Why is Brad and Angelina’s visit being kept so hush-hush that even the Pune Police came to know about it the day they landed?

After days of speculation, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally arrived in India on Thursday and are now getting ready for shooting of the film A Mighty Heart.

While the shooting will happen in Pune for four-and-a-half-weeks, some scenes will be shot in Mumbai later.

Based on a book by Mariane Pearl, the wife of journalist Daniel Pearl who was killed by Al Qaeda terrorists, the film stars Jolie while Pitt is a co-producer.

According to reports, Pune has been chosen as the location because of its uncanny resemblance to Karachi. Says David Brian, supervising art director of the film, “We chose Pune because of a location in Sindh Society.

Believe me, we had looked at thousands of locations in different parts of South Asia before finalising on this one. This street bears the closest resemblance to the street where Daniel Pearl and his wife Mariane used to stay in Karachi. It has long boundary walls and trees. We have also increased the length of some walls to make it resemble the actual street in Karachi.”

Reports suggest that venue was moved from Karachi because of the sensitive nature of the film’s subject. Even in India, utmost care is being taken of the stars’ security.

The visit was kept hush-hush, with even the police being clueless about when Brad and Angelina were arriving and where they will be staying.

“We are an American-funded British production house. The security arrangement is being directed by the US intelligence agencies who had advised us not to divulge any details to anybody including the police till they have done their part. Now, we have informed the police. There is a huge security blanket that we need and the lesser people know about the shoot, the better it is for us frankly,”explains Brian.

To ensure complete safety, the couple has been put up in a farmhouse. “There have been speculations. We were thinking of putting them up at Hotel Le Meridien. But because of security reasons, we have not done it,”Brian adds. The shooting will commence from next week in Pune.

My thoughts on Vince/Jen break up

1) Everyone thought of Vince and Jen’s break up, thinking , well, it didnt work. So the break up.

2) Has this ever crossed your mind, given Jen’s deception to the public in the past , (her lied to the public about a baby is on the way, when in fact, we saw her smoking cig after cig), could she have also used Vince, stringing him along in order to promote her career or saving her image?

3) It’s ok if Jen and Vince use the media to promote the movie. But what if Vince is NOTpart of this media promotion? What if Vince is really sincere and serious in the relationship? What if it is Jen who is using Vince?

5) Is Jem treating the whole thing as a game, a race, a REVENGE???? Did she use Vince and backfire????

6) Considering the timing of this break up, had Vince been part of the promotion game, he would have waited until the sales of the DVD is finished. But he did NOT. May be he is never part of Jen’s game. And when he found out about this, he called off the whole thing.

Sounds like maybe they just stayed one night. From the description of the farmhouse, it sounds like it will be ideal. A yard for the kids and Brad during the day, and a cozy hideaway for Mama & Daddy J-P at night.
