OlderFIRST LOOK: Angelina Jolie as Mariane Pearl in ‘A Mighty Heart’
Angelina Jolie plays Mariane, widow of the Wall Street Journal reporter, who was murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002 while researching a story on the links between “shoe bomber” Richard Reid and Islamic spiritual leader Sheikh Mubarak Gilani. Mariane was pregnant with their child (inset) when her husband was kidnapped.
Jolie said in a weekend statement that she was disappointed not to be filming in Pakistan, “a country I love and have visited three times.” But security concerns pushed the filming to the western Indian city of Pune, which was chosen because it resembles Karachi, Pakistan.

UPDATE :: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donated $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation through the recently formed Jolie-Pitt Foundation. Brad and Angie released this statement: “On this day our thoughts go out to Danny’s family. The Daniel Pearl Foundation is celebrating this day, his birthday, with music festivals around the world. The festivals are a great reminder of not just Danny’s work as a journalist but of his life and his love of music.”

Thanks Just Jared for the stills of AJ as MP. I feel that AJ will do a great job in this role. It is more than skin color, but a mixture of life experiences, surviving through insurmountable pain, and bringing a new life into the world. AJ has experienced all of these things as well as MP. Do not sell people short because you are fixated on the past. MP had the courage to move forward with her life after suffering a devasting lost. Some of you poor Jen fans cannot even move on from a hollywood divorce. I support AJ in this role and I am looking forward to the movie. Peace to all.

The first part was just my observations and what I thought of the transcript in a post HERE on JJ, it’s NOT what I am sending to NBC or CNN/Larry King…I SPECIFICALLY state what I am sending and suggest others send and that is that they are simply ‘BOYCOTTING TRUMP/APPRENTICE’ - I do NOT tell people what to include, and I do NOT say that I am including anything else other than what I wrote after the e-mail addresses.
Those that think I’m including my entire JJ post in a letter to NBC or CNN — did not read my post carefully and are not comprehending every well.
It’s very clear. I expressly wanted a minimal but powerful and succinct message, and that is that supporters of Brad & Angelina and their family, are boycotting trump for his maligning/denigrating Angelina Jolie.

Like Micheal Douglas, surely Donald has something after this for himself.
To get attention on himself, he did in the cheapest way: attack one of the most loved and popular person in the world.

My bottomline is this — it’s a fact of life in our very capitalist society — that if people think there are likely to be ramifications and consequences to their actions, they may tend to NOT do it, and you might even get an apology out of it and a retraction (see Michael Douglas’ hasty pseudo-apology) - barring that, you might at least prevent this mofo from spouting off again in the near future.
It’s a given he WILL get publicity for his remarks.
If there are NO consequences TO HIM aside from the ones he so obviously WANTS (publicity for himself and his show) - then he WILL do it again…much as he made his comments on his blog…he got plenty of hits from JJ posting his blog commentary HERE, and then it hitting Google and others referencing…so guess what?? It’s not rocket science to understand why he is STILL doing it, and will continue, as long as there is nothing but PRESS coming his way.
NOW, if his parent company, and the ad department get wind of a possible boycott - they might tell him to shut the **** up.
That is all I am after at this point.
So it’s that simple, you can choose to support this family and prevent this blowhard from possibly going off again, and parasitically leeaching off their fame with no consequences for his nasty words and actions OR you can stand together as a supportive fan base and say, we will hurt you because of what you said, WHERE it counts, in the pocketbook.

Most probably, Brad will be nominated for most of the awards next year for his role in Babel.

If it was true that the mother chose x “the leaked” over Angelina, I wish her good luck. Because we don’t know what the future will bring us but there will be always a special bond between Brad and Angie because of their children. The mother should learn to have Angie in the rest of her life. She is the mother of her grandchildren.

The academy loves it when actors immerse themselves into a transforming role. Remember Nicole Kidman in that movie where she wore the fake nose, didn’t even look like herself. Was it The Hours?
