How convenient though, non? That on the heels of such an unflattering article, she appears on Oprah under the guise of a short film she co-directed for Glamour Magazine and ‘made it clear’ after rolling her eyes that things were still ON with Vaughn. Such is the report at least from audience members at the taping yesterday with gushing praise for their favourite star - postergirl to the MiniVan Majority of course and heroine to every woman paranoid about losing her husband to the leggy, pillow-lipped secretary at work.

But here’s my question - can you still be with someone you were never with in the first place? If she’s never admitted to dating him, what does it mean now that she’s admitting to not breaking up with him?

I forgot to mention this before. I know people out there love to hate Lainey and love to think she is always wrong. I dont believe 100% of what I read anyway. I know she’s not fool proof. Having said that. I recall whe the news hit that Brad was going to adopt Madd and Z she said a source told her that Brad called Aniston with a heads up. Out of pitty perhaps lol anyway when she found out she was not happy about it. Now it wasn’t because she wanted to have sweet little babies with Brad still. It was because she was concerned over how it looked for her. That was the only issue.

Cut to last weeks Us Weekly and a source saying her concern over Brad and Angie is how they make her look. She looks like a failure.

Nick Lachey: It has been a long time.

DL: You were here with your then wife, the lovely Jessica [Simpson].

NL: Yes indeed.

DL: You were doing a show that was on MTV about being a newlywed at the time and, I don’t want to make you feel, maybe you don’t feel bad, I
can’t tell. But I would think that doing a show like that would maybe actually make the marriage stronger.

NL: Yeah. About that. [Audience laughs] Not so much. I don’t think so…It was among the dumber ideas I think I’ve ever seen executed in history.

DL: But at the time, there was every reason to do that show. People liked it.

NL: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And for a while, I think we actually enjoyed doing the show as well. It was just so invasive that it became a problem.

DL: Do you think that was why the marriage broke up?

NL: You know that’s one of those things where I think until you get enough hindsight and enough clarity and perspective, I don’t think you can really know what happened. But, I certainly think it was probably a factor.

DL: Are you still friends? Friendly?

NL: We are. And I think both of us have handled it about as well as we possibly could, under the microscope that we’re under and everything. But, I think, again, with time, it’ll give us a better opportunity to redefine our relationship.

DL: Have you learned anything from this?

NL: Absolutely nothing. I knew nothing going in. I know nothing now. No. I think the biggest thing I’ve learned is there’s a premium on keeping your private life private. And I think when you’re in this business, there’s always temptation to say more and say more and I think at some point, you have to draw that line and say, “This is for me. This is for us. And that’s for the public.”

DL: You’ll probably get married again one day though, right?

NL: I don’t know. It certainly hasn’t squashed my concept of love and marriage and all that. I mean, people always ask that, “Do you still
believe in love?” Of course! I think that certain situations are meant to work out and others aren’t. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t.

DL: Now, when I got divorced years and years and years ago, I spent a considerable amount of time thereafter drunk. I mean, really drunk.
[NL and audience laugh]

NL: It wasn’t quite that bad but, I definitely think you go through different phases and there’s certainly a phase of, “Oh, I don’t care about anything–I’m going to throw myself into a little bit of booze and kind of numb the pain.” And I went through a little bit of that and came out on the other side and still have some sobriety left.

DL: You don’t want to tell us who you’re seeing is apparently what you’re saying then?

NL: She will remain nameless. But she knows who she is!

DL: Well, that’s important.

NL: It’s important.

DL: It is important. I dated a girl one time who didn’t know who she was and for me it was easy. [Audience laughs]

Angie is closer to her Mom’s family as you would expect, than her Dad’s (I think this cousin said he knows Angie and James quite well, as Marcheline is his aunt…he’s quite cute, of course…looks more Native American than Angie & James do)

I don’t know if she’s even met her Dad’s brothers…but I love looking at the pics of them, and to hear them describe Barry, Angelina has a lot of the same traits. It sounds like a brilliant family.

India police tighten Jolie’s security after accident

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Indian police have stepped up security for Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie after a car in her convoy was involved in an accident in which a motorcyclist was slightly hurt, police said on Friday.

The car was carrying members of the film crew shooting “A Mighty Heart”, which stars Jolie, when it collided with the motorcycle in the western city of Pune on Wednesday, police said.

Nineteen-year-old Mittal Rawat who was on the bike suffered minor injuries, police said. They quoted him as saying that the car sped away after hitting his vehicle.

“We have increased the security for Ms. Jolie to see that incidents like this do not happen again.,” R.S. Khaire, a police officer in Pune, told Reuters by telephone. “We are not taking this incident lightly.”

Another police officer said a case had been registered against the driver of the car, and added that more police would now accompany Jolie on location.

Arti Surendranath of Kailash Picture Company, which is managing the film’s shooting schedule in India, said Jolie was not in the car which met with the accident.

“It’s a small incident which has been blown out of proportion,” she said.

“A Mighty Heart” is based on the life of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped in the Pakistani port city of Karachi and killed in 2002 while researching a report in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.

Oscar-winning Jolie who is playing the role of Pearl’s wife, Mariane, arrived in India last week with partner Pitt who is producing the film.

The movie is being shot in Pune because of security concerns in Pakistan.

The quiet city has been in a frenzy since the arrival of the celebrity couple. Hundreds of people are thronging the hotel where they are staying as well as the heavily guarded shooting location.

The press is always going to be up their butts about everything because they sell. a mere mention of Brad’s name on Oprah sent things off (even though she was comparing him to poop). If they can’t find facts they make things up or at the very least blow little things out of proportion. What concerns me is that it isn’t just tabloids anymore. so-called reputable networks and publications have jumped on the bandwagon. The more successful and happy Brad and Angelina become, the more they cement their realationship with family, the longer they last as a couple against all odds…..the more they are attacked and scrutinized. What is going on here is that when this exeptional couple got together under less than optimal conditions, It was “Yeah Brad wants to get him some of that Angelina.” mentality, and they were waiting for him to come undone when confronted with her “freakiness” . Now that not only did he prove them wrong on that point, but their relationship and careers are thriving, they must find other ways to bring them down. And they will not let truth get in the way! I see what’s really going on, and they do too.

I think what it boils down to is that Maniston’s fear of anonymity - of being a nobody, far outweighs her being a successful film actress who garners respect from her peers.

Neurosis sadly is right, most likely due to her low self-esteem (that she’d never admit)…she far more easily is able to see herself falling off the face of the earth and having NO career, than she is being an Oscar winner. …and so THAT is what is driving her to stay in the limelight, and put herself and her personal life out for consumption.

Part of her passive aggressiveness lies in the fact that she is so busy acting like she’s hot sh*t she won’t admit to thinking she herself is NOT hot sh*t. But she does. It’s what drives her, makes her whine, and bemoan (see the last ed. of US Mag) and basically made her make Brad’s life a living h*ll.

If she weren’t dumb enough to go to extremes, she might actually get somewhere, but unfortunately (for her), I believe she thinks thusly; Brad and Angelina are already respected and successful film actors in the industry with power….I am a tv sit-com star trying to get to their level…I cannot blink and make it so, it will take time and hard work which I am too lazy and incompetent to put in…but what I CAN do is take up space on Oprah’s couch and on the 7/11 magazine rack spilling the beans on my movie star ex and alluding to him and his new woman, while emphasizing my ’survivor’ skills to embittered jealous women everywhere…so that people don’t forget about me 3 years after ‘Friends’ has been of the air.

This is her priority, and I think she’s hoping that this kind of fascination (instead of hard work, and talent and respect from her peers) with her hair, her outfits and most especially her personal history….will garner her a movie career (notice how she’s whining now about the lack of big funny movies for women. It’s because she’s changed her strategy after having four flops of HER OWN, and some success with Vince’s film TBU. Her dream of being Meryl Streep (Bahahahaha!!) is kind of dead in the water. She wants to be a kind of ‘female Vince Vaughn’ and she’s NOW looking for the same kind of sh*tty scripts that put him on the map (Old School, TBU, Dodge Ball, etc.) but she cannot find any…and she sure can’t write them herself, she’s no Tina Fey — so she’s complaining about it publicly, maybe in the hopes that some writer will forward their funny project to her. She is at the point where she thought she’d never be post Friends, and that is, having to ride ‘Rachel Green’ to movie stardom, instead of being the dramatic actress she always wanted to be…competing with paltrow, Jolie, and on par with her husband.

Sorry Jen. At best you are the Ray Romano…only not as talented, not a comedian, and not a writer, as he is. Your problem, that he shares, is that people don’t want to see him on the big screen unless he’s a cartoon wooly mammoth. Madonna adoption bid challenged

Madonna visited several orphanages while in Malawi
A Malawian child rights group has said it wants to stop Madonna adopting a child from the African country.
The organisation, Eye of the Child, said it would seek a court injunction if the government did not halt its interim order approving the adoption.

“It’s not like selling property,” the group said in a statement.

Madonna is thought to have flown out of Malawi on Friday without the child, having filed adoption papers to adopt the one-year-old, called David Banda.

Passport wait

Eye of the Child said it was “about safeguarding the future of a human being who, because of age, cannot express an opinion”.

Another Malawian human rights group, the Civil Liberties Committee, said it would back the Eye of the Child in its bid to stop the interim adoption approval.

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie left Malawi without the child, a senior immigration officer told the Reuters news agency.

Madonna recently finished her world Confessions tour

“The baby hasn’t gone yet because immigration is still trying to process his passport,” he said.

Malawian officials said they expected David to spend time with Madonna while waiting for final adoption approval - a process which could take up to two years.

Embassy officials will monitor how the child gets on, and a decision will be made based on their findings, according to a senior government official.

The child had been cared for at the Home of Hope Orphan Care Centre in a village close to the border with Zambia, after his mother died a month after his birth from related complications.

Concerns

The boy’s father, Yohame Banda, has agreed to the adoption.

And the chief of Lipunga, the village where the child was born, said he also approved.

“If we didn’t send David away to the orphanage we would have buried him,” he said.

But the boy’s uncle, Pofera Banda, said he wanted to know how the family would benefit if the adoption went through.

“We have seen other parents at the mission who have had their children adopted still living in their poverty.

“They have not seen their children - all they see is pictures sent to them. We don’t want that to happen to this family,” he said.

Madonna said she had travelled to the region with her husband, film-maker Guy Ritchie, to help fight poverty and the problem of HIV and Aids.

She has pledged to donate about $3m (£1.6m) to help 900,000 orphans in Malawi.

The 48-year-old already has two children, five-year-old son Rocco and nine-year-old daughter Lourdes.

These so called media really need to get on the ball about checking facts for a story that wil air on TV or online. You must triple check everything in a story before it goes out. A day after reports that Jennifer Aniston told Oprah Winfrey that she and Vince are “still on,” David Arquette told the “Jamie, Jack & Stench Show” on Los Angeles radio station STAR 98.7 that rumors of Jen and Vince’s breakup aren’t true.
“That is complete horse doo-doo,” Arquette told the STAR 98.7 morning crew. “It’s so funny, they say stupid things like, ‘Why’d Vince leave?’ or something like that. And the answer is because he’s doing a movie! I mean, come on people!”

Arquette, of course, is married to Courteney Cox-Arquette, Jen’s good friend from their days on “Friends.”

US Weekly’s October 16 issue bared the headline “Why Vince Left Jen” and reported that Jen gave Vince back a $500,000 engagement ring. In addition to saying the breakup rumors weren’t true, Aniston told Oprah the couple is not engaged.

A day in the life of a paparazzi

Pune: For the past week the paparazzi has flied into Pune to pounce on their next prey - Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their family.

The paparazzi as a breed are quite apart from the regular photojournalist. Forget who they work for these people don’t even reveal their names.

Feared by celebrities across the world, the paparazzi have been camping in Pune for the last week keeping a close watch on the world’s most famous couple.

You name it and they are all in Pune: the British, American, and even the French from agencies such as Splash and Window to the World.

Hoping to catch Pitt or Jolie in Le Meridian lobby, they’re spending hours in the hotel lounge or waiting at the out gate ready to chase on rickshaws rented for Rs 500 a day.

The paparazzi have parked themselves even at the railway station just in case Brangelina decide to take a train ride.

While the Indian media is content shooting Angelina on her way to the movie set, the paparazzi don’t really care. According to them, that’s not where the money is.

In fact, a picture of Angelina in the hotel elevator is worthless and holds no value since it could have been taken in any elevator of the world.

Yes, Angelina taking a ride on the train - unaware - is where the money is. Geographic symbolism is important according to them.

The paparazzi operate differently too. While the Indian media keep their cameras ready - these guys always keep their equipment well hidden. The key is not to reveal one’s identity.

Most celebrity bodyguards and hotels keep a track of the paparazzi. And yes, you never give interviews after you’ve been beaten. It’s all a part of the game.

The money may be big but there’s homework involved. Almost always the hotel staff are paid handsome advances in exchange of information.

A family at the Sindh society where A Mighty Heart is being shot was offered Rs 14,000 by the paparazzi to use their home for a day.

The wait is endless but the pot at the end of the rainbow is pure gold as one snap could mean everything and it’s this lure that keeps the paparazzi trigger-happy.

To Whom It may concern,

I viewed the “Did Jolie and Pitt stiff Namibia?” video and I think that the people at MSNBC should publish a retraction to your video. The source of the story is from radaronline which said that the Jolie - Pitts did not give $300,000 to the schools and only gave donated $15,000 to them. The truth is that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie only promised a donation of $15,000 to the schools which they fulfilled. The rest of the money was promised to the hospitals in Namibia.

I would expect that a MSNBC would not resort to showing false tabloid -like stories in the form of journalism. It brings down your integrity as trustworthy journalists and paints MSNBC as a tabloid news source that is out to falsely malign people. The so called media really needs to get on the ball about checking facts for a story that will air on TV or online.

A gossip site reporter is better at checking facts rather than MSNBC. Here is what she wrote:

“A few days ago, Radar Online printed a story about the Chosen Family’s suspect Namibian donation. I referenced the article on Wednesday with information from sources of my own, sources who were skeptical about the piece and who advised caution before accusing the Pitts of reneging on their philanthropic obligations - serious allegations, non?

At the urging of a few readers, I contacted Ivanna Iafigliola-Kriner, co-founder of the DRC School Project & Community Centre, the very school that the Pitts are alleged to have stiffed in the Radar article. I asked Ms Kriner the following: I have heard from many of my readers indicating that you have refuted the Radar Online claims and I am writing to find out from you directly if the US$15,000 was received by the DRC.
Ms Kriner: Yes we did receive the donation and are very grateful to Angelina and Brad for their support.

Point of the story?

The Pitts aren’t cheap. They didn’t bail on Namibia. But in a country where the need is so great and only so much can be pledged, it’s entirely understandable for other organizations to try to reach out as much as they can.

The next gossip on X will be that she is pregnant, since she admitted that her breasts grew bigger and that she gained weight. Its possible thats why probably she wants to tell the world that that he and Vince are still together. I suppose its not good that she got dumped even if pregnant. Maybe thats why she is hanging on to him.

I wonder why Vince is so quiet about this thing, if ever he should be the one to say first that they are together. If they are together, why is Vince for the past 2 months been on his own going to Las Vegas, Toronto and now London.
