Did anybody see the photos of the hotel in India? Gorgeous. It’s on x17online.com under the title “Gwyneth Paltrow in India 6 motnhs”. Don’t know why they did that, but they’ve been doing that in other ways too, like “that place” under Kate Hudson’s papz photos.

That’s a common thing in India. They treat their guests with utmost respect and in India most celebrities have a person that usually carries things around for them. Now you may think, what kind of job is it to hold a umbrella for someone, but in a country with one billion people, people happily to take such jobs because atleast it means they can earn a living and feed their families. It’s better than sitting on a street and beg for money. Most households in India also have servants and drivers for their cars. Most middle - class families can afford them and it’s a way to provide jobs for those who need to earn a living but don’t have an education or any degrees.

Well, actually you don’t have to be rich and you don’t have to be in a hotel. It happens alot.

Brad I’m so glad you and the kids are with Angel Angelina in India. Being in India can be a spiritual experience, but you won’t realize it until you come back to America. I suffered from serious homesickness when I went to india my first week at the age of 14, but no sickness. Just jetlag. But India is a whole different experience (especially depending in what city, village or state you’re staying at) than anywhere else. You have to be understanding to people. They may act differently, but they give you the utmost respect, even if you don’t ask for it. Visiting the city areas is not really a spiritual experience. But when you go to the village areas, and no it’s not so bad, you will leave feeling like a whole new person. If you stay in the urban areas in India, you’re really not experiencing the best parts of iNdia. And when you see the children and women, they peak at you and when you glance at them they all start giggling. The children in India are the best part.

This is a FREE blog space - if someone wants to rant about Aniston I say go for it, more power to ya. Not to mention it can generate some good laughs.

I wonder if they’ll visit other areas of india, if not now, but later whenever they can. You have to let go of your prejudices when you go to india. Only then will you enjoy it.

Heck, no, he didn’t follow X to her low-rent movie sets, and she certainly hardly ever went to his, despite the fact that he was filming in some killer romantic locales….X is so afriad to fly she couldn;t even FORCE herself to go and see her hubby. They spent weeks and months apart, and she seemed ok with it.

Oh, I just saw the photo where brad and Angie are near the motorcycles. In India, using a motorbike is the norm. YOU EVEN SEE OLD INDIAN WOMEN IN THEIR SAREES ON THE MOTORBIKES BEHIND SOME GUY DRIVING IT. Sounds funny, but it’s so normal, you’d be like whatever if you saw it. Everywhere you go you see people driving motorcycles or motorbikes. The guys there in India probably heard about how Brad likes motorcycles and are showing them off to Brad to see if he, Angie and Mickey would like them.

Awwww..they rode an autorickshaw..let me tell you those things are small so you have to kind of huddle together. So cute. Brad and Angelina probably had to sit very close together to prevent getting splashed by the rain. It’s really romanitc to ride one in the rain…of course the the streets are very loud because people are not afraid to honk their horns…

#28: regarding the umbrella carriers…that is not only common in India but in other Asian countries. In the Philippines, you’d be surprised at a celebrity’s entourage or as Stardust has said, among upper and middle class families.

There are people who will fan you as you sit, hold your umbrella or purse as you walk. That is the culture. Some schoolkids don’t even carry their books or bags and have their nanny on standby at school so they can be fed when lunch comes…and I’m not talking about kindergarten kids either.

Get used to more pics or demonstrations of helpful gestures from the natives. It’s a matter of pride for any host country to show their hospitality and their appreciation for their visit.

Umm… I’m from America, so unfortunately I am a little ignorant about India (my parents’ fault for “Americanizing” me). But looks like Stardust would know! LOL

There are SO many different cities/states/villages in India. Not even my own parents from India could tell you about Pune probably (or maybe they could). Each city or state or village has it’s own culture. I only know about the popular places. Pune, I was not aware much about. They turned the name “Bombay” into Mumbai YEARS ago. It was always “Mumbai” though… I think… (stardust?). But “Bombay” was the name given by the british. India wanted to change that (sorry BRITS, but ya know we love ya! lol….)

I just learned about Mumbai/Bombay today on NPR! I forget what they were talking about, but, I hadn’t known Mumbai was Bombay! You can tell someone’s age by what they “think” a city/state is called these days. Oh yeah, they were talking about Hindu/Muslim terrorism. I sure hope Mickey is with them. Sure looked like him to me! While no doubt safer than Pakistan, India is having it’s own struggles too. WTH is wrong with people in the world today?

Cops cry foul as Jolie-Pitt arrival not reported to FRO

Pune, October 6: TWENTY-four hours after Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt landed in Pune on Thursday to shoot A Mighty Heart, Le Meridien, the hotel where they are put up, appears to be in trouble for failing to report their arrival to the Foreigners’ Registration Office at the police commissionerate.

The Foreigners’ Act of 1946 and Foreigners (Report to Police) orders of 1971 and 1992 make it mandatory for hotels to report the arrival of foreigners within 24 hours.

Jolie, Pitt, their three children and a nanny landed in Pune around 3 pm on Thursday.

Assistant commissioner of police (Special Branch) S N Bhoomkar on Friday afternoon said, ‘‘The report called ‘C Form’ has not been submitted to the FRO within 24 hours from their arrival,’’ he said.

Police teams on Friday went to several city hotels including Le Meridien and Taj Blue Diamond to find out whether the celebrity couple were staying with them. ‘‘No hotels told the FRO officials about presence of the stars,’’ said Bhoomkar, adding,‘‘ if we find out that they have been provided accommodation without complying with the law, action would be taken against the guilty,’’ Bhoomkar said. Le Meridien general manager Jaswinder Narang said, ‘‘I do not know whether the hotel has informed the FRO about the arrival of the couple nor do I know if the FRO officials had approached the hotel asking whether Jolie and Pitt were staying here.’’

Guli - Yes, Aron knows about JJ. He tried to get on and post on it the other day. He was laughing and carrying on. I begged him to leave and not to do it. I think he was getting ready to say something embarrassing about his mom.

I have to say that the fact that Brad and Angie would spontaneously decide to ride an autorickshaw in the middle of the rain just to see the city is so refreshing to hear that people $100 million in their bank accounts can still be so down to earth. You would even so some celebs in India do that and even they aren’t worth that much. They never thought it was “below them” to ride in an autorickshaw. Many people when they travel to different countries are not willing to try new things and just end staying in their hotels caged up or only travel in a car. Well…that’s no way to see a country like India. You have to get out there and just go. Very cool to see that Brad and Angie are still humbled by their surroundings and never have any airs..even when it comes to traveling with their entourage of bodygaurds.

They mention that she is keeping score with Brad. That she sees how “blissful” he is with Angelina and a father as well. That it looks like she is the rebound girl- remember she told Ell she didnt want to be that- and that “jealousy” has crept in- as if it was not there before lol! - over Brad’s happiness and her failure in love and life. As for Courtney Cox and her hubby David. I think her friends live their lives but she doesnt. The common factor in their friendship with her is that she is the most needy of them all. They guide her not the other way around.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the world’s most ambushed glam couple, has not only made monkey of the media but also milked it in style with a pricey ploy: they will themselves provide pictures if the media pays out big bucks to fund charities of their choice.
In the most recent instance, the firm of Jolie and Pitt sold the first pictures of their new-born daughter Shiloh to People magazine (from the CNN-Time stable) for a staggering $ 4.1 million (about Rs 16 crores).
The magazine Hello! Won British rights for the pix for $ 3.5 million, while other some other bids brought the total close to $ 10 million (Rs 45 crores), making it the most expensive celebrity pix of all time.
Many hopefuls such as celebrity publications OK! magazine, Us Weekly , and the tabloid National Enquirer (which had paid an undisclosed seven figure sum for Michael Jackson’s first child) went home with nothing to show after a bidding war arranged by Getty Images — a brutal all night event that some said was the couple’s revenge on the paparazzi. The two-some have been hounded by the media ever since they became an ‘item’ after the hit action movie Mr and Mrs Smith.
Meanwhile, proceeds from the sale are being given to several charities, with two contributions of $ 1 million each already sent to Global Action for Children and Medecins sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders.
Earlier, the couple had sold pictures of their holiday in Kenya to raise money for other charities, a trend that has also seen Britney Spears sell pix of her first born to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims.

I’m glad you brought that up, b/c I am determined not to dwell on US magazine and this week’s cover girl. Anna Nicole, IMO, is very disgusting. There are some who are trying to justify her behavior because she faced a huge loss a few weeks ago, but I think she is so narcissistic that she hasn’t taken care of her son, ie placing him to rest. She has the time to sell his last pics/her baby pics/her committment ceremony pics, but her son is still in a cooler?

If it was a matter of money, I could understand this. If she was emotionally ill-equipt to take care of it, she could allow her mother or Daniel’s father to take care of it. If she was ill-equipt to deal, then there wouldn’t have been a ceremony or pics sold to tabloids. She is using her son’s death to deflect her suspected machinations in regards to her daughter’s paternity.

She is not right; hell, the ***** was never right, and she’s getting even less right with each passing moment. And is it just me or is it unbelievable tacky for Trim Spa to run those ads, with that ‘Don’t worry, folks… Trim Spa will make sure that Anna Nicole won’t return to her former fatty self…’ tone? People pack on pounds after pregnancies and traumatic events; she’s going through both. But then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s back to her speech-slurring, ***-baring weight. Yeah… the death of a child is just one of those ‘roll off your back’ things…

I think their attorney explained that they’re trying to move on and celebrate dannilynne life. By having this commitment shows they’re alive and focusing on the baby girl.

I didn’t see a mother not grieving but a mother who is trying to be strong for the living. From what the attorney said, they needed to do something to fight the depression for their daughter.

They gave vows, had KFC and then jumped in the ocean like a renewal or rebirth…I’m not going to fault anyone for doing what is needed to put this past and focus on the future.

Unlike normal folks…they don’t have the luxiury with Anna’s ex in the media talking and all the lawsuits they have.

About AN Smith. Not that it’s any of my business, but the whole thing really bothers me. There’s the photographer who is sure the baby is HIS - he’s suing for a paternity test. I think the whole marry the lawyer thing is an attempt to make him go away. I think she doesn’t want to share this child. That is WRONG. I saw the lawyer/husband on Larry King a few days ago, and he sounded stoned! Granted, there may have been a delay in transmission, but he had that lazy tone to his voice. Somewhere I read the methadone her son got a hold of may have been hers. I always felt sorry for him - the kid never had a chance with her for a mother. she’s the anti-Angie.

And, WHAT was with those false eyelashes? They looked like creatures! Maybe it’s just me, but I thought it was incredibly tasteless to marry within a week of a child dying. Focus on the future, fine, but she’s been sedated most of the time since her son died!
