I truly envy your optimism about things calming down! :)
They’re not going to calm down though-remember Namibia? the paparazzis never left.

Let’s pit it this way: If i were a high-profile person and wa considering a get-away vacation, I’d take all these things into persepctive, and -even though I’d long to see the treasure-trove of sights in India-I’d choose Namibia instead.

Any normal person on the street who sees their car can give out their license plate number. Any servants working in the hotel can give out the room numbers. But I didnt read about any room numbers.

Stage set for ‘Mighty’ shoot

PUNE: The stage is now set for the filming of ‘A Mighty Heart’, starring Angelina Jolie, with the arrival of Dan Futterman, the actor who plays Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

The prominent crew members, who have arrived in Pune, include producer Andrew Eaton and sound mixer Richard Flynn. Director Michael Winterbottom is expected to be there for the shooting.
Based on the life of slain journalist Daniel Pearl, the film brings together a British and American production team. As Jolie and Brad Pitt stayed put at their hotel room in Le Meridien on Saturday evening, Futterman and Mumbai-based producers and socialites Kailash and Arti Surendranath came to visit them around 8.30 pm.
Unlike the high security that Brangelina have been subjected to, Futterman was visible as shutterbugs went berserk around him.
He asked one of the hotel staff about where he was supposed to go, expecting that he would be guided immediately. The staffer, not recognising Futterman, said, “Where do you want to go?”, to which Futterman replied, “I don’t know where I am supposed to go. I have come to meet Angelina.”
Director: Michael Winterbottom The British director is known to be a diverse and prolific filmmaker. Beginning his career in TV, he then switched to making films and has made around 14 feature films in the past 10 years.
The subjects that his films are based on range from a lesbian serial killer (’Butterfly Kiss’, 1995) to a story of three sisters and their extended family (’Wonderland’, 1999). His movie based on a harrowing journey of two Afghan refugees (’In This World’, 2002) earned him numerous awards, including a Golden Bear and a BAFTA for best film, not in the English language.
While ‘A Mighty Heart’ is based on American journalist Daniel Pearl, Winterbottom’s 1997 film ‘Welcome to Sarajevo’, though essentially a war film, was also based on the true story of a television reporter in Sarajevo who smuggles a young girl out of the war-ridden Bosnia and Herzegovina to safety in Britain.

India is such a beautiful and diverse country. It is a democracy, with proper institutions and a strong movie industry. There is no need to freak out, Angie is going to shoot there for a month. I only think the family should move to a gated property as the hotel is under siege, there seems to be no outside police security and information is being leaked like the proverbial sieve.

I don’t get it, #149 says you don’t have to bash Jude Law just to stick of for brad but it’s okay to bash Brad for Jude law, why?

It is also the same reasoning when they say don’t put Jen down just because you’re sticking up for Angie BUT it is okay to bash Angie?

I don’t think that the paparazzis will live them alone any time soon.But I’m sure that Brad and Angie knew exactly what kind of frenzy they were going to face as soon as they arrived.They always managed to handle the situation and I’m positive that they will find the way in this case too. I won’t take everything I read so seriously about how they represent the comditions there.You know how the Press is sometimes.Maybe they want to make it something more that it really is but I can’t be sure.I hope they will move to that bangalow eventualy. Angie needs to consentrate to the role and give her best and Brad has to take care of everything as he is the producer along with watching the kids while Angie is filming.Personaly I won’t mind if we don’t get to see more pictures this month at all.I’m sure they will find a way to balance everything.They always had. ;)

Pune, October 7: BRAD Pitt, Angelina Jolie and the foreign crew of the film unit may have not thought it necessary either to inform the police or ask for security, but the Indian crew members are of a different view. On Saturday, some of the Indian crew members approached the police and discussed the possibility of getting security at the locations.

Deputy commissioner of police (Special Branch) R S Khaire said some of the members had a discussion with him on Saturday morning. However, he said they did not seek police protection for the celebrity couple. ‘‘The crew members asked for police security at the locations of the shooting, but did not specify the locations. We have asked them give us a letter seeking police protection,’’ Khaire said.

Brad and Angelina are in Pune for filming A Mighty Heart, based on the book by Mariane Pearl, wife of slain American journalist Daniel Pearl.

Earlier, the intelligence agencies after coming to know of the star couple’s arrival, close on the heels of the Mumbai blasts, were trying to get hold of information about their schedule. With a Pakistani environ being created in Pune and the couple’s celebrity value, it has been a major cause for concern for the police.

Meanwhile, assistant commissioner of police and head of Foreigners’ Registration Office (FRO) Suresh Bhoomkar said Le Meridien Hotel — where Brad, Angelina and their three children are staying — have intimated the FRO about their arrival.On Friday, Pune Newsline carried a report on how the police teams had gone to various hotels in the city seeking information about them and the hotel had not submitted the mandatory ‘C Form’ that is to be sent to the FRO within 24 hours of any foreigner’s arrival.

Bhoomkar said though they submitted the form, it was incomplete. ‘‘The hotel has not provided mandatory information about the check-in time of the couple and their entourage and their visa details,’’ he said.

The couple landed in the city at 2.45 pm on October 5 in a private jet owned by the Raymond group and were directly whisked away to the hotel.

Section 14 of the Foreigners’ Act prescribes punishment for a term of up to five years and fine to people failing to provide the information.Bhoomkar said the FRO had sought all the details from the hotel and a decision to take action against them for the delay in submitting the form will be taken only after they provide the entire details.He added that the law does not prescribe any action or punishment for failure to submit complete information.
