OlderAnnie Shoots Angelina Again
Four years ago, Annie Leibovitz shot Angelina Jolie for the April 2002 cover of Vogue in their first-ever Shape Issue. Four years later, Annie is at it again with Angelina!
Annie Leibovitz is tired and nursing a cold, and she’ s just flown back to New York on the red-eye from Los Angeles, where she spent two days shooting Angelina Jolie for Vogue. Like so many of her photo sessions, there was nothing simple about it. “I talked with Angelina before the shoot,” says Leibovitz, who’s famous for her preparation. “She felt like she was coming back from having the baby and she felt very sexy and ready to go.” Jolie, a pilot, suggested shooting on an old airfield near the desert, with motorcycles and small planes among the props. (She flew herself to the location and the next day, Brad Pitt buzzed up in his plane.) They also spent a day shooting in the dunes near Death Valley, where the mercury hit 104, and the wind whipped so hard that everyone was peppered with sand. There were 50 people on the set, and racks of clothes from the New York spring collections to be tried and styled. It was as if Leibovitz were directing a small movie.
It’ll be very, very interesting to see how Annie will portray Angelina four years later. Expect Angelina Jolie to grace the November 2006 or December 2006 issue of Vogue. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

That part about Paltrow was funny. She always portrays herself as this little girl that got lost in Brad Pitt’s fan. Here they say she knew more about fame than Brad. I doubt that. Blyth Danner is a star but she is not a star on the level of Brad Pitt. I think he learned something from her but I dont think they have it quit right in terms of how much he learned from her.

What is that? I dont understand the problem these people have. Havent they ever heard of someone admiring a person or their work? Why do they think its going to be totally against what Rand stood for? And why if it is it Angie’s fault? Did she write the script? Have they even tried talking to Angelina? That’s strange.

I was like WTF? as well. I didn’t want to put the link for obvious reasons but it is a legit online petition. Maybe we should petition the petitioners. LOL!!!!
There are some really geeky people out there with too much time on their lonely hands lol! It made no sense the first time I read it and it still doesnt make any sense. Its strange. What does her personal life have to do with this? I read Rand and its not that big of a deal. I mean really its a book. These people are freaks!

I think the petitioners (proponents of Objectivism) don’t really want Atlas Shrugged to be made into a movie. I am not an intellectual but I could never understand why they’re against it and against the casting when Rand’s ideas and philosophy is all about individualism. Karen Baldwin (the producers) et al have all the rights (property rights to the movie and the right to profit in the spirit of “laizzie faire”) -

They’re worried that HW might butcher the book and her ideas. Some complained about Brad and Angie being big into altruism and their philanthropic activities might not really put across Rand’s philosophy in a convincing manner. Of course, that’s the only reason. Thank goodness this film doesn’t even start shooting until the middle of 2007 and released in 2008!
I’m about to hit the sack. I read about the FF shutting down. Awwwww! Fcuk em! JJ you better but some kind of monitoring sysem in place especially if you are putting up new pictures. I’m about to hit the sack. But in searching for the Vogue photos I came across rare photos of Angelina when she has a tan or a self tanner LOL. Too cool. Er, how about a source frenchy?? There are some of us who would be interested in retaliating, but when people post things with no source - there’s no way we can do this. I’d liek to know where this originated and where it’s going? As Angelina fans it’s imperative that when we post this stuff that is designed to throw a wrench in her film roles etc., that we can have an equally strong voice supporting her….
