Yes. And Brad working hard on this “Loveless relationship” was to understand and comfort her insecurities and neediness. Her ambition to be an A list actress while he was already on the top. Accompany her to every red carpet event as American Sweetheart’s hunky husband and be the Hollywood “Golden Couple” .And of course waiting for her to be comfort enough, responsible enough, mature enough, famous enough and generally available enough to have a family in his eighties. I keep reading about people who object to Angelina playing Marianne because she looks black and she does have some black blood in her and Angelina doesn’t.

But do people like “SR” and “Michelle” understand that this movie is not about a black woman losing a white husband. It’s about a woman who lost her husband because he was a reporter who was in Pakistan and got beheaded by the Pakistanis. It didn’t make her pain any greater or less just because she looks Black and had a white husband. And how that would not affect how Angelina portrays those emotions. Do you understand that this movie is not about a Black/Puerto Rican/ Chinese/ French woman who was look for justice for the death of her White husband? This is about a woman who was pregnant and went in search of finding the justice for her husband.

Jennifer Lopez, a Puerto Rican playing Selena, a Mexican is a different story because in the movie, it did deal with how there is a prejudice against Mexicans. And how Selena’s father was a Mexican who worked in America to support his family and their financial situation was poor because they were Mexican immigrants and trying to make it in America.

Kirsten Dunst getting flack for playing a French queen would bring flack also because their is long history between Americans and the French and it isn’t the greatest. So for her to play one of the most well known French figuers from history and getting criticized for is understandable.

My point is that the movie about Selena and Marie Antoinette does have to do with their ethnicity, race and the country they are from.

The story of Marianne Pearl is about a pregnant woman who lost her husband and was trying to find justice. Those people who killed Daniel Pearl killed him because he was an American Journalist. As far as I know Futterman and Jolie are both Americans. And Angelina Jolie is part French like Marianee Pearl, so she would be able to pull off a French accent. Also because she is a mom and just give birth herself, she can relate Marianne being pregnant back when she was in Pakistan looking for Pearl’s killers.

Renee Zellwegger didn’t get flack for playing a Brit in Bridget Jones’ diary.

Halle Berry is not getting flack for playing a White woman in an upcoming movie.

These women are not being criticized and neither should Angelina Jolie.

why are ya’ll bent out of shape about chin being on Okra again? what else has she got to do? NOTHING! that’s how truly sad her karmic train wreck of a life is these days. there’s nothing she can do or say to change what is. brad’s in india with angie and their 3 kids, shooting a film he’s producing (which is getting AMAZING free publicity thanks to the pigmentation obsessed!), saving the world, riding high on the success of the departed and being considered for an oscar for babel.

and what’s chin got? Okra and a phony position as VV’s beard. i say, let her have them! she’s hanging on by a thread!
