Angelina Jolie Reads “Crimes of War”
Angelina Jolie was just snapped reading “Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know” by Roy Gutman. Angelina, 31, was spotted reading the book on her way to the set of her upcoming film A Mighty Heart‘ in Pune, India. A Mighty Heart is about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by terrorists in Pakistan four years ago. Angelina plays Daniel’s widow Mariane, on whose book of the same name the film is based upon.

Oh please do not quit posting. I do enjoy all your posts … even the haters posts I must admit … ‘coz they make me laugh so hard.
This blogsite is truly great because of diversity of opinions … please let all the voices be heard … only then can one decipher the truth from the lies … differentiate the facts from propaganda.
However, I just hope that everybody can disagree without being disagreeable.
I sure did miss a lot while I was on my weeklong mini vacation. I was briefly able to get online, but never enough time to really read much.
It is a shame that India is turning out to be the worst place for then paparazzi wise.
I’m a caucasian woman. I have no issues with Halle playing a white woman . I don’t see what the fuss is about angie playing a woman with playing a multiethic woman. Angie certainly can pull it off. If Marianne is happy with who is playiong her, everyone should be happy.

Good morning to all the BAMZS fans, & to my kababayans! I can’t believe some people are still arguing that Angelina is not right for her role in AMH. How dare Angie. Brad and the people behind AMH did not ask your permission first if it’s ok for Angie to do it. Get over it already. No one is forcing you to watch the movie.
Let’s go even furthur and have white people playing black people on TV. “I’m not black, but I play one on TV!” Yea, that should be Angelina’s saying. Next time, let’s get Brad to play a black man or asian man in a movie too! They are so famous and gorgeous, let them get away with it!

Do you know why we are not disturbed by this…..because it’s not our life that is being made into a movie. MP met AJ and approved her…so it wasn’t like she was blindsided by it. One day, when the story of YOUR life is being made into a movie, you can pick whoever you want to play you. My God, this is not a story about Rosa Parks, whose race IS the story. This is about a woman experience….an experience that can happen to any woman regardless of skin color. Seriously, why is this so difficult to understand?

The most celebrated Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will party at a top discotheque in the city, top socialites said in Pune.
Jolie and Pitt, who arrived here last week, began shooting Monday for A Mighty Heart penned by slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl’s widow Mariane. Jolie plays Mariane in the film.
“About 100 socialites will be invited to the private party at the swanky Area 51 discotheque at Baner,” a source said, adding, “the party is happening soon but cannot tell you exactly when.”
The party is likely to be hosted by real estate biggie Avinash Bhosale whose Abby’s Palace, a 30,000 sq ft-swanky residential bungalow, is one of the locales for shooting the big budget film.
Top city industrialist Cyrus Poonawallah, known for his lavish parties, is another name doing the rounds.
DJ Yusuf Kapasi said that the venue for the party is the best nightclub of the city. It opens only Fridays and Saturdays. It is known for its superb music, light and sound and can accommodate up to 2,000 party animals.
Meanwhile, with the Brangelina euphoria receding the atmosphere is back to normal at Sindh Society in Baner, where the third day of the shooting passed off without any glitches.
Some teenaged girls residing near the three bungalows booked for shooting were unlucky in efforts to get autographs of the star couple.
“Pitt smiled and I shook hands with him when he came out of the greenroom. But he moved towards the other bungalow where the shooting was on without signing an autograph,” the college girl said excitedly.
Residents near the area who caught a glimpse of Jolie, who won an Oscar for her supporting role as a psychiatric patient in Girl, Interrupted, described her as of unparalleled beauty.
Jolie and Pitt, who co-starred as married assassins assigned to kill each other in the action comedy Mr. and Mrs. Smith, have become star attractions in India since the announcement of the film shoot in Pune.

Oh! …and by the way — if Thandie said what she did about AJ ‘being blacked up to play a black woman’ then she can go **** herself. With that statement, IF she made it, she didn’t need to be playing the French born Mariane NO WAY - it’s too bad, but she’s just as ****ed up as many of us here are in the U.S. when it comes to race (no surprise, being half African w/ a white mother in the heart of Anglo-Saxon territory) - but STILL, seeing as she’s mid-thirties and hopefully would have seen more of the world outside her own by now, it’s a sad commentary…that she doesn’t realize the diverse background of this woman lends itself to a cultural identity she may or may not share with Thandie. Or is Thandie raising her two half white kids by her white husband to be ‘BLACK.’ Somehow I doubt it. Seeing as she was scandalously f*****g some old white Australian director when she was 15 to 18 or so , she dated Brad Pitt in the mid nineties, and now she’s married to a white guy…I mean some might even say that maybe BOTH Brad and Angelina are more accepting of ‘black’ folks in their life and family…than Thandie.

see, i didn’t want to be the one to point this out. because i like thandie newton. my bff can’t stand her, though. says she looks like a gray gwyneth paltrow (and honestly, guys, she DOES). but my only issue with her is this–in EVERY role i’ve seen her in (with the exception of Crash) she’s playing the “exotic black girl” opposite some dorky looking white guy. what up with that? anyway, i’m not going to get into thandie bashing. i just had to get that out.

Mariane Pearl is European, and so am I. You would be rather surprised at how differently “black” is for an American, than for a European. I’d say , for a European, it’s about as attribute a person has, like hair or eye color. That’s how unimportant it is over there. I’m sorry if you don’t like to hear it, but over there, being black says no more than being blonde.

Thank God something good at last! The time is almost 9:00 pm in India so I bet the shooting is over for today. I hope that with the accident the paps will finally stop their overtop obsession and leave them alone for a minute .But that’s just wishful thinking of mine! LOL! I agree with you. We’ve been on this topic for days now….all that we can say has been said. It’s obvious where we stand and there’s no changing our minds. I know I can’t control what these people write, I can still exert some measure of control by not responding to them. We should stop allowing them hijack this thread, it seems they control what we discuss and I am tired of it.
Does anyone else feel like they need a valium ever since the Jolie-Pitts landed in India? A terrifying rickshaw ride, thigh or no thigh, Mickey’s incident, Angie right or not to play Marianne, Donald Trump and Larry King, motorcycle accident, donkeys. Whew lol.

Jennifer Aniston, taping The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday, said she has not broken up with Vince Vaughn, audience members tell PEOPLE.
Aniston, 37, who showed Room 10, the short film she co-directed as part of Glamour magazine’s “Reel Moments” series, said that contrary to rumor, she and Vaughn, 36, have not split (and are not engaged), audience member Rochelle Alfaro tells PEOPLE.
According to audience member Margaret Stent, Aniston also said that she hadn’t gotten breast implants, as one tabloid recently reported, explaining that when she gains weight, it goes to her chest. Aniston rolled her eyes when asked about Vaughn, adds Stent.
But the actress made it clear that she and Vaughn are “still on,” says Suzanne Hartigan, who traveled from Georgia to Chicago for the taping and adds that Aniston is “just as beautiful as she is in pictures.”
Hartigan’s pal Debi Musgrave, who says Aniston wore a black tiered skirt and tank top, seconds that the actress was “more beautiful in person, and very real.”
But Aniston was really there to talk about Room 10, about a nurse who gains perspective on her marital problems while caring for a dying patient. Patty Zutt, 49, says the film sends the message that there are “good and bad times in relationships and sometimes you have to just stay in the room – that’s all you can do during those hard times. It touched Jennifer, too.”
Adds Margaret Stent, “(The film) said that relationships aren’t luck, they’re hard work, and I think that was really meaningful to people – Jen got a little teary-eyed when she was talking about it, too. It was personally meaningful to her.”
The films in Glamour’s “Reel Moments” series are based on true stories from readers. “It was very empowering for women – seeing that a real story can be made in film,” says audience member and aspiring filmmaker Amy Ferguson.
On Tuesday before the taping, Winfrey and Aniston had dinner at the upscale French and Asian restaurant Japonais – which Aniston and Vaughn frequented while they were in Chicago filming The Break-Up in summer 2005. Their party of six chose to sit in a booth at the back of the main dining room rather than in a private area.
Both Winfrey and Aniston were very upbeat and friendly, sources tells PEOPLE, even though their fellow diners could not resist staring and trying to talk to them – at one point they were even joined by a group of Chicago Bears players
