How I wish the paps were more dicreet, so that we can still have pictures, and yet the Pitts can still enjoy their sight seeing. Love these pictures.

Mad instinctively holding on to his dad’s hand is just a poignant gesture of their bond as father and son. I can only imagine the first time Mad called him dad, it must have been a hallmark moment. Angie is such a devoted mother to all her children, She holds all of them in her arms with such love and tenderness. What can I say but Brad ’s hand on Angie’s hand is simply sweet and so much hotter than some celebrities with ostentious PDA.

Please send my love to Elena as well, sending positive thoughts her way - we miss her and are here for her.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began shooting scenes for a movie about the life of slain journalist Daniel Pearl on Monday, said a crew member on the movie shoot in the western Indian city of Pune.

Security was tight around a spacious bungalow in the Pune suburb of Aundh, chosen because the area resembles Karachi, Pakistan, where Pearl and his wife Mariane spent time.

Jolie plays Mariane Pearl in the in the film, “A Mighty Heart,” and Dan Futterman portrays Daniel Pearl. Both were involved in Monday’s shoot, said a set manager who did not want to be named for fear of losing his job.

A street sign outside the bungalow has been changed to “Zamzama Fourth Street,” and the height of boundary walls of adjoining cottages has been raised to replicate the area Pearl and his wife stayed in Karachi before Pearl’s abduction.

The Wall Street Journal reporter was abducted and murdered in Pakistan in 2002 while researching a story on Islamic militancy.

Pune is about 160 kilometers (100 miles) south of Mumbai, India’s financial and entertainment hub.

Television reporters, photographers and journalists have been camped outside the Pune hotel where the couple is staying and the bungalow since the stars arrived in India late last week.

Pictures of Pitt and Jolie with their son Maddox in an autorickshaw made the front page of India’s national newspapers on Monday.

Their 20-minute ride in the three-wheeler rickshaw took them past shops and department stores in downtown Pune.

The couple are in India with Maddox 5, Zahara, 18 months, and 4-month-old Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.

The movie is based on an adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s book, “A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl,” and will be co-produced by Plan B, a production company founded by Pitt and his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Aniston.

Poor Madd. He probably thinks those paps ruin everything for him. He hates them you can tell. Plus, I think Madd was unnerved by people having the ability to get right up next to them in the rickshaw. He’s sandwiched good between them though.

Brad’s a very sweet man. You can just tell how he is with the kids and Angelina. Another thing I’ve noticed about Brad is that he’s usually always touching Angelina in one way or another whenever they’re out. Very sweet.

There is complete seperation between taking photographs of them on a public street or in public where a photographer is respectful and keeps their distance. It’s another thing for a pack/mob to chase them, stick camera’s in their faces, create chaos by pushing and trying to get position within the mob, yelling at each other to get a photograph of them. Clearly they have a child with them. They probably told him all about how much fun the rickshaw was and they’d take him .

Brad and Angelina are always very accomodating. People just need to relax and realize when they have the children it’s a different ballgame

You’re right about that. Indians take pride in treating guests very well, but as an Indian…I cringe everytime I read about how the media and hotel staff is behaving. They are rude and have no ethics when it comes to being discrete and professional.

But glad to see that Brad and Angie are still taking in the sights. I saw the Indian news because I got some Indian channels at home and the reporter was asking the public about B & A riding an autorickshaw. They said it showed that they are down to earth and don’t mind traveling like how the locals travels…most of the Bollywood stars in India would never even dare to step outside their cars and ride an rickshaw among the locals.

They also interviewed the richshaw driver and he basically said it was fun showing them around Pune.

Since they already started filming the movie and no new pictures have surfaced yet (It’s about 7.00 pm in India I think) Then I hope that they moved in the bungalow. The situation outside the Le Meridine is getting really crazy.

Well I can see you recovered from the last thread. Bravo to everyone who was able to go through that thread, to say it was tedious will be an understatement. I could not take the it is Maddox thighs past page three.

In as much as I will like to look at pictures, I don’t mind not seeing the pictures. I don’t need pictures to tell me what I already think about this two and their family. I just hope the hysteria dies down, if not, it will be a very long month.

I saw the NBC video, and I still don’t blame Mickey. He is a trained bodyguard. The way he grabbed the other guy’s neck may look aggressive, but you can see he is not choking the guy, you don’t see any change in the guy’s facial color. So it looked very intimidating, to warn others, but no harm is really done.

I also don’t blame Mickey, it’s his job to protect the family when people get out of line.

For some reason I can’t get the video out of my head, I bet when AJ and BP got back to the hotel safe and sound with Mad, they proablely looked at each other and said not one of out smarter moves.

You guys, I just can’t get the expression on Maddox’s face off my mind. It is haunting me. Seeing the video of this chaotic outing in Pune bothers me greatly. I love those kids. I do not want to see them confused, frightened. I feel guilty that it is people like me who are dying to see more and more pictures of the family and that’s the reason photographers are getting out of control with their obsession to photograph them. After all they get paid a lot of money for those pictures.
So with all this stuff in my mind I am seriously considering stopping any kind of blogging all together. I am really disturbed about this. My conscious bothers me a lot. But I love the BAMZS with all my heart and always pray for their happiness and safety.

If you get on one of rickshaws and drive in one of the cities in India, you as an adult will get scared very much. ( 10 yil hosteslik yaptim ve Hindistan’da layover cok yaptim)

On top of it, they were surrendered by the photoghers and curious people.

And the most of the drivers of rickshaws love to show their insane driving talents to their customers.

I am very sure that he will never forget this trip, unfortunately.

Jared put up the video on the first page of this thread; you should see it, it’s very enlightening. I was so scared for them watching that video. I can’t imagine having people watch every move you make and to get in your face taking pictures with cameras clicking right in your face even for just a day, and to have to deal with that all the time..it’s nuts, and it makes me respect AJ and BP even more because they handle it all with such grace.
I frankly don’t get how anyone can defend the papz about that incident with Mickey. You could clearly see how pushy all of them were.

I agree with you Estelle. Mad is used to that kind of attention. He may not like it at times but that’s nothing new to him. He is probably more upset about not being able to enjoy the ride and see more of the sights that’s why Brad & Angie looked like they were consoling him.

Maddox has been traveling with his parents all over the world and must be used to mobs of fans or paps. But he has never seen a crowd of mostly Indians. About the these paps…I watched that video, and I have to agree, it made me uncomfortable. Yes, I like pictures, but even I admit I don’t want this many, especially if it means bothering them this much (at the very least), and/or making it unsafe for them and causing an accident (at the most). I don’t see anything wrong with an occasional picture of them every couple of weeks or so, shot from 20 feet away in a public place (like the Dutch airport photos), but this is entirely a different situation. The paps need to back off and give them some space. We don’t need any more pictures for a while, and certainly not like this. In fact I’d feel better if there was no news for awhile.

After all, Brad just gave that woooonderful interview about how they did not get married but they “are just as committed”!! Talk about thangs that make you go *squeeeee*! I think we can get alot of milage out of that, haha!!

I agree. She was always slim. She actaully wears clothing to give her more of a shape. As her sylist has said. In interviews she always expressed a desire to put on some weight because she is naturally angular and wants to be more full. Her mother was also natuarly thin. If you look at pictures of her mother you can see they looked the same while pregnant.

Out of desperation and lack of nothing to do, I started flipping the channel, got to VH1 where they were doing the fabulous lives of hip hop
stars and these people buy 7 cars at the same time. They change their cars every year because they get bored with the color, some guy spent 1 million dollars on his cars in 2005…..yet no one is saying but they criticize
the JPs because they donate to charities. Isn’t there something terribly wrong here? Are our priorities really THAT messed up? Seriously, what kind of message are they sending? That’s it’s okay to be self-centered? I mean what else would you call buying 7 cars……you’re just one person and can only ride in one car at a certain time…..which means majority of the time thoe remaining six cars are seating idle, so pray tell what is the point of the extravagance? See, It is nonsense like this that makes me appreciate the JPs…..they could be sitting in their mansions, bragging about their cars and what not (something they sure won’t catch any flack for) yet, they put themselves out there knowing there’s a chance they might be ridiculed and their every move watched. BP alone is worth $100 million., what does he need a measly 4 million for? Why would he…they want to keep the money? And even if they wanted to keep the money, why would they make an announcement that they would be donating it? It’s like a bank robber calling the cops and telling them he’s about to rob a bank. This would fall under “world’s stupidest criminals” won’t it and the last I checked, BP and AJ aren’t stupid. Honestly, this just simple logic and I can’t understand why people keep harping on their charity giving. This is America for goodness sakes, a country that believes in checks and balances. Another thing, people expect that when a person pledges a donation, they should just walk to the bedrooms and cut a check. Any accountant will tell you that’s not how it works. The company I work for, is just now redeeming pledges they made in late 2004, early 2005. There is a process and only illiterates would think otherwise.

I agree with you completely. I got so sick of seeing all those lifestyle of the rich and shameless shows I couldn’t even turn my TV to VH1 or MTV. I didn’t see any Blogs about that either, but criticism for the Jolie/Pitt’s philanthropy, tons of commentary.

What kind of crazy mix up world is this when spending thousands on an outfit for your dog doesn’t get scrutiny but giving away money to the poor is. I finally got a chance to read all the comments on this thread. I can’t tell you all how relieved I was when I first came across this blog…well it was actually a blogspot back then. Not just because there people who were fans of Brad and Angelina as I was, but also because of the intelligence and the heart that the writers possessed. I’ve been on many blogs before and I never saw so many outright vengeful and bitter people. I had almost lost hope after seeing how many truly hateful people there were out there in the blogosphere.

Been lurking but I love the posts. As far as people critical of what Brad and Angelina are doing.. well, I think it is because if they cant criticize it, they will be forced to look at themselves and judge whether they should be doing more. Watching greedy selfish celebs on tv wont maket them feel guilty. It might make them think well.. The filming of the movie started today and also there is not too many articles out there at the moment and no pictures so far so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the moved out of the hotel and went to more private place! I saw the video from X17online.com and the situation was unbelievable. But as many of you said I’m really happy that Brad and Angie are trying to keep their cool. Very intelligent. And I agree with everyone who said that Mad was not looking frightened but curious .That’s what I’m getting for the pics too. As for the pap threatening to sue he is only talking from his ass. His company told him to not say anything more about it. Brad and Angie was not even there when the incident happened plus Mickey just grabbed him for a second and then he was gone. There’s no any finical damage. And he was told to stop taking pictures before Mickey pushed him but he completely ignored the command. Cameramen, photographers and the paparazzi, who were shut out at the entrance gate, quarrelled with private security personnel of the society and guards of the couple for not allowing them inside.

Pune, October 9; A bearded cyclist is commuting on Zamzama Street 4th CBC at a leisurely pace, while two yellow taxis follow him. The one behind him pulls up to a bungalow, drops one of its occupants and speeds ahead. A situation that takes place not once, but four times in a row till it has attained perfection.

On Day One, in Pune’s Sindh Society, it is all about rehearsals for A Mighty Heart. Though the filming of this film was awaited on Monday, rehearsals consumed most of the production crew’s day. Though neither Dan Futterman, who plays Daniel Pearl, nor Angelina Jolie who is enacting Mariane’s role were part of it, director Michael Winterbottom was seen overseeing the scenes.

Along with his four-member team, Winterbottom was overheard saying ‘Mariane’ twice while explaining the scene to one of the actors when he gets off from the taxi at Bungalow No. 223.

Meanwhile, the already thick security cover was spruced up and the entire place was cordoned off. There were four different kinds of security covers — the local police, the personal security of Brangelina, Tops Security Agency and the regular security of Sindh Society.

The guards were seen checking the baggage and identity proof of all visitors except residents. Tops Security was handling crew members’ security while the local police kept guard around the bungalow — Nayansukh .

‘‘We have been getting immense pressure from the crew to beef up the security after a large number of media people were found scattered all over the society. Today, we have made the best efforts to keep out the media,’’ said D L Shrestha, proprietor, Security Solution and Services. Throughout the day, anyone venturing close to the shooting set-up was immediately questioned by the security personnel.

it goes to tell you that the security at the set is really really secure but even they are having the same problem as the hotel…

boy, someone forgot to tell these folks that Brad and Angelina are shooting a movie and not zoo animals and that this movie is a private set.

why not have apress conference to explain this to all media. Otherwise, India is not looking like a good place to shoot a movie..

The two incidents are so far apart, they shouldn’t even be brought into the same sentence. One man was met his fate because he was trying to close a bridge between cultures, while the other is motivated by Greed. In an effort to criticize the JPs, these people are only demeaning who and what DP is.
I saw the idiot photog on TV and I wanted to choke him. He carried on about having a right to be there, not thinking for a sec that so do the JPs. Honestly, this incident is an eye-opener because I used to be one of the people that say “well, if they don’t want their picture taken, they should have picked a different job” but that’s not really fair.

Security in India is inadequate. all an intruder has to do is give a false destination to get at the film shooting place. Apparently they don’t do it where anyone whose visit can’t be VERIFIED by a resident doesn’t get a pass.

The reporter below tried once, was turned away, then he lied, and got in, and reched the shooting area.

I would think India, to hopefully foster good relations with other American and International film crews that might want to spend money and make movies there, would act accordingly - but unfortunately from what I’ve seen of the Indian film community and celebrity, this kind of frenzy and chaos is encouraged (speaking of Bollywood stars for the most part) - in TO, when two huge bollywood stars came in - someone named SRK, and another actor by the name of Khan (not Irrfan who is in AMH), the hysteria was crazed, people were pushing and screaming (I said at the time, though the crowd was smaller, the intensity level was as mad as it was for Brad). I would hate to think that the Indian community in this region would be disheartened by Brad & Angie’s visit due to the tight security they HAVE to HAVE…and perhaps they can later on do some community things…but many people there just get so frenzied over celebs and stars, and excited to the point of crushing themselves - I think it’s going to be almost impossible.

I gotta say this happens with bollywood movie stars too. There was a bollywood movie with a huge star cast being filmed in New York and the Indian crowd there was apparantely hard to control. Some fans would literally stalk the cast and blog with very detailed accounts what scene they saw being filmed, who was wearing what, who was hanging out where, what hotel they were staying at, what they ate during their lunch breaks, what the name of bodyguards were, and a lot of detailed info. The Indian media saw all these pictures and stories written on all these bollywood blogs and they started to report the same information and used some of the pics.

Some of these people would check Craig’s list to see if the movie needed extras because that’s how the filmmaker decided to advertise for the extras. So they would become extras on the set and report back everything they saw and heard and all the pictures they took on some blogs.

At the time I thought these were just some dedicated fans who meant no harm and just were excited to be near the celebs….but now that all this crazy stuff is happening with the Jolie Pitt family….it scares me.

Of course there is a difference. That movie was about relationships and this is about a reporter being killed by the taliban. So the sensitivity of the subject makes me react totally different now.

Three levels of security and there are still unauthorized people getting in and this is just the first week of filming. I think they need to move this production out of India.

I went to the store today and regretted it because I saw the cover of a tabloid, NE, I think. On the cover, in one corner, it says….”Brad walks in on Angelina and her ex.” I know that’s not true at all, that’s why I’m so disgusted. Why these tabloids can’t leave Brad & Angie alone. What else will they come up with?
They can write anything they want but they can’t ruin B & A. They are the most powerful couple in the planet. Haters, pls. don’t bash me. Afterall, I’m an avid fan, what can I do?

I saw the ET segment and I’d like to believe anyone who saw the madness surrounding the Rickshaw will be a little open-minded about the incident with the idiot photog. if there is a possibility that the title of the last thread may have fueled the rapid spread of this horrible news, then let’s also leave room for the possibility that we can rectify it. What I mean by this is….most of the stories out there are treating both incidents as two very seperate things. They see the incident with the rickshaw as “aww look, another celebrity being chased down by paparazzis” and the Mike and the photographer incident as “what?!! A bodyguard choked a poor photographer.” Now, that’s just wrong…..Why isn’t anyone make a big deal about the fact that BP, AJ and their son were being chased aggresively by these photogs? Let’s even forget the adults here, what about the child? Why isn’t anyone screaming child endangerment on the Razzis who were riding dangerously close to the Rickshaw? Why? Well, it’s because they don’t care but we do. I believe that as long as we don’t let them forget that the razzis were being reckless in their pursuit, we can paint a clearer picture than the one out there right now. Maybe I am being overly optimistic but this is what I believe.

Good post AG, but maybe I’m being overly pessimistic when I figure that they’ll just blame B&A for taking their son on the rikshaw to begin with.

I wish this wasn’t the case - but we know how they’ve been treated in the past…I wouldn’t be surprised if In Touch has a story on it next week, blaming Angelina, and Brad being fed up and talking all the kids home to Maniston.
