Angelina Jolie’s Bodyguard Lays The Smackdown
Here are better pictures of Angelina Jolie sitting poolside at Le Meridien Hotel yesterday in Pune, about 200 kilometers southeast of Mumbai, India. Inset: Angelina’s security officer, Mickey Brett, manhandling paparazzi outside of Le Meridien. More pictures in the gallery including a clearer one Baby Zahara points something out to daddy Brad Pitt.
Angelina is in Pune to shoot Micheal Winterbottom’s A Mighty Heart, a film about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by terrorists in Pakistan four years ago. Angelina plays Daniel’s widow Mariane. More pictures in the gallery…

for those of you who have seen The Departed, how would you rate it:
- acting - we all know the actors and what they are capable of . i.e. nicholson. How would you rate the other excerpt nicholson
- direction - I know it is all scorcese but where does the producer come into play. In short, at what point did you say - now THAT is Brad at work! . I want to go tomorrow and savor that moment.
- who was the weakest actor and why

-all the acting was great except the girl. However, her job is just a supporting part so she is ok. If someone else plays her part probably would have been better. Someone like Helen Hunt maybe.
Martin did a great job with the film. Jack and Leo did the best scene. Matt did a great job in that he was a likable bad guy. I laughed through out the film. It was great over all. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again. I think it will be a movie in the league of The Godfather.

Thank you for the link. Did you see the part where the Police Chief of Pune is telling the press they have inputs about opposition to the movie? I don’t really know too much about what is proper in these circumstances, but even I could figure out that the police chief probably doesn’t need to talking and giving out information like that!

I like Nicholson… BTW when haters say Jolie’s Oscar is 8 years
ago, look at him, at the acceptance speach for “As Good As It
Gets”, Nicnolson said he won one Oscar in each decades, some
more than 10 years apart (’Cuckoos’, Terms of E’). Once you are
in the Oscar league, actors get offered better roles than non-
Oscar winning ones.

Dragging poor Jane Pitt into everything — I truly think this is Maniston’s people hard at work - and KNOWING she’s going down courtesy of US, Janice Min, and her own pathetic devices, still trying to attch her as 3rd wheel to Brad & Ange. Thank you gitane! I hadn’t realized Forrest was now going to be in Best Supporting Actor, he is such a good actor and is said to be wonderful in that part. And Jack is always a good bet to win an award. Darn. Well, maybe Brad will have to consider himself lucky if he just gets nominated.

Awwww man, that’s just not right - I really think Forest could take lead actor IF he was nominated in the right category dammit. This should be about more than just getting an Oscar in somebody’s hand…Whittaker’s role is a lead one - I have a feeling though, if he gets nominated for supporting, Brad won’t take the statue home y’all. Damn.

LOL! I’ve come to the conclusion that the Star is just having a little too much fun in continuing on this theme of theirs. I think the person who’s writing this **** is sitting around laughing his ass off as he types it up. He knows it’s utter bullshit and he knows that the editors know and the editors know that the public knows…but…they think it’s what the majority of the public wants to hear, so they keep insisting that Jane Pitt loves X more than her own kid and wants X to be happy at Brad’s expense AND that Jane Pitt doesn’t give two ***** about what she’s doing to her grandkids. Why in the hell they’d think the American public wants a 66 year-old woman to turn on her own son is beyond me.
My other thought is that they persist in it just to piss off the Pitts. Doug Pitt has said on more than one occasion that this is bullshit. Yet the Star persists in printing it. BUT…at least they’ve stopped saying that Brad is building house down the street from his ‘rents!

Dirt”, a drama pilot for the FX network, in which she will play tabloid editor Lucy Spiller. The series will revolve around her world as she orchestrates the fates of the celebrities who fill the papers’ pages.
“Dirt” will also revolve around the
tabloids’ schizophrenic photographer Ian Hart and a struggling actor trying to making a name in the industry. The latter role has not yet been cast.
Production on the pilot is scheduled to begin in March. “
Here’s my take on The Departed: Excellent, excellent movie. I think Nicholson is going to end up in supporting and Leo is going to end up lead. And I completely disagree with all 800 of you (LOL) who think the woman who plays Madolyn (Damon’s girlfriend) was boring. I thought Vera Farmiga was fabulous. She more than held her own in her scenes with Damon and DiCaprio. I sure as hell don’t know who she is but I do want to see more of her. However, I was most impressed with Mark Wahlberg. He stole the show in every scene he was in and imho clearly deserves at least a nomination. Also imo Scorcese will get nominated for best director and win. There’s no doubt in my mind and yes I realize he’s been snubbed a million times before but not this time baby. The Departed is just too good.
This year’s oscar race is shaping up to be a tough one in all categories but I’m counting on Brad making it in the top five. Please correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t his chances better if Babel is nominated for Best Picture. I don’t think movies, in general, are nominated for Best Picture without at least one acting nomination. I think it will go to Brad. *crosses fingers*
Re: Forest Whitaker. I too hear that his studio wants to push him in the supporting category but I read somewhere that Forest wants to go Lead and if Forest wants to go lead then Forest will go lead.
