I know a lot of men who are perfectly happy being single. They have every excuse in the world why they’re not ready to get married.I thought I had heard everything until I read why Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie say they won’t be tying the knot anytime soon.
In an interview in the current issue of Esquire magazine, Brad said he and Angelina won’t consider getting married until - quote - “everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able.”
Obviously, Brad is trying to be a social activist and make a point about dropping the restrictions on who is allowed to get married and who isn’t in this country. Or at least that’s what he wants people to think. Maybe he’s just come up with an excellent way to stay a bachelor.
It makes him look really concerned about the plight of other people. Yet at the same time, he doesn’t have to get married. This guy is smarter than I thought.

Movie actor BILLY BOB THORNTON had a tough time convincing his ex-wife ANGELINA JOLIE he had to film a raunchy sex scene with HALLE BERRY in MONSTER’S BALL.
Five-times married Thornton, who divorced his most recent wife Jolie in May 2003, claims it’s harder for a Hollywood couple to stay together when acting roles frequently call for onscreen nudity and love-making.

That could be CHM. He is pretty booked up for the next 6-8 months, but he really has only done 1 big promo for Babel and a bunch of small interviews that have been LA-based. He could’ve talked about AOJJ at the same time. At this point he’s a hot interview to get, so if he had 2 movies to promote then media outlets would be even more accomodating.
Still, if the issue is being able to promote, his schedule is pretty full - he had O13 to shoot, Babel to promot, AMH to produce, a trip to India and other places to shoot the movie, come back home for the holidays, head to NO in January to shoot Benjamin Button for 3 months, rumors have Angie possibly doing Sin City 2 (still) which starts in Jan…so yeah…he’d definitely have problems promoting AOJJ if he needed to travel a lot to do it.
No, PT, not Quentin T. As talented as he is, he still wouldn’t know what to do with X. He probably likes women of Uma’s caliber.

Thats odd. Ive never read Angelina having those feelings before. But then again it was at the end of their marriage and he was already being accused of cheating on her.
In regards to TMZ. They have stuck it to Jen before. One was the poll about Jen being responsible for her own mysery in regards to her acting like a baby over all the “unwanted attention”from the paps at Sundance. Which annoyed her co star Joan Cusack. The other was how Brad friends were reporting the old happy go lucky Brad was back since his AJ hookup and JA split. Other than that they have not said a word against her.
There is no release date for TAOJJ yet. They’re saying winter 2007, which would be early next year, not late next year.
Also, they moved it back, not because the movie is bad, but due to Brad’s schedule. He’s got a full plate.
TAOJJ is getting rather good buzz within the industry.

A couple of things - first of all…I was being…I thought…funny with the Videoville comment…once again…I crack myself up, but maybe it lost something without an emoticon…
Second…”Winter 2007″ is like cider and vinegar…it just depends on if you like cider or not. I consider this coming winter to be “Winter 2006″ and winter that starts NEXT DEC as “Winter 2007″. Is this not the general consensus on how the winter seasons are viewed? I thought maybe it was just me but I went back and read the posts on Bradforums.net and a lot of people there also thought they meant Dec 2007 because they were complaining about having to wait 16 months to see the movie (this info was posted in May).
And for the record, there were several posts that the movie is supposed to be very good, the test audiences loved the movie but hated the poster because Brad has a beard covering his pretty face…

WHEN he dumped everybody’s favourite Friend and went off with his S&M-loving, twice divorced co-star, Hollywood feared the worst for Brad Pitt.
As with Tom Cruise’s recent career meltdown, they thought his good guy image would be tarnished for ever.
But following a tumultuous couple of years - in which his four-year marriage to Jennifer Aniston ended and he had a baby with Angelina Jolie - he has emerged triumphant.

Today, the lurid headlines are behind him. And the Hollywood hunk who has dated some of cinema’s most glamorous stars - Juliette Lewis, Robin Givens and Gwyneth Paltrow - is now a contented father-of-three with designs on extending his brood.
In his first major interview with a British newspaper since the split with Aniston, 42-year-old Brad admits he is a very different person to the man who once revelled in the spotlight.
“The change has been immense,” he says, thoughtfully. “I’ve become a father, turned 40, and I’ve become more clear on the direction that I’d like to take and the things that speak to me.
“In my younger days I was more of a drifter. I’d try many things - I’d try anything. But now there’s a real pride in understanding myself and what’s important to me and my own values.”
Four months ago, he became a father for the first time when Angelina - whom he fell for when they made the 2005 comedy thriller Mr And Mrs Smith - gave birth to their daughter Shiloh. The couple also have two adopted children, Maddox, five, and 14-month-old Zahara.
Far from complicating things, he believes that becoming a dad has made his life run much more smoothly.
“It makes you more efficient because you do everything faster,” grins Brad. “There’s no time for messing around.
“I still value the work I do, but at the same time I value more getting home to the kids. It somehow makes my work mean more because I know somewhere down the road that my kids will see it. That is the way I approach everything now.
“Maybe it was turning 40 as well. There were certain things I wanted to attack and it seems to work. I go back to the kids and it just makes me more efficient and I get the things done that I like to get done, whereas before I probably meandered and drifted more.”
His love for his children is matched by his passion for football. Fired up by the World Cup, The Ocean’s 11 star wants more kids - so he can have his own Pitt’s 11 team.
“I’m not joking around,” he says. “I have three kids now and next year I’ll have six. Nine. We’re looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup.”
HE has already enrolled Cambodian-born Maddox at the David Beckham Soccer Academy in Los Angeles.
And if Becks’s Real Madrid contract is not renewed, he would like him to give Maddox one-on-one coaching.
“It was an amazing World Cup this year,” he enthuses. “It was so exciting and it’s a great unifier. It’s such a great sport - a true world sport.”
Today, chatting in the suite of a Beverly Hills hotel, he looks relaxed and happy, despite the late-night feeds and nappy changes that come with parenthood. He is clearly content with his private life. And he is also still a major player in Hollywood - his most recent successes being Ocean’s Eleven and its sequels.
He is also tipped to be nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Babel, in which he plays an American dad in Morocco with his wife, whose lives are shattered by a stray bullet.
It was filmed on location in a remote area of the desert - one of the bonuses being that nobody knew who he was.
“They hadn’t a clue,” he says with a grateful grin. “We’d have to drive an hour to get to this little village in the middle of what looked like a lunar landscape and they had no electricity.
“We ran a line in for the film and were able to leave it there afterwards so they could have things like lights at night, which I thought was nice.
“The film has four stories woven together. The base issue is equality, that we’re all the same and that maybe it’s our language that separates us, or lack of understanding, or lack of the will to understand each other.”
He has twice been named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, but talking to Brad it is clear he keeps his feet on the ground. He knows just how far he has come from his roots in Springfield, Missouri.
After doing a journalism degree and considering a career in advertising he headed to California and studied acting while doing odd jobs, including delivering fridges, to support himself.
He got his big break as a hitchhiking charmer in 1991’s Thelma And Louise, but he has not relied on his looks to win parts. His characters in Kalifornia, Twelve Monkeys, Snatch and Fight Club are little short of grotesque.
Today, behind the film star facade you can sense a down-to-earth man who is trying hard to live a normal life amid the madness surrounding him. “It’s a minefield… a huge trap,” admits Brad. “I’m put on this pedestal and I have to be careful I don’t start buying into the image.
WE are treated as something special and it’s easy to start thinking you really are special. It may work for a career but it’s a dead-end personally.”
Like Angelina, he has learned to make good use of his celebrity status to promote the charitable causes close to his heart, such as fighting poverty and hunger in the Third World.
“It helps because there’s an automatic spotlight on us and it’s hard to get out of that spotlight,” he says.
“It occurred to me a couple of years ago that there were so many people in need, and so many stories that needed to get out, that maybe I could be a conduit in that way.
“It’s been a great help and opened many doors. And we have access to meeting a lot of great minds who can give us a very informed education.
“But it’s important that if you take on something you must stick with it because Hollywood is known for being flighty. If you don’t then you can do more harm than good because you can cause people to turn away.”
Namibia, where Shiloh was born, is one of the places to benefit from the couple’s work.
“I’ll tell you a funny story,” he chuckles. “I was told that at a meeting of the African Union the Namibian Minister Of Tourism was asking South Africa how to benefit from tourism because people didn’t go there.
“Two months later we went there, so we may have ruined a good thing. But we were searching for somewhere where we could bring our child into the world and have some semblance of privacy for ourselves and our kids.
“Shiloh was given a Namibian passport and that will bring us back there. At the same time we can invest in the place - a place that Angie had fallen in love with - and help a little bit with their programmes.”
Intelligent, articulate, witty and compassionate - who could ever have thought that Brad was the Pitts?

IF it’s true, I can see how that would be the case. Madonna likes nothing better than to be IN CONTROL and the CENTER OF ATTENTION. With Angie she’s got a woman who’s her equal when it comes to walking into a joint and owning the place. It’s jealousy, pure and simple. Plus, time is on Angie’s side. She’s 17 years younger than Madge…she’s got entree into a world of power and politics and a connection to world leaders that Madge would **** a brick to have. Angie’s got the power elite in the WORLD singing her praises for her humantarian work and young actresses and entertainers who USED TO cite Madonna as a source of inspiration are now being quoted as saying the woman they admire is Angelina Jolie, mother, humanitarian, actress and sex goddess. Even in her heyday, Madonna who thought she was THE MOST SEXUAL woman every born, didn’t have women all around the world saying, “I’d go lesbo for her.” or “I’d do her.” That has got to kill someone as egocentric as Madonna.
And bear in mind that her hubby is good friends with Brad and therefore she knows X. X is someone Madonna could crush and control without doing much more than looking at her cross-eyed. That **** ain’t going to fly with Angelina. Angie would simply arch an eyebrow and tell her where to get off.
Then you also have to consider that Madge recently learned that once upon a time she was sharing a lover with Angie. That has to stick her her craw, too. Especially since Angie was the one who stood up and openly admitted to having a lesbian affair and doesn’t give a **** what people think about it. And yet in all these years Madonna, who prides herself on shocking people, has never had the guts to do it. She’s intimated that she has and she’s played coy about it…but she’s never come right out and said, “I have had lesbian relationships with Sandra Bernhard, Ingrid Chavez, and Jenny Shimizu.” It probably pissed her off royally to find out that Jenny Shimizu was actually in love with Angelina and would’ve cut off Madonna if Angie had wanted a serious committed relationship. So all these years later she now finds her hubby has a good friend who’s crazy in love with the one of the few woman on the planet who can go toe-to-toe with Madonna and come out on top.

In my opinion,it would be dumb as hell for Madonna to be hating on Angelina. Main reason being that while it’s true - AJ could go toe to toe with Madonna and smack her back to the big 80’s, then jump through the time warp herself, where she would turn back into a 9 year old, then continue beating Madonna’s ass…
– despite ALL that, AJ’s a sweetheart and doesn’t deserve her ill-will, and it would just be soooo cliche and typical if Madonna had female ego issues over Angelina, it just makes Madge look bad. Angelina would scratch her head at that.

While I know Madge and her good pal Gwynny Paltry, aka ‘Lainey’s best friend,’ have probably dished on Angie…it’s been said that Angie does not partake of gossip, so sure, she wouldn’t fit in with the faux British hens, but I don’t think they’d hate on her just over that.
Paltry is a riddle. Since filming Sky Captain with AJ, I’ve heard and read vastly different things from her — I think it’s quite funny that what she says might have to do with her increasing awareness that Brad and Angelina were together. During Sky Captain (and BBP ‘Before Brad Pitt’ for Angie), Paltrow said of her (paraphrasing as it’s late and I’m too lazy to find the quotes), that she admired Angelina, while being somewhat intimidated because she was a strong woman and a great actress, she has also said she was beautiful…there may be other positive things around…keep in mind, Angie is NOT with Brad at this point….
….BUT THEN, contrast that with her response AFTER BRAD & ANGELINA GOT TOGETHER, to what obviously was a nosy question wanting to get ‘the OTHER BP ex’ on record about Angelina, when the news of their relationship/love story was breaking.
‘I don’t know Angelina at all. But she sure seems intense and captivating.” (that’s almost a DIRECT quote).
To me, that’s a vague back-handed complimented…it implies Brad may be being held captive, and kind of tries to cast an unhealthy obsession more to do with the sexual, and surface emotions. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t think she’s smart enough to have actually planned to say something like this for that effect — I think she’s dumb as a door **** and reacts to things emotionally - not even caring that herewere previous remarks with her commenting on what she thinks she knows about Angelina.
So tell me, how do you go from lavishing praise, and talking to people about what you KNOW about Angelina, only to later on say you don’t know her, and speaking only of what she ’seems’ like??
I mean I could understand if she said the latter first and the former last…as we could presume oh, hey - she’s GOTTEN TO KNOW Angelina, and this is what she thinks NOW…but she actually tried to distance herself from earlier quotes…where she speaks as if she DOES know what she’s like. One word: BUSTED.
I SURE that that ***** has problems seeing Brad with Angie — but I think she’ll always try to cover it, and act cool and nonchalant in an ‘I’m happy for Brad’ phoney ass way even w/ friends and family. LOL
So perhaps seeing as Madge is tight with GP, GP’s uptightness over AJ, may have communicated itself to her.
But like I say, she should reserve judgement (hopefully GP is now a grown up and maybe has gotten over her initial shock at the BP & AJ pairing - so perhaps there was no poisoning against AJ that went on) but Madge also should keep in mind her husband is pals with Brad, and I’m certain Guy would love to do another film with him some day….she wouldn’t want him ‘Zeta Jones Douglased,’ because of her possibly being bitchy about AJ. Because Brad will cut a ***** off cold, if his family is slandered.
Plus, it’s better to embrace AJ than distance herself or not like her — because everyone knows Madge is following Angelina’s lead anyway. Nothing will change that. But even more of a reason? Angelina named Madonna as one of her fav musical idols along with like 3 other peeps can’t recall who.
In a perfect world, Madge would dump GP, and be best pals with Angelina. LOL
This is pure speculation based on Lainey’s comments however, and we ALL know, she can be waaaaay off the mark.

And I too love the “meandering” quote. His friends said the same thing I recall. I think Lainey or someone mentioned it a long time ago. His life simply lost its focus while he was with Aniston. Well he has found it for sure now ! :D
There were a couple of other things they got seriously WRONG in that article too (recent successes being the Ocean movies? Uh, noooo, try MAMS and TROY)…..also, I always hate like hell, how they start off stories regaling what Angelina did when she was younger. You know…don’t look now, but Drew Barrymore, Tom Cruise, and J.Lo are also ‘twice divorced,’ does it have to be brought up in every freakin’ interview some rag does on AJ? Plus, making her out to be this wild thing, and pulling other **** outta the past — it’s just silly, at this point in her life, because Angelina is known worldwide for that which is truly noble and accomplished, if people aren’t lauding her for it, they are yapping about her influence over others, particularly Brad…so why they can’t emphasize THAT part of who she is, speaks to the inherent ‘*****’ in us all. Most people are resentful of other’s happiness, and I think that’s what drives the tendency to smack Angelina at the outset of some stories that appear in the press.
Plus, what I love about their interviews now….and this is important folks — the way they are using the language to indicate their intentions. Somewhere along the line (and I don’t know if they sought advice on this, or came up with it themselves) - they have learned that you can convey a GREAT DEAL without giving up the personal details of your life and intimate relationships.
For instance, Brad could say “Angie is so hot and the best I’ve ever had, she drives me wild”…which I’m sure would hit the press and they’d go crazy over it….OR….he can say things like, “Shiloh was given a Namibian passport, so that will bring US back there, at the same time WE can invest in the place and help a little bit with their programmes.”
See the diff. One comment is salacious and would sell rags and pimp out their PERSONAL relationship.
The other comment however, is more weighty, and even MORE revealing, as it’s the language of permanency and committment. All the ‘we’s’ and ‘us’s’ that we’ve spoken of often here yet coupled with statements re the future, and future plans….Brad is thinking as a family unit, and even better he is speaking of where they see themselves down the line (coming back as Shiloh, a namibian citizen, grows up — along with the rest of the family). He is telling you with THIS language, that they have made plans for their family’s future. He is telling you, he is telling us - this is for keeps.
All of that and more is inferred and implied (and hell, just ’stated’ - he SAYS IT!)…and THAT my dear BAMZSies, is always better than the salacious and silly that passes for information from most stars today.
