Brad & Angelina Arrive in Pune

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are said to have arrived in Pune, India for the shooting of The Might Heart, a film about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by Muslim extremists in Pakistan. The Might Heart will be co-produced by Pitt’s production company and Angelina will star as Pearl’s wife, Mariane.

Airport sources claim that the Jolie-Pitt family arrived today at Pune International Airport at about 3pm by chartered plane and then drove in two cars to Le Meridien Hotel. Says one source: “First they went to Mumbai and from there they took a flight to Pune. They have just reached the Pune airport and arrangements are being made to take them to their destination.” Can’t wait for the pictures!

UPDATE :: Brad wants more kids with Angelina according to this exclusive interview:

“I’m not joking around. I have three kids now and next year I’ll have six. Nine. We’re looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup… The change has been immense. I’ve become a father, turned 40, and I’ve become more clear on the direction that I’d like to take and the things that speak to me. In my younger days I was more of a drifter. I’d try many things - I’d try anything. But now there’s a real pride in understanding myself and what’s important to me and my own values… It makes you more efficient because you do everything faster. There’s no time for messing around. I still value the work I do, but at the same time I value more getting home to the kids. It somehow makes my work mean more because I know somewhere down the road that my kids will see it. That is the way I approach everything now. Maybe it was turning 40 as well. There were certain things I wanted to attack and it seems to work. I go back to the kids and it just makes me more efficient and I get the things done that I like to get done, whereas before I probably meandered and drifted more.”

Thank you for your post. ITA. People need to let it go and stop trying to label this woman “black” Why doesnt anyone bother to talk to the woman. Ask her why she chose Angelina? Or better yet ask her how she sees herself, what label she would use to describe herself. Instead of taking your personal opinions and pinning it to her like she is some victim of HW casting. She did not have to choose Angelina. She thought she was the right person for the role. She said she admires her a great deal and is right to play her. She said so when the filming was announced.

End of story.

So take the Dr King played by a white person comments and go to some other site where that nonsense makes some sense.

Totally agree Jenny89. I mean, if I went to Puerto Rico today, I’m sure 90% of the people there would appear to have some African lineage, I wouldn’t go around calling them ‘black,’ if that’s not what they call themselves.

I think Rosie Perez looks just as black as Mary J Blige, but if she doesn’t call herself ‘black,’ why am I gonna waste my time recruiting her?? I don’t need the b**tch to say she’s black. Not taht I’m picking on Rosie, I don’t know what she calls herself - I’m just sayin’…..LOL

LMAO PT, ‘Hell to the No.’

122 | COLD HARD MATH | - Thanks CHM for the Yankees update

121 | mamadog | Hey mamadog !I know we are all just so antsy to see pics of them in India, well they will show up in a day or two. How have you been?
BTW-I know Angel is going to do a wonderful job portraying M. Pearl. They really became close friends over several years, their sons are friends and the same age. Remember MP was in Namibia with her son visiting them. MP knows who she can trust to tell her story. IMHO that’s all that counts, this is her and her sons tragedy….

Halle Berry has just signed on to star in Class Act for Dreamworks. The film tells the real-life story of Tierney Cahill.

Cahill is a teacher from Reno, Nev., who took a challenge from her sixth-grade students to run for Congress in the 2000 elections on the condition that they would help run her campaign. The single mother ultimately lost her bid to an incumbent, but she ended up winning 35% of the popular vote.

The real Cahill, is a white woman. Producers felt that it was best to hire an actress they felt could play the role rather than find an actress that looked like Cahill.

Production starts in May

Hi again, Guli! What does it mean when a comment reads “Your comment is awaiting moderation”? LOL. I’m doing well, thanks! I don’t post to often–you know the story; works full-time, teen-age son, sick mom in nursing home, blah, blah, blah. I’ll try to post again later — gotta run to a noon time meeting here at work!

| Well I guess we should just get a white guy to play Martin Luther
King Jr. for the next movie about him? Halle Berry is much better
suited for this role and this move will bomb because of the
miscasting, not to mention the depressing topic.

Don’t worry
about Halle, she has a new gig!!

#74 Good riddance~If the white guy has a dream and is talented, its cool with me. Let him play Martin L. King.
Peace~

135 | mamadog | NO you don’t have to post again. I have gotten that message several times, it was usually because I was trying to give more than one link, don’t worry about it , it will show up very soon :-) Nice to talk to you again, how is your mom and sons? Just hang in there :-)

134 | Lady Lurk-thank for posting the article. Now, lets wait and see if anyone would jump on Halle throat for that role?….no? noone?….well then… :)

Guli, glad to hear that Korey is doing well and back to solid foods. Poor guy, but he has a great mom. Lucky guy for sure.

132 | gitane

Isn’t that great? I was feeling Halle the past couple of days and didn’t know why. So I was posting about her here and other places and now bam! I doubt we will get hundreds of posts about her being cast in this. oh well. A new casting trend has begun.

I like how all the other Oscar winners play characters but Angelina play characters that are as powerful and strong as herself. It is like she is on equal level with these characters that she is playing, you know what I mean….

130 | Missouri Fan …thanks ate char…

140 | guli ….also glad to hear that big Korey is now eating proper food… did he returned your industrial blender??? heheheh

142 | Estelle | Thanks Estelle, now I really can take a deep breath and have fun here on my spare time with my wonderful BAMZSville cyber-friends

Maybe someday Ellena will join us again, I sure hope so or at least at the YG .

Hey MF, I found this for you, I’m sure it will bring a smile to your face. All your motivational words paid off.

The top 14 international celebrity humanitarians

Results of Hello! Canada’s exclusive global poll are revealed in the issue hitting newsstands starting today

One big-hearted Canadian makes the list

TORONTO, Oct. 5 - From the first star-studded AIDS fundraising dinner hosted by Elizabeth Taylor to the current humanitarian efforts of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, celebrity philanthropy has gone far beyond the concept of reaching into one’s pocket.

This is the age of participation, and with that in mind, Hello! Canada conducted an online poll over a two-month period to find out who Hello! readers - in Canada and all over the world - felt were the most admirable celebrity humanitarians.

This week, Hello! readers will be given a glimpse into the charity work of the 14 stars they voted the most generous, with a 13-page photo spread of these celebs in action.

The top spot goes to celebrity duo Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who can be credited with humanizing the plight of Africa’s many poor countries.

Anyone who suggests pop stars can’t change the world need only glance at the record of Bono, in the No. 2 spot, who has been recognized for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Composer, singer, author and actor Sting takes the No. 3
spot for his various contributions to charity, including his dedication to the environment.

Other names on the list include Oprah Winfrey, Bill and Melinda Gates, Sir Elton John and, of course, our very own Bryan Adams, who placed No. 11 for his involvement in innumerable charitable organizations.

This year, he became the first Western artist to perform in Karachi, Pakistan, with a benefit concert to help underprivileged children.

The complete list of winners can be found in the issue of Hello! magazine hitting newsstands this week.

Guys~ You know what? **** all of the idiots that are talking this black this, black that bull. Black people are not angry about Angie doing the M/P~D/P story. most of us are smart and intelligent enough to understand that we don’t own people because they re multi- racial. If Halle Berry decided to claim her white heritage some of us would lose our damn mine and hate her forever. You give Tiger Woods all kind of **** because he wont claim one race. you hate the boy because he want say he is black, have you ever seen his mom? she is not black. his dad is black.
Go fine some real injustices to ***** about ,Darfur is a good place to start. Shut up already and stop trying to start **** over nothing.
Peace~

146 | guli- that will be great.
