Angelina Jolie Reads “Crimes of War”
Angelina Jolie was just snapped reading “Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know” by Roy Gutman. Angelina, 31, was spotted reading the book on her way to the set of her upcoming film A Mighty Heart‘ in Pune, India. A Mighty Heart is about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by terrorists in Pakistan four years ago. Angelina plays Daniel’s widow Mariane, on whose book of the same name the film is based upon.

ITA, very perplexing. Here’s my take:
X calls Huvane several times/day, telling him she’s going crazy alone at home with the dogs, and the tabs full of “Vince dumped her” on the cover. She tells him that just posting on JJ under various names against Angie and Brad does not relieve her condition. She threatens Huvane that she’l do something drasyc, like go to a bar she knows nearby and pay a guy to be photographed with her, so she’ll stop being the “twice-dumped-alone again-girl”.
Huvane panics at the thougt, tries to find a more respectable alternative, tentatively calls Oprah.
Oprah tells him “Well, now that Jen Jen is dumped again and scooping dog doo, she is right for my show. Before, as long as it looked like she was doing semi-ok with Vince, I didn’t think there was enough interst there. but now, heck, 3/4 of my audience will identify with her. She’s welcome”.

If they were so freaking concerned about who was going to be cast as MP in the movie, then they should’ve bought the rights to the damned book themselves and made the movie. Oh…wait…no…they wouldn’t want to do that. That would have been pro-active and not reactive! Can’t have that, now can we?
I have yet to see any story what-so-ever where the people doing the objecting say that they’ve spoken to Mariane Pearl and are protesting on her behalf. Oh wait…silly me…they can’t say that because she’s already on record as saying she wants Angie to play her in the movie! Maybe they ought to considering checking with her before protesting about the casting and presuming that they know better than she does.
And one last thing…why in the hell are we even still talking about this?!

I find the fact that JA keeps addressing the tabloid rumors very odd. Why doesn’t VV say anything, but just her? Is it because she has more at stake to appear like she is still loved? It doesn’t surprise me to see her coming out now again about her relationship. her dvd is coming out right? I don’t think she really loves VV, she wants him for her ego. She is setting herself up for heartache again. My 2 cents.

JMHO but VV doesn’t say anything for the same reason Brad ceased making public comments on their relationship - he just doesn’t GAFF anymore. He’s already “emotionally checked out of the relationship” and now he’s giving her an opportunity to make the announcement on her own. But…as usual…the wench has got to make herself look good FIRST…then she’ll come back in a few weeks and say it’s over. The woman just never learns that it’s easier to just tell the truth and be done with it. Uh…you’re not supposed to notice that. Why in the hell X thinks she needs to refute more tabloid rumors is a mystery to everyone. If she thinks this is a way of combatting Us’s assertion that she’s “needy and controlling”…methinks she’s going to fail. Because if ever anything looked needy and controlling? It would be going to Okrah to do damage control on rumors that her flabby boyfriend dumped her and took his half mil dollar ring back. She’s out there trying to manufacture all the publicity she can…and then chokes on her Marlboros because everywhere she turns someone is talking about Brad and Angie…and they’re out of the freaking country! I hope she’s joking on the knowledge that people find them fascinating and couldn’t give a rat’s dead behind what she’s doing…or who!
In all honesty Brad and Angie have all the money they ever need to live on for the rest of their lives, they have a family. Why are they doing this. Putting their children at risk, being critized by black groups, going to work so soon after the baby? Why? Why? Is there a reason to all this?

I would really like to point out AGAIN — that this so called news story about ‘blacks objecting’ from some site called blacklooks.org .com or whatever — it is the SAME STORY being picked up by different outlets. NO LEGITIMATE black groups or organizations of ANY KIND have weighed in or commented on Angie’s casting as Mariane Pearl. What you have is one website (possibly run by haters), that deliberately manufactured this story to get hits and people to their site. Whether you see the story on the post chronicle site, or natinal alledger, or wherever else it appears - it’s the SAME STORY referencing the same cheesey blog site.
By commenting on it - like it’s true and real, we run the danger of making it into a reality before it is one.
Just my POV.
What I find unconsconiable, is any site that chooses to regurgitate this crap is really hitting a woman that has suffered through the worst kind of horror imaginable - below the belt, just for the sake of sticking it to Angie & Brad.
Sad. Anyway - don’t fall for it.
Maybe she’s holding that book up just to see what a heated discussion a photo of it would generate on this site: is she for real? is she acting? She probably is enjoying seeing her fans (and haters for that matter) all worked up debating about her behavior.
Also, she might be reading for her new role, or whatever scene she’s going to shoot this day. She want to get into the emotional state of hating war in order to feel the grief of the character…sort of, to that effect.
