Brad & Angelina Arrive in Pune

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are said to have arrived in Pune, India for the shooting of The Might Heart, a film about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by Muslim extremists in Pakistan. The Might Heart will be co-produced by Pitt’s production company and Angelina will star as Pearl’s wife, Mariane.

Airport sources claim that the Jolie-Pitt family arrived today at Pune International Airport at about 3pm by chartered plane and then drove in two cars to Le Meridien Hotel. Says one source: “First they went to Mumbai and from there they took a flight to Pune. They have just reached the Pune airport and arrangements are being made to take them to their destination.” Can’t wait for the pictures!

UPDATE :: Brad wants more kids with Angelina according to this exclusive interview:

“I’m not joking around. I have three kids now and next year I’ll have six. Nine. We’re looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup… The change has been immense. I’ve become a father, turned 40, and I’ve become more clear on the direction that I’d like to take and the things that speak to me. In my younger days I was more of a drifter. I’d try many things - I’d try anything. But now there’s a real pride in understanding myself and what’s important to me and my own values… It makes you more efficient because you do everything faster. There’s no time for messing around. I still value the work I do, but at the same time I value more getting home to the kids. It somehow makes my work mean more because I know somewhere down the road that my kids will see it. That is the way I approach everything now. Maybe it was turning 40 as well. There were certain things I wanted to attack and it seems to work. I go back to the kids and it just makes me more efficient and I get the things done that I like to get done, whereas before I probably meandered and drifted more.”

Ritzygal dropped by some posts back, trying to stir controversy, but was totally ignore. Congratulations, BAMZS fans. I am so proud of all of us.
I just read the L&S scans at that Sammieblog. All the things they say in that article, we have already discussed them here on JJ. They are like 3 months behind. No, make it 7 months behind.

I totally agree with you. Who’s to say this person is not
Ritzygal=CLAPCLAP=watch out now=One Sick Puppy?
Just my own opinion and nobody else’s, In the not so distant
past I use to believe in the solidarity of Black people all over the
globe no matter what shade or mixture they are. I.E. if you
have any trace of African blood then you should stand up and
be counted as of African origin/Black. But recently I come to
realize that a lot of how I viewed this issue is in the context of
living in the US and historic racial relations that exist here. In
this country, for the most part, if you have any recognizable
African blood then you are considered Black. This was a way of
Anglo citizens during slave times of separating themselves
from the Black population while at the same time suppressing
equality of the races. Although we have had many names
Negro/Coloured/Black/African Americans we were really not
given a choice of how we defined ourselves. Don’t get me
wrong, this is neither good or bad, it simply is. Or I should say
was. Right now there are a lot of multi-racial people not
following the same old program scripted by history of defining
yourself as one thing or the other. They are not letting other
people define who they are. They are deciding for themselves.
Although I will always consider myself mainly African American I
can understand if others won’t let someone else pin them to
this race or that. They have a right to claim all if they want. I
myself could easily claim my 1/4 Native American heritage or
my smaller Irish or French heritage. At this point in time,
where the cause of conflict is how people view themselves as
different from their fellow man, (Hutu/Tutsi,Jew/Muslims,Black/
White) our main focus should be to break down these false
barriers that keep us separated and always in conflict.

For people concerned about casting when someone’s ethnicity is
not exactly the same as the character they are playing, are they
upset that James Caan was in teh Godfather but has not an
ounce of Italian blood?
What about John Travolta playing Italian in Saturday Night Fever
and on Welcome Back Kotter, when his blue eyes betray the fact
that he is more Irish than Italian?

It’s just more of the same — try to find something, ANYTHING, to
criticize these people for, and since there is less and less to find,
they come up wth more and more ridiculous ideas.

When one of the Jenny fans say something like you BLACKS. don’t get upset. you act as if you don’t get it. Tavis says BLACK FOLK not BLACKS. using BLACKS alone is offensive, you should not let your non white friends think that saying that is agood and proper thing. Read post#350.

Re: #480 Passing Through
Thanks PT, didn’t know that Kidi was anonie mouse. Must have missed that.
Kidi: if you read this, every now and then give us another sampling of anonie mouse…what a kinky character…she always made my day.

477 |How dare you use my name? I guess I hit a nerve, eh? How very un-original of you.

487 | Me too | I agree and understand. How lonely, sad, pathetic, neurotic, schizophrenic does one have to be….with all of their friends and active lifestyle, they still come here to fight with us? Something is wrong with that picture.

Travolta was Irish??/ I thought he WAS Italian! I wonder what Pitt is. I’m always curious about what people’s ethnic backgrounds are, whether they’re pure bred Americans or not. I know some Americans dont like that question for some reason because they’re not raised to know these things or care or its not of importance. It’s not a bad question.

As far as Angelina playing Marianne, maybe Marianne wanted jOlie to play her and asked.
