Angelina Jolie Filming on the Set of ‘A Mighty Heart’
Here are the latest snapshots of Angelina Jolie as Mariane Pearl on the set of A Mighty Heart in Pune, India. Angie seems to be very happy, waving and smiling for the cameras. Her security officer, Mickey Brett, looks pretty in pink!!! (; Thanks, Ell & Estelle!!

How funny. I am the same way. Never really into the celeb thing before BP and AJ. In fact everytime I see them I remember to appreciate my huusband more. I am not sure about the effect they have on people. I hope someone writes a scientific article on it soon because this interest is really amazing me. I never blogged before I found this site. It can not be just me, because the BP/AJ threads are always popular whereas all the other celebs get relatively few hits.
872 | Anna | Thanks for posting, but Megan Mullally is an aweful interviewer
874 | QQQQ
yea she kinda sucks, but if anyone is interested, he talks about her at 4:20 and he talks about the documentary she put him in.
Megan she interview with her will and grace personality. that would be funnier.

Thanks for the link and I agree 4Q I don’t like her style at all.
clinique:
I remember reading that “…enter the marriage with the reasons not completely honest…” in wikipedia . But a month later, it was taken off of the wikipedia.
870 | Missouri Fan | - Hey MF, how are you? Thanks for the video, it is beautiful and I love the song, love when they were talking about love, they are so meant for each other
784 | bdj | ITA with your views. I don’t care what the tablies
report on the state of Brad and Angelina’s relationship. I’m sure
they don’t know anymore about that then we do - really. We see
what we want to see, though I have to say, from what I see, they
seem very happy and together:)
However, allegations about their charitable efforts - like bilking a
charity for 15K and basically accusing them of being no longer
interested in Namibia is wrong and DAMAGING to really
worthwhile causes. As Brad himself said, its important for
celebrities to remain engaged in their causes and not be doing it
for short term publicity, or else, involvment of a celebrity in a
cause may do MORE HARM THEN GOOD. I agree with that
observation. So when the tablies essentially state that Brad and
Angelina no longer care about Namibia because they can’t be
bothered sending a 15k cheque, that disturbs me because it has
a wider impact on people (yeah, they are just doing it for publicity,
who cares, don’t want to read about the issues).
I don’t generally lurk beyond Just Jared and Lainey and
Brangelinafans and Brad news, but I must admit, I sent a couple
of websites, copies of Lainey’s write up (full credits to Lainey,
including links) to correct this misrepresentation by the press
and asking them to retract. Not that they will but at least other
lurkers can see it. I do believe this is important not for Brad and
Angelina but for the causes they support which are worthwhile
causes.
874 | QQQQ | - I agree as well 4Q, not a very good interviewer, I like JLM
I sent a letter too. You can see it on the yahoogroup.
mine was addressed to the editor in chief and associate editor - all names found on the website of the magazine in question.
I actually told them that it is pretty embarrassing when a gossipfan like Perez can fact find yet they…who eseentially have more $$$ can’t.
They need a letter from a lawyer (sites publishing false reports on donations) - THAT is what they need. Hopefully, a Brangelina legal team is on it.
870 | Missouri Fan | Thanks for posting MF, i loved it
There is a comment by Ivanna Kriner at the site of US Weekly.
Ivanna Kriner Says:
Please correct the information in your report. The $15,000 donation was not to Build a school it was a donation made to us, a local welfare organization (DRC School Project & Community Centre).

I read your letter on the yahoo group and I am very impressed. You don’t mess around, do you? LOL

Thanks for the youtube link. I just love the interview clips before and after the music.
Sony’s horror sequel bumped the previous weekend’s top film, the Warner Bros. release “The Departed,” to second place. “The Departed,” a mob epic from Martin Scorsese, took in $18.7 million, lifting its 10-day total to $56.6 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
With a strong hold from its opening weekend, “The Departed” is on its way to becoming Scorsese’s biggest hit. The film is expected to surpass the $102.6 million gross of his 2004 drama “The Aviator,” said Dan Fellman head of distribution for Warner Bros.

“I’ve searched everywhere or this, with no luck. Also, California is a no-fault divorce state, meaning “fault” does not have to be stated or proven. This makes me think that reports of X saying they entered the marriage with dishonest reason or some such stuff, are probably not true.
I’m positive we’ll NEVER hear from Brad anything about it, and the only one publicity-hungry enough to do it is X (esp. if it turns out she’s shunned in Hollywood for back-stabbing Brad, feeling the sting, and doing the ususal, defending herself in public).”
This is how I see it also.

“I think Brad loved X, He is no dumb. You fell in love and you fell out of love. Its so simple.”
This is too how I see it. To add to this, I strongly believe that it happened long before meeting Angelina.
I posted this on the SMH site:
Please correct your misrepresentation that Brad and Angelina has
bilked the Namibians of $420K. At least $15k of that has been
disbursed.
I don’t expect a reputable newspaper like Sydney Morning Herald
to print serious allegations such as this without properly checking
the sources. We find out from a Canadian gossip columnist who
took the trouble to find out what happened to the $15K by simply
emailing the source.
The provision of funds to purchase hospital equipment may not
have been disbursed yet, I don’t know. But having been involved
to some extent with charitable donations of medical equipment, I
can tell you that charitable donations of medical equipment to a
3rd world country, which is not exactly uncorrupted can be
complex. You should ensure that technicians are trained to use
the equipment (you simply cannot assume that there are people
who know how to use and maintain the equipment and in this
case, interpret the results). Training is involved. I for one would
never recommend anyone give a donation of this sort without
ensuring that the donation benefits the people. This means
working with the hospital to ensure that all the pieces are in place,
whether it be the technicians to run it, the doctors to understand
the scan, the room to place the equipment, the electricity supply
- regular without power surges to run the machines. Otherwise,
there’ll be a machine which no one knows how to use properly,
and misdiagnosis occuring, or worse, just sitting in the corridor
somewhere. It happens more then you think.
Anyway, there is the link to where the $15k went:

The Pitts: No Fishy Philanthropy
Reference articles here here and here.
A few days ago, Radar Online printed a story about the Chosen
Family’s suspect Namibian donation. I referenced the article on
Wednesday with information from sources of my own, sources
who were skeptical about the piece and who advised caution
before accusing the Pitts of reneging on their philanthropic
obligations - serious allegations, non?
At the urging of a few readers, I contacted Ivanna Iafigliola-Kriner,
co-founder of the DRC School Project & Community Centre, the
very school that the Pitts are alleged to have stiffed in the Radar
article. I asked Ms Kriner the following: I have heard from ma
881 | Kearnie | Fantastic job, very impressive… The media is really in a sad state, it’s all about money.
The rest.
At the urging of a few readers, I contacted Ivanna Iafigliola-Kriner,
co-founder of the DRC School Project & Community Centre, the
very school that the Pitts are alleged to have stiffed in the Radar
article. I asked Ms Kriner the following: I have heard from many of
my readers indicating that you have refuted the Radar Online
claims and I am writing to find out from you directly if the US
$15,000 was received by the DRC.
Ms Kriner: Yes we did receive the donation and are very grateful
to Angelina and Brad for their support.
Point of the story?
The Pitts aren’t cheap. They didn’t bail on Namibia. But in a
country where the need is so great and only so much can be
pledged, it’s entirely understandable for other organisations to try
to reach out as much as they can.

the tip.

Angelina Jolie of Beyond Borders
Featured interview by Daniel Robert Epstein, contributing editor
Angelina Jolie is all about causes these days, having spent time in Africa and been witness to the nastiness that goes on over there. We think she’s going to be a big success, primarily because…well, she’s hot. OK, it’s superficial, but come on – we can’t be the only ones for whom it’s easier to listen to someone spout off about some cause or other if they’re easy on the eyes. It certainly helped us be even more attentive than usual in this interview with the star of Beyond Borders.
UGO:How does doing Beyond Borders compare to doing Tomb Raider movies?
Angelina Jolie:They’re very different. It’s another side of you. We all have something we do for fun to have a great time. Lara [Croft] is great for travel and adventure, but it’s that thing that fills your soul or teaches you something. These heavy films do that, but you also get to be part of something that says things that matters. It would be hard to do films only like Beyond Borders, because they are hard to get done. They are rare to get together but I would like to look for more projects like this in-between fun projects.
UGO:Is it unusual for a script to affect you in such a way that sends you off in a whole other direction in your life?
AJ:Yeah, I suppose it is, but everyone has had that thing that made us feel differently and choose another path in your life. I didn’t understand what it meant it then I found myself in a country like in the movie and it completely changed me. I didn’t handle it like Sarah Jordan did, I was a mess.
UGO:What was it like filming this heavy stuff?
AJ:It was inspiring to be around these people who are in the field every day helping people who help people. They smile, strong and funny. You can’t ask for better people to be around. In Africa, we were around thousands of people who have seen a lot of poverty, but they were fun at the end of the day. We had a good time together. They taught me about being a mom, like carrying my child in a sling.
UGO:You mentioned before that you might not have been as strong as this character. I thought you were Sean Connery in The Untouchables.
AJ:I can be strong, but I broke down a lot doing this. I had a moment of calling my mother and I heard her voice and I just lost my mind and was crying for two hours.
UGO:The love story is so intense in this. What did you do to prepare for that?
AJ:I’ve lost great loves in my life, and I’ve had to make sacrifices for that. Sarah’s marriage ends while she is helping people. My marriage ended during this film, and sometimes in life, you have to make choices that make you give up other things that mean a lot to you. The fact that my marriage ended during this movie made me really tired. Having a baby makes you exhausted. I think your personal life does affect you while you’re working but, in this business, you have to figure out how to make it work for you, because it can’t just come out all the time. When you do think about it, I tended not to whine about it, because my son was healthy. Mad’s healthy and we’re going to be fine.
UGO:Do you hope this film inspires change?
AJ:I hope that this film causes people to start paying attention to things across the world. The famine in Ethiopia in this film is not that different today. That Chechnya is still a very dangerous place. The Thai-Cambodia border still has landmines there. I was in Pakistan two weeks before 9/11 because there were three million people that had been there for 20 years. They were exploding into the cities. It’s horrible, so you can also track the movement of people in the world. There are all these resources in the world that are clearly being bought by warlords and governments.
UGO:What has having a child done for you?
AJ:I’ve learned to be more patient. He’s really made me a woman. All the nurturing and maternal stuff inside me has come out. I laugh again with him; he reminds how to be a little kid. He comes with me everyday on every movie. I had to make sure my tent had mosquito tents and things to keep out scorpions.
UGO:Tomb Raider 2 wasn’t as successful as anyone would have liked. How does that affect you?
AJ:It doesn’t really. That’s just what happens in a competitive summer, because I think it was a better movie than the first one. Somehow, it didn’t come out at the right time. So I don’t think you could put so much weight on it.
UGO:What movies are you doing next like that?
AJ:The World of Tomorrow is big, but it’s hard to explain. It was all blue screens. Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a movie I’m doing with Brad Pitt. We’re a married couple with problems.
UGO:We heard that you might be taking some time off soon.
AJ:I take at least two months off in-between every movie to spend time with Maddox and travel for the UN. When Maddox starts school, I want to adopt another baby. That’s in a few months.
UGO:Where is your home now?
AJ:In England.
UGO:Do you think Clive Owen would make a good James Bond?
AJ:He would and he is. I want to audition for the bad guy.
881 | Kearnie | - Kearnie I read your letter on the YG, WOW that was a GREAT letter, you ROCK Kearnie.
