeping tight-lipped. “Everyone only has a piece of the puzzle except the two of them.”
“So what happened?” I asked Pitt.
“Well, I mean, you know what happened,” he said mildly.
“But why?”
He laughed. “Ahh, no.” then he said, “Isn’t it true of a lot of people? Since you started dating, there’s always been that period until you find the one you want to go the distance with?”
“But you thought you had found the one.”
He looked away. “But I was wrong. You figure it out.”
Feldsher told me, “I thank God for his relationship with Gwyneth. I think it was a great thing. First of all, they were really happy for a long time. Gwyneth is much more savvy than Brad about the business, having grown up with her mom, Blythe, and her dad, Bruce, in the Hollywood milieu. She was very helpful to Brad in that way. And when the relationship ended, O.K., maybe it was painful and they both found out it wasn’t for them, but he’s certainly much better for it, and I hope she is as well.
“I think she taught Brad a lot about existing in the klieg lights, and I think he has taught her a lot about it being O.K. to live out of them - that doesn’t mean you don’t exist…..Brad is incredibly sophisticated in the truest sense of the word, but in terms of the language of sophistication, Gwyneth’s got that down…..She’s very familiar with the topography of a sophisticated international life. And Pitt’s not. So in sound bites, she’s able to convey that.”
Pitt didn’t appear to be in a hurry to change the subject and said “Listen, there are painkillers for this and bandaids for that, but the bottom line is there are tough times and good times. One of the scenes I love in Meet Joe Black is when my character says, ‘You do the best you can, and if your lucky, you take some perfect pictures with you.’ And I wouldn’t trade any of the rotten times. They’re vital to defining who you are, what you want, how you want to live - all those grand little topics.”
I asked him if he thought he had rushed into his engagement to Paltrow.
He smiled at my persistance. “No,” he said emphatically. “I believed.”
“Have you talked to her since?”
He laughed. “It’s done.”
For the past several months, Pitt has been going out with Jennifer Aniston. “Oh God, I don’t know,” he said when I mentioned her. “I have no idea what to tell you. No idea.” He wrapped his arms around his chest and looked at me sweetly, but said no more. People who know Aniston describe her as warm, down-to-earth, uncomplicated - “an angel.”
“I think Pitt will always believe he’s compromising as long as he’s just acting.” Feldsher told me a few weeks after I’d left L.A. And it is probable that Brad Pitt himself, now in his middle 30s, does not think he has come close to giving audiences all that they want from him. As Pakula succinctly remarked, “There’s something about Brad that still seems like it’s being formed.”
But that evening, as nearly as could be made out from his voice, Brad Pitt’s big, idealistic heart was at peace. With his arms still wrapped around him, he said, “I’m not in a hurry. Listen, if it’s not right, I don’t want it. I’m telling you straight: it’s a damned good time of my life.”

Any negligence during any portion of the development of this film (including pre-production and post-production) may be taken as a profane desecration and we request that any possible negligence be avoided. We request that the development and final product stay loyal to the philosophies outlined within the original book and that these philosophies are correctly represented through film in such a way that respects the integrity of Ayn Rand and her literary work.
As of the authoring of this petition, Angelina Jolie has been chosen as the lead role of Miss Dagny Taggart and this choice has raised eyebrows due to the contrast between Rand’s philosophies (as represented through the character of Dagny Taggart) and the publicized actions and efforts of Miss Jolie. Though Miss Jolie has voiced her admiration for Ayn Rand, we have made notice that certain parts of Miss Jolie’s lifestyle seem to contradict this supposed admiration. While these observations do not necessarily mean that Miss Jolie will not performs her part well, it should be noted that these observations do make some of us skeptical about the integrity of this film project.

In short, we request that all parts of the development of the film “Atlas Shrugged” be taken seriously so as to guarantee the best final product possible. Finally, we wish all of those involved in the production the best of luck in hopes that the project goes smoothely and without a hitch.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are set to adopt a set of twins from an African orphanage next month. They are flying to Malawi to pick up twins or two regular siblings. They haven’t decided yet.
A source said: “Originally Madonna and Guy planned to adopt only one child. But when they were told that might mean breaking up a family unit they immediately said they would take siblings or twins if that was the right thing to do.
“They want the children to be as young as possible but are prepared to take
kids up to the age of four. And they are also willing to consider a child with special needs arising
from being abandoned in an orphanage.”
Her spokeswhore has confirmed she will travel to Africa next month for six-weeks, but didn’t confirm whether or not she was picking up some kids.
