Angelina Jolie Reads “Crimes of War”
Angelina Jolie was just snapped reading “Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know” by Roy Gutman. Angelina, 31, was spotted reading the book on her way to the set of her upcoming film A Mighty Heart‘ in Pune, India. A Mighty Heart is about American journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain by terrorists in Pakistan four years ago. Angelina plays Daniel’s widow Mariane, on whose book of the same name the film is based upon.

Donkeys slow down the paparazzi as they chase Angelina through the crowded streets of Pune

The paparazzi assembled at Pune are showing no signs of weakening. Yesterday a cluster of them, 20-odd packed into five cars and a few more in autorickshaws, chased Angelina Jolie all the way from Le Meridien to Aundh. Angelina didn’t appear too perturbed, as she sat with her head studiously tucked into the book, Crimes of War.
As they reached Aundh, however, both the chasers and the chased came up against a unique roadblock – a pack of donkeys. Everything came to a standstill then, and the photographers could get a picture. In the hurry to get ahead, however, one of the paparazzi cars dashed into a passing motorbike, overturning it and injuring the couple riding on it. Residents of Aundh, a normally sleepy suburb of Pune, mustn’t be too happy with the extravaganza unfolding in their backyard, anyway. Now there’s speeding paparazzi posing a risk to their life and limb…
Meanwhile, there’s also rivalry brewing between the paparazzi. Apparently, some of them who were in an auto and couldn’t get near enough Angelina’s Merc because the way was being blocked by another paparazzi car, flashed a knife at the photographers in the car.
The message is loud and clear. Anything for a sneak peak through the lens at Angelina Jolie.

I wish people would stop saying that people “hate” angelina. I don’t think anyone “hates” her. That’s the cruelest thing you can say about her. “Haters” may be a nickname, but I think people are just being critical. |
I agree that hate is a strong word. But there have been people wishing death on Angie and her family. Someone started a thread on another blog saying CNN had announced she had drowned. I have read posts that wished Angie would crash her plane soon after having shiloh and that her C section would burst. Not to mention the awful names some have called her. Im sorry but, that sounds like hate to me.

I got this little from Heckler Spray regarding people that are complaining that Angie is playing a woman of mixed race; and I totally agree:

Please note here that the paps’ cars brushed the motorbike, while other stories said it was someone from Angie’s convoy. People are always in a hurry to put out information, we have to struggle to find out the truth.
I just get a kick out of Angelina Jolie. She at the age of 25 calls up the UN and asks if she can work for them. Then she proceeds to traipse all over the world helping refugees, donating money Her looks don’t fascinate me since she has no control over that but she surely does. What did Brad say?… ” She is a firecracker.” And she just turned 30. No wonder Mariane Pearl and Daniel’s family think she can tell their story.
127 | bluemoon |I read that book! It was AWESOME!! I’m going to Italy in the winter for 10 days, and I want to go to all the places she mentions in the Rome third of the book. I highly recommend the book. I hope Julia can speak Italian, because that third of the book is about her living and learning the language and developing the feeling that she belonged there. OMG I’m SO excited! Plan B strikes again!! I loved Running With Scissors too. I’m also recommending AMH to my reading group. That way, we’ll alll go see it together. :lol:

I can understand the recent incidence with security car in India. As I mentioned in previous sections, the traffic in India is really bad. People do not drive within the line and there are so so many motorcycles and they also do not care about cars, so that I was really scared to death of hitting motorcycles. Also there are people who intentionally drive their own motorcycles in front of cars to be hit and get compensation from the car owner.
I am sorry if I offended anybody from India.
But the above was my experience in India.
