it goes to tell you that the security at the set is really really secure but even they are having the same problem as the hotel…

boy, someone forgot to tell these folks that Brad and Angelina are shooting a movie and not zoo animals and that this movie is a private set.

why not have apress conference to explain this to all media. Otherwise, India is not looking like a good place to shoot a movie..

The two incidents are so far apart, they shouldn’t even be brought into the same sentence. One man was met his fate because he was trying to close a bridge between cultures, while the other is motivated by Greed. In an effort to criticize the JPs, these people are only demeaning who and what DP is.
I saw the idiot photog on TV and I wanted to choke him. He carried on about having a right to be there, not thinking for a sec that so do the JPs. Honestly, this incident is an eye-opener because I used to be one of the people that say “well, if they don’t want their picture taken, they should have picked a different job” but that’s not really fair.

Security in India is inadequate. all an intruder has to do is give a false destination to get at the film shooting place. Apparently they don’t do it where anyone whose visit can’t be VERIFIED by a resident doesn’t get a pass.

The reporter below tried once, was turned away, then he lied, and got in, and reched the shooting area.

I would think India, to hopefully foster good relations with other American and International film crews that might want to spend money and make movies there, would act accordingly - but unfortunately from what I’ve seen of the Indian film community and celebrity, this kind of frenzy and chaos is encouraged (speaking of Bollywood stars for the most part) - in TO, when two huge bollywood stars came in - someone named SRK, and another actor by the name of Khan (not Irrfan who is in AMH), the hysteria was crazed, people were pushing and screaming (I said at the time, though the crowd was smaller, the intensity level was as mad as it was for Brad). I would hate to think that the Indian community in this region would be disheartened by Brad & Angie’s visit due to the tight security they HAVE to HAVE…and perhaps they can later on do some community things…but many people there just get so frenzied over celebs and stars, and excited to the point of crushing themselves - I think it’s going to be almost impossible.

just want it to go away.

I gotta say this happens with bollywood movie stars too. There was a bollywood movie with a huge star cast being filmed in New York and the Indian crowd there was apparantely hard to control. Some fans would literally stalk the cast and blog with very detailed accounts what scene they saw being filmed, who was wearing what, who was hanging out where, what hotel they were staying at, what they ate during their lunch breaks, what the name of bodyguards were, and a lot of detailed info. The Indian media saw all these pictures and stories written on all these bollywood blogs and they started to report the same information and used some of the pics.

Some of these people would check Craig’s list to see if the movie needed extras because that’s how the filmmaker decided to advertise for the extras. So they would become extras on the set and report back everything they saw and heard and all the pictures they took on some blogs.

At the time I thought these were just some dedicated fans who meant no harm and just were excited to be near the celebs….but now that all this crazy stuff is happening with the Jolie Pitt family….it scares me.

Of course there is a difference. That movie was about relationships and this is about a reporter being killed by the taliban. So the sensitivity of the subject makes me react totally different now.

I’ve been thinking she looks very, very thin lately, and I asked if anyone else worried about that also. That’s all, no big deal. You could have responded as a friend and offered your opinion, which is that she is fine and has always been “skinny.” Instead, you wonder “where all the skinny comment is coming from” as if there were dozens, and you must single-handedly defending her honor against them all. That was pretty unfair, but it did lead to other people high-fiving you for your “great post”, so today you’re a hero. In your response you gave some statisics on her weight–how much she’d gained, where she gained it, etc… I could ask the same of you: ” you know this just by looking at her?” But I wouldn’t. I don’t take comments or opinions posted here by people who are genuine fans and long-time posters ( and I am both) as anything but their honest, heart-felt opinions, regardless of how right or wrong I believe them to be. I assume others will do the same for me, and that we can all offer concerns from time to time that are not shared by you, QQQQ, without getting our heads bitten off. I flat out adore Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and I think you were wrong to put me in the position of needing to defend myself.

Three levels of security and there are still unauthorized people getting in and this is just the first week of filming. I think they need to move this production out of India.

I went to the store today and regretted it because I saw the cover of a tabloid, NE, I think. On the cover, in one corner, it says….”Brad walks in on Angelina and her ex.” I know that’s not true at all, that’s why I’m so disgusted. Why these tabloids can’t leave Brad & Angie alone. What else will they come up with?
They can write anything they want but they can’t ruin B & A. They are the most powerful couple in the planet. Haters, pls. don’t bash me. Afterall, I’m an avid fan, what can I do?

I saw the ET segment and I’d like to believe anyone who saw the madness surrounding the Rickshaw will be a little open-minded about the incident with the idiot photog. if there is a possibility that the title of the last thread may have fueled the rapid spread of this horrible news, then let’s also leave room for the possibility that we can rectify it. What I mean by this is….most of the stories out there are treating both incidents as two very seperate things. They see the incident with the rickshaw as “aww look, another celebrity being chased down by paparazzis” and the Mike and the photographer incident as “what?!! A bodyguard choked a poor photographer.” Now, that’s just wrong…..Why isn’t anyone make a big deal about the fact that BP, AJ and their son were being chased aggresively by these photogs? Let’s even forget the adults here, what about the child? Why isn’t anyone screaming child endangerment on the Razzis who were riding dangerously close to the Rickshaw? Why? Well, it’s because they don’t care but we do. I believe that as long as we don’t let them forget that the razzis were being reckless in their pursuit, we can paint a clearer picture than the one out there right now. Maybe I am being overly optimistic but this is what I believe.

Good post AG, but maybe I’m being overly pessimistic when I figure that they’ll just blame B&A for taking their son on the rikshaw to begin with.

I wish this wasn’t the case - but we know how they’ve been treated in the past…I wouldn’t be surprised if In Touch has a story on it next week, blaming Angelina, and Brad being fed up and talking all the kids home to Maniston.
