I was watching CNN today and they had a segment on Malawi. One part focused on a 9 year old girl who was cooking on a makeshift stove. She had become the parent to her own mother who is dying, not living with, but dying of AIDS. This is a generation of children who must take care of their own parents. These children are the ones out looking for food, they’re the ones made to physically protect their parents and younger siblings from predators. The adoption laws in Malawi don’t have to be thrown away but they do have to change and change quick.

Hey guli, I don’t what’s wrong w/ my video because I’m watching it right now on youtube….it’s probably the site because this past weekend it wasn’t working for me. When I added a video to my playlist it would add it twice. But a few minutes later it was fine. I would at least think that things would change around once google bought it . I guess I was wrong lol

Dude. We don’t know where they were. They may not have even been in Pune. I’m sure Brangelina would be moved to tears to know of your concern for there well-being, but stop thinking that just because you see a still pic, you’re aware of the circumstances behind it.

Madonna has written an open letter to the press to explain the reasons around her and Guy’s adoption of baby David:

My husband and I began the adoption process many months prior to our trip to Malawi.
I did not wish to disclose my intentions to the world prior to the adoption happening as this is a private family matter.
After learning that there were over one million orphans in Malawi, it was my wish to open up our home and help one child escape an extreme life of hardship, poverty and in many cases death, as well as expand our family.
Nevertheless, we have gone about the adoption procedure according to the law like anyone else who adopts a child. Reports to the contrary are totally inaccurate.
The procedure includes an 18-month evaluation period after which time we hope to make this adoption permanent.
This was not a decision or commitment that my family or I take lightly.
I am overwhelmed and inspired by my trip to Malawi and hope that it helps bring attention to how much more the world needs to do to help the children of Africa.
My heartfelt thanks for all the good wishes I have received and I hope the press will allow my family some room for us to experience the joy we feel to have David home.

Both Mad and Z were already 7 month old when adopted by AJ.

Maddox was born August 5, 2001 and adopted March 10, 2002.

Zahara was born January 8, 2005 and adopted July 6, 2005.

Shiloh is now 4 1/2 month old. She was born May 27, 2006.

oh that makes my heart hurt! there is no describing the depth of good madge and angie have done by adopting david & zahara. if madge had just handed over some cash, david’s future could have been like that little girl you described. not to mention all the health risks he’d have to face, AIDS included. zahara might have died if brad & angie hadn’t found her. there’s just no way i can even think about criticizing somebody because they adopt or where they adopt from. there’s too many precious little lives at stake.

I TA ,this is very true.
What you said about the weather conditions conducive to illnesses is something to consider when taking a baby out. Their personal physician must have advised them also.
Sure I miss Shiloh but I can wait until they get
back here in the US. JJ alert ….. They only have about 2 weeks left in INDIA.

So what did you not see the footage of the first ride…..man you worshipers are really getting bad….so these two can do NO wrong. it was most definitaely BAD jusdgement to put those children back in that rick shaw and if you don’t think so…..you’ve lost your minds. These two are capable of mistakes and they’ve just made another one. This is about the 5th glaring mistake since they’ve been in this country.

I repeat, we don’t even know if this was in the same city, or place — and furthermore just because they’re in an auto rikshaw that doesn’t imply a crate of boxes on a 10 speed. They could be in Goa, or in a totally diff part of Pune..you’re only seeing the inside of the vehicle you dunce. Shaddup, and go fret over Daisy being out at the beach with no sunblock on her fur.

I’m just wondering why you never see their biological child with them. Are they trying to prove something by always having the other 2 with them, like letting everyone know that they are not going to forget the other 2. While it looks bad that they never have baby shiloh with them.
