Set in Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico and Japan, Babel opens in limited release on October 27. Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and co-stars Cate Banchett and Gael Garcia Bernal. I know a lot of men who are perfectly happy being single. They have every excuse in the world why they’re not ready to get married.I thought I had heard everything until I read why Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie say they won’t be tying the knot anytime soon.
In an interview in the current issue of Esquire magazine, Brad said he and Angelina won’t consider getting married until - quote - “everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able.”
Obviously, Brad is trying to be a social activist and make a point about dropping the restrictions on who is allowed to get married and who isn’t in this country. Or at least that’s what he wants people to think. Maybe he’s just come up with an excellent way to stay a bachelor.
It makes him look really concerned about the plight of other people. Yet at the same time, he doesn’t have to get married. This guy is smarter than I thought.

I can see Madonna hating AJ. After all, she is only capable of having friendships with women who won’t usurp her turf a la Rosie O’Donnell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Stella McCartney (I think she’s a friend), etc. IMO, it’s impossible for powerful, yet grasping, women to be friends with peers. For example, Bette Davis was tight with Olivia de Havilland because they respresent opposite types on-screen, therefore, there is no competition.
Angelina Jolie is an actress; Madonna has no hopes of becoming one. AJ is seen as a wildchild, whose evolutions are seamless; the personas that Madonna adopts are like the features on Mr. Potato Head; they’re snap ons and not very authentic. AJ is younger; Madonna isn’t getting any younger. AJ are on relatively good terms with her exes; Madonna’s exes hope that the public has suppressed the memories of the temporary coupling. When AJ talked about her sexuality, it was about honesty and feeling; for Madonna, shock value. AJ has unrealized potential; Madonna continue to recycle the same tired tricks.
Most importantly, AJ doesn’t adopt artistic pretense when she is criticised for a decision she made. She owns up to it and presses ahead. And the things she does can be done by anyone, like traveling the world, participating in charities, getting a pilot’s license; it’s only perceived as amazing or as posturing to those who are afraid to attempt or consider their possibilities. Madonna makes everything she says and does a statement; she’s a poser and she’s pretty damn tired, IMO. She acts like she invented the wheel. So nobody should feel bad if Madonna hates AJ. What has AJ lost, really? Warmth? A fresh perspective? Steadfast loyalty?
Doubtful!!!
And if Jenny S. is to be believed, maybe Madonna was jealous because Jenny prefers AJ, not that it’s a seal of approval.

Angelena Jolie and Brad Pitt all set to visit Pune for shooting of the film – ‘Might Heart’
The city of Pune is all set to host to two high profile international celebrities - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt — who are scheduled to arrive in the city to shoot a film based on the life of slain American journalist — Daniel Pearl.
Both the actors are expected in Pune to start the shoot of the film “Mighty Heart”, the story of a journalist — Daniel Pearl, who was beheaded in 2002 in Pakistan, while he was probing the 9/11 trade tower bombings. The film is based on the memoirs of his wife Marian Pearl and trails the journey and the tribulation faced by the couple.
‘Mighty Heart’ is written by Marian Pearl, wife of Daniel Pearl.
There has been intense speculation over the last few days about where Pitt and Jolie will be staying while in Pune. According to sources, the duo will either reside at a sprawling 30,000 sq ft farmhouse in Baner in West Pune or will put up at hotel Le Meridian.
Interestingly, the film crew, which arrived today (Oct 4) is also put up in Le Meridian. Even though the Bungalow owner refuses to confirm the same, according to the grapewine, the Bungalow would be the preferred choice since among other amenities, it has on location helipad and also would provide paparazzi’s favourite couple, the much-needed privacy.
While their place of stay might be shrouded in secrecy, the people of Pune have their own take on hosting the couple. People of Pune were of the opinion that it was great that international celebrities were coming to the city and that something exciting was happening in the sleepy old city.
Also starring in the film is Indian actor Irfan Khan. In the wake of Khan being refused a visa to Pakistan, Pune was chosen as the destination for the shoot. Moreover, the fact that the city bears a resemblance to Karachi and Islamabad, where the films events actually unfolded, made Pune, a preferred choice for the shoot.

I’ve got too people who might be crazy enough to take X on and who’s career’s are already in the crapper, so they have nothing to lose - Brian DePalma and Joe Esterzhaus (sp?). And if you really wanted to get silly you could throw in Francis Ford Coppola. Then again…there’s always Mel Gibson. His Mrs. will never divorce his ass, but X has already committed adultry in her own marriage, so she won’t be too concerned about Mel’s…especially if it keeps her name in the tabs.
