Angelina Jolie’s Bodyguard Lays The Smackdown
Here are better pictures of Angelina Jolie sitting poolside at Le Meridien Hotel yesterday in Pune, about 200 kilometers southeast of Mumbai, India. Inset: Angelina’s security officer, Mickey Brett, manhandling paparazzi outside of Le Meridien. More pictures in the gallery including a clearer one Baby Zahara points something out to daddy Brad Pitt.
Angelina is in Pune to shoot Micheal Winterbottom’s A Mighty Heart, a film about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by terrorists in Pakistan four years ago. Angelina plays Daniel’s widow Mariane. More pictures in the gallery…

Yes lovely pics of them. It warms my heart to see how Brad
drapes his hand over Angie’s leg, in part I think to protect
maddox. In part just because he wanted to touch Angie. And
the smiles on their faces like “yippee, we gave the paps a slip”.
Brad sticking his head out, either to check whether they are being
followed OR I hope, taking in the amazing sights, sounds, smells,
that IS India.
Looking at the Brad, Angelina and Maddox in the little three
wheeler, with big smiles on their faces reminds me of the day I
visited Jaipur (sadly only for a day because I was working) Jaipur
is a beautiful city. I met a fellow traveller and we shared the cost
of a 3 wheeler to take us around. Its a great way to see a city.
sort of like being in a bike or a rickshaw but a little faster to cover
the distances. I had a wonderful day.
I’ve read the posts of our Indian BAMZS fans such as India and
Stardust and others and cannot agree more with your
descriptions. To our Indian posters, let me just say to you, you
have an amazing culture, an amazing people. I love being in
India. I’ve never felt more sensual then I did when I was there.
By that I mean, India assails all senses, the sight, the sounds, the
smells, the taste, the touch AND the sixth sense. It’s hard to
describe but it is as if, when all 5 senses are engaged, a synergy
is created and you develop the 6th sense. Not everyone liked
India. But I love it. I miss it as I haven’t been for a while. I’m
trying to find a way to visit at least Mumbai in 07.

LOS ANGELES, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Angelina Jolie says she and Brad Pitt are disappointed they are not shooting “A Mighty Heart,” a film about U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl, in Pakistan where he was abducted and murdered in 2002.
Security concerns there caused officials to suggest they work elsewhere. So with the exception of a few background scenes shot in Pakistan, “A Mighty Heart” will be made in the western Indian city of Pune.
The Oscar-winning U.S. actress plays the slain reporter’s wife, Mariane. Pitt, Jolie’s partner, is the movie’s producer.
“I am disappointed that we could not shoot the film in Pakistan, a country that I love and have visited three times,” said Jolie in a statement issued on Saturday by Trevor Neilson, an adviser to the couple.
“They talked with people from all levels of the Pakistan government and there’s certainly no hard feelings. But it became clear that it was preferable to film in India,” Neilson told Reuters by telephone.
He said there was no release date set for “A Mighty Heart,” which is being made by Pitt’s production company, Los Angeles-based Plan B.
The film is based on a book by Mariane Pearl, “A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl.”
Pearl, a 38-year-old reporter with The Wall Street Journal, was kidnapped in Karachi in early 2002 while researching a story in the aftermath of Sept. 11. A videotape of Pearl having his throat cut was later circulated by his killers.
English filmmaker Michael Winterbottom, famed for such war-based films as “Welcome to Sarajevo” and “The Road to Guantanamo,” is directing the movie.
In her statement, Jolie said “A Mighty Heart” is about “cross-cultural understanding and the values that people of all faiths share. This is not a film about terrorism or conflict, it is a story of people of all faiths working together to find the truth.”
Pune, a metropolitan area with more than 4 million people, is in Maharashtra state, about 80 miles (130 km) southeast of Mumbai.

Maybe Mickey is angered for this
I know i’m going to catch hell for this, but as much as I LOVE these pics, I can’t help but think that this is their “MEA CULPA” to the press (Indian and foreign) for Mickey’s behavior.
I was sort of shocked to see the hand on the leg and you know that that rickshaw was swarmed by paps, so I think that was Brad knowing they had to give the people a little bit of what they want to counteract the bad press that Mickey and they were getting. The actual video of the incident has been playing on the local Indian news.
But it doesn’t matter, this is the kind of PDA that I always thought was kind of missing. I didn’t need tongues down throats, I just needed subtle, intimate gestures that should just come naturally to any couple in love.
But I also can’t escape the irony of the fact that when Brad walked up to Angie at the airport (when she was in the low cut black dress), he didn’t kiss her hello (with the paps far away and behind a fence), but with the paps way up close and in their faces he reaches accross Maddox and puts his hand on her inner thigh for all to see.
Funny, but I love it.

That is the most stupid think in your post.It wasn’t Brad sitting in the airport waiting for Angie to come from somewere to kiss her hello.They arrived and leave together.They were in Holland for some meeting and the pictures were when they were running to catch their plain.Propably fast because they were heading to India in the same day.

You know what I think is funny, everyone all of a sudden has become “media experts”. Could it be you’re reading a bit much into things? Not to be offensive, but all this speculation of small stuff is just insane, and indicative of the fact that the paparazzi has gone way too far and taken so many photos people have begun to overanalyze the private life of celebrities just to feel like they’re part of their inner circle, or they know a celeb when they really don’t.
Just look at the pictures, oooh and aaah and move on.
Too, funny how no one analyzed all the red carpet photos of BP and Aniston. Look back at some of the body language in those shots and tell me what you see?

Oh yeah nobody ever though that the PDA of Brad and X was fake or for PR.Especialy the last tow years of their marriage.They were the “Golden Couple” and of course they sould be happy in the public eye even though it wasn’t like that.But then Again when Brad and Angie are serious they are misserable and when they are laughing it’s PR.Some people will find the slitest thing ti critisize them..
