Angelina Jolie Reads “Crimes of War”
Angelina Jolie was just snapped reading “Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know” by Roy Gutman. Angelina, 31, was spotted reading the book on her way to the set of her upcoming film A Mighty Heart‘ in Pune, India. A Mighty Heart is about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by terrorists in Pakistan four years ago. Angelina plays Daniel’s widow Mariane, on whose book of the same name the film is based upon.

Guli, what I meant by my previous post is that the story circulating about ‘outrage’ over AJ playing Mariane, is sourced from just one place - this cheesey second rate blacklooks website.
The story is the same, wherever you see it.
It’s kind of like when Jared breaks a story and writes a blurb, and you find HIS link and story that he wrote, being talked about & linked on 4 other sites.

Your right how dare she have her own mind thoughts and opinions doesn’t she know she should only read Government approved literature.
What is this the stone age? Peopel should read whatever they want, hear different opinions and ideas that is how a person and a country grows, you take the things that can be used in a postive manner and you through all the rest away.

Angie and Brad are actors, so they act in movies, that’s their job. They are both also friends of MPearl, and want to tell her story as she wants it told. Are you saying that once one has made some money they should just sit in rocking chairs on the poach and become vegetables? They seem to handle their extremely busy lives well, they are good at working together in sync and multitask well. They go out of their way to stay as private as possible, they go weeks in LA without a sighting, but they have no control over the chaotic situation in India. They want this movie to be as authentic as possible, they respect MPearl and her story. No one sees them out at clubs, shopping, drinking, etc. like many in their business. Yes, acting is a business like any other. Are you advocating for all wealthy people to stop working or just Brad and Angie? They always have their children with them, they do not go off to make a movie and let nannies raise their children.
On another subject, that of Angie playing MPearl. Whose business is it who plays MPearl other than those involved in the project? MPearl SUPPORTS Angie, that’s good enough for me. I belong to two races/cultures thanks to my parents, one being black, and I have no objection to Angie playing MPearl, just as I am happy for HBerry to play a “white” woman in a film (HBerry also belongs to two races doesn’t she). MPearl is who she is, I have never heard her refer to herself as “black”. I am irritated that this whole subject of race is being used to bash Angie over the head. Why didn’t this issue pop up when JA supporters cried that Angie stole JA’s oscar role? How in the hell could JA, an actor with a most limited range of ability, play a pregnant european multicultural woman undergoing the most extremely horrifying experience unimaginable in scope before the whole world? Angie is multicultural, described by many as “ethnic in appearance”, as she is part native american. So what is the problem with her playing the role of another multicultural woman? NADA.

Rob - Dude, I don’t know how to break this to you, but not everybody embraces the beliefs of everything they read. For instance - I like to read Jim Butcher’s Harry Dresden books. BUT…that doesn’t mean I believe in his world of wizards, witches, fairies, vampires and skulls inhabited by spirits. It just means I like to read.
In Jolie’s case, she’s an ambassador for the UNHCR and as such she likes to be informed of all sides of the issues. Quite possibly she may even think that by reading the writings of those involved she can gain some insight into the people she’s meeting and places that she’s going.
Conversely…maybe she’s not really reading “crimes of War” and it’s just a cover up. Maybe she’s actually reading a copy of the latest US Weekly that’s hidden behind the cover of the book and she’s snickering at their hilarious article exposing X as a fraud!
GUYS! Jon Stewart just made fun of Trump! lol He showed clips from the LK interview and even did an impression. Then he said, “I’m suppose to take advice from a guy that thinks Kevin Federline is fantastic and Angelina Jolie is ugly?!” It’s not an exact quote but it’s pretty close.
