OlderJoaquin Phoenix Shoots ‘Reservation Road’
Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly were spotted shooting opening scenes this past Tuesday, Oct. 3, for their upcoming film, Reservation Road. Joaquin, 31, and Jennifer, 35, play the characters of Mr. & Mrs. Ethan and Grace Learner and shot scenes at the Olde Bluebird Inn and Olde Bluebird Garage in Easton, CT. 8-year-old Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning’s younger sister, will also star in this film (see picture of Elle on set). Reservation Road is about two families (Learner and Arno) becomes intertwined when the father from one kills the son of the other in a hit-and-run accident. The film will be directed by Terry George (Hotel Rwanda) and also stars Mark Ruffalo (Dwight Arno) and Mira Sorvino.

LOVE Joaquin! Not a fan of the beard, though. I suppose its for his character.
Joaquin of the most adorable people in the industry today, and I don’t think it need be mentioned that Jennifer is so beautiful and talented. I wonder if Paul was hanging around set with the kids!

We’ve been on the set with Phoenix and Connelly for three days. They look really dramatic and convincing. We can hear Connelly’s beautiful screaming in a clear voice for a long distance, and Phoenix’s cries of “Get an ambulance!” are scary and real. Having seen the real thing, the movie will be a real treat!
I love the both of them…gonna be a good movie.
I have a problem picturing him in any way but as Johnny Cash. His acting is brilliant and I know it will be a great movie.

Joaquin has a scar not a harelip.
Joaquín’s scar is called a microform cleft lip, not a hare lip, which is a term considered quite inappropriate. The microform is a rarity and almost a miracle of nature, open tissues on the upper lip that will become a cleft lip just get together spontaneously before birth, leaving the scar. I know this because I have exactly the same scar in the same place, which is uncommon in a woman but I have it. Let’s not consider Joaquín’s scar as something that should be hidden but as a characteristic that makes him unique, a true example of the diversity in human beings. Saludos desde México para todos.

Very interested in seeing Ruffalo and Phoenix in the same film. Love Ruffalo abilities and attributes not as familiar with Phoenix’s abilities except in Walk the Line. Like that the two are together since Ruffalo’s tumor surgery & recovery meant he had to drop out of Signs and Phoenix then stepped in to that part. Pictures of Mark Ruffalo too,please!!!

I was lucky enough to meet Joaquin yesterday while fiming in Stamford. He was gracious & posed for a pic with me & signed an autograph. He is the sweetest & nicest guy. Seeing those gorgeous eyes in person …oh my!!!!
It´s so good to know there´s a new film coming with Joaquin. He is such a great actor and I really enjoy his work. And “Inventing The Abbotts” is one of the sweetest films ever done. Joaquin should win an Oscar for this roll. I know, I know the movie isn’t even done yet, but dang, they have overlooked him for way to long. He got snubbed for Walk the Line, maybe the “Industry” will wake up this time. Thanks for the pics, they are great.

Can’t wait to see this one! A great cast…. Joaquin Phoenix who is ADORABLE AND HOTTER than ever and love his movies, Jennifer Connelly (she was especially great in a Beautiful Mind) and the other great actors !! Wow! I look forward to reading the book as well. I think it will be a winner like Walk the Line!! A long time to wait until next year to see it but I am really looking forward to seeing another Joaquin Phoenix movie!
