Keith Urban Enters Rehab
BREAKING! Keith Urban checked himself into a rehab for alcohol abuse last night with his wife Nicole Kidman by his side. A statement was released:
“I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me. One can never let one’s guard down on recovery, and I’m afraid that I have.”
It’s been less than four months since his marriage to Nicole. Keith turns 39 next week and has publicly acknowledged a former addiction to cocaine. Get well soon, Keith!

Keith Urban’s ex did warn. His behaviour must’ve been bad to enter rehab. I wonder if she’s having 2nd thoughts about having a baby with an alcoholic?? Maybe she should have a girly chat to Heather Mills McCartney, or Robyn Gibson, Denise Richards, Sara Evans…
Kini it’s funny you said that because when I told my mom this her first question was, “Did Nicole drive him to drink?” I wish him the best…he is one of my favorite country artists. I do find it ironic that he has been sober for years and merely 4 months after they get married he’s drinking again.
I knew this would happen, when I heard she was going to marry this guy. I wondered why Nicole would marry a man with a substance abuse history. I guess Nicole isn’t too smart.
*And the person who brought Paul McCartney into this, leave him out of this. that golddigger he married is lying on him, so she can get soul custody of the child and get a billion dollars plus in the divorce settlement.
How sad! Just when I was getting hip to his music. I saw his video the other day “Better Life” (yes, for the first time) and now I’m hooked! Anyway, I hope there’s a better life waiting for him after he gets out of rehab. Oh, and D Richards, I think you meant ’sole’ custody, not ’soul’ custody. Unless you were trying to be funny. hehe.

this is a perfect way out of the marriage for Nicole-she gets all the credit for trying and then some for a broken heart. all of that in time for the awards season.
I just wish Keith the best of luck on his recovery!! It takes guts to admit that you have a problem and face it. He is a true hero in my book. I love him and his music and I will continue to support him.
I give him props for admitting he has a problem. That is a HUGE step with an addict. Knowing that he does have a problem and he is doing something about it is awesome. I wish him well and hope he gets on track soon. I am a true fan and I will support him in this time in his career. Good Luck Keith!! And the vows say “For better or for Worse” too many people bail when there is any kind of trama!! I hope she stands by her man in his time of need.
Many people close to KU have gone on record over the last year saying he had giving up drinking completely. I think she caught him doing something else she didn’t like and blackmailed him into going to rehab so she could file for divorce and not look like the bad guy.
It’s VERY fishy to me she goes to London to film, Rome for film festival, then to Kosovo (all with out Keith) then a few days before supposed to meet Keith in Australia she shows up in TN to escort him to rehab? If he had enough planning for her to fly in to “be by his side” why didn’t anyone notify the band? They showed up and started preparing for Friday’s concert! Something isn’t right.
I am not bordered by any of these artist, I wish him the best….That said it’s safe to say the marriage is DOOMED!!!

I have a feeling this marriage is not gonna work. he’s on rehab. alcohol or coke. I don’t know about alcoholic but it’s not easy to stop coke its like chain smoking only one third curb the addiction.
Im a fan of keith, I wish him well, and hope he can fight the demon, because thats what any addiction is..I hope it doesn’t destroy thier marriage..good luck to Keith!

She and her PR have public denied they make such ridiculous comment. in fact she force the Sun or the Daily to publicly apologize this news. it’s another creation of the tablod media.
Funny thing is that this happened at the same time that Keith’s ex, Nikki Taylor, got engaged to a Nascar driver. Is this a coincidence??? Also read somewhere that Keith was trying to contact Nikki three wee befroe he married Nicole.
This is crap guys. I feel so sorry for the both of them. Those comments about angelina jolie weren’t made by Nicole by the way!! Good luck keith and good on nicole for standing by her man. No person is perfect and u must respect and deal with the weaknesses. Too many people, seemingly a lot of u guys would give up to easily. He can overcome this and just because he entered rehab doesn’t mean he is abusing again but he may feel the threat of abusing. God bless both of them and a safe and speedy recovery

Those comments were made by Nicole. She just got the Irish newspaper to retract that she made those comments to their newspaper. In fact she made those comments in a British magazine. Her PR machine at work again to make her look good, just like they will now make her look like poor nicole even though she has lots of secrets she should get help for.

I really wish everyone would just leave them alone!! Keith has made a very brave step by admitting he has a problem. I wish him all the luck in the world in his recovery. He is a very talented artist and I can’t wait until he gets back out on the road. But, we should be prayer for his health first not for the demise of his marriage. You people are cruel. He is brave and honest. I respect anyone who gets help and tries to better themselves and puts it out there instead of hiding it!! He is not a phony like most of the so called “Hollywood types”. Get better Keith!!!

Nic only arrived back in Nashville on Friday - i.e. it was the first time Keith had been on his lonesome since the wedding. She must’ve found him in a sorry state because his concert in Connecticut that night was cancelled and he was whisked into rehab instead. I’m sure Nic expected a different welcome home from work honey song than that. I hope she paddles his sorry backside all the way up the twelve steps and back!

And who is she to talk, she is not even raising her own children, she left them in California with TomKat and took off to live across the country with her man. She chose her man over her children. If she was any kind of decent mother, she would have insisted that that drug/alkie man move to California so she can be with her children. She is never at any of her childrens games, only TomKat can be seen at those games.
Angelina on the other hand is a great mother, and is raising her babies. So Nicole has some damn nerve taking shots at Angelina.

Bullshit!! NK DID say that quote not to that British or Irish tab which apologized but to the UK Red Magazine. I scanned the part where she talked about Angelina and the cover photo of that mag. It was Sept edition. Red magazine did’t apologize because it was a legitimate interview. Kudos ArabianFan….I hadn’t seen that article. Just what I needed….another reason to not like that phony phony “humanitarian”. In my opinion Nicole doesn’t do anything unless she feels it will make her look good or gain sympathy. Everything seems to be about her her her. Personally I thought her career was in the toilet long ago and she just grabbed onto Keith to be in the limelight again. Even though Tom is a wierdo too, she leached off of his fame, then tried to latch onto Lenny Kravitz when he was big … and then on to Keith. She is a human leach. We all know Keith had some problems before Nicole, but I am sure the pressures of living up to being “little miss perfect’s” husband has alot to do with what he is going through now. Sherry - Nic grabbing on to Keith to be in the limelight? What planet are you from? Nic is an international superstar. Keith is a NOBODY outside of the U.S., Canada and Australia. His fame is limited to the country music genre.
Whoever said Niki Taylor was an airhead knows NOTHING about her. Read up on her. She has been through an amazing amount of tragedy in her life and has overcome it and started an amazing and wonderful foundation called Begin to help women start their own businesses.
She is a class act and everyone who knows her will tell you that. Keith remained friends with her after she had to break it off with him for his cheating.
He wrote a beautiful song about her called I Could Fly on his Be Here album. Compare that to Once in a Lifetime. Seriously one is deep and meaningful and theother is a walking cliche thrown together that took other writers to help even get that out.
The best thing Niki ever did for herself and the kids who actually live WITH her was dump his cheating self.
Joann…Nicole may have been big at one time…but she has been going nowhere fast in my opinion. And what more does Keith need to be know for but his music. Keith is known as a womanizer around Nashville. His former girlfriend of 7 years left him her name is Laura Sigler (not Niki Taylor who was another girlfriend of his) because of womanizing and drink and drugs. I hope he can get the help he needs and get through this.

Take a look at the K-United board and you will see new pics of Nicole out and about at a movie premier while Keith is in rehab in Tenn. Maybe she isn’t a part of his recovery. I know when my daughter was in rehab we were required to be apart of her recovery. Maybe these are old pics.

You are so right. I thought about that too. It was announced on one of the entertainment shows, which we know doesn’t make it the truth! There are plenty of good rehab centers in LA.
The show said he was at Cumberland Heights in Tennessee. This is where he was before for cocaine. It probably isn’t true……who knows? Sometimes the entertainment shows have it right.
Addicts tend to look for ways to resolve their problems thru the wrong outlet, you people are blaming everyone but the person who did the deed! He’s a grown man, fully capable of making choices, he made some wrong ones, he’s admitted to them, he’s going for help, we’ll see how it turns out. Quit blaming Nicole for this mess, so she went out to a movie, heaven forbid, she’s suppose to stay home and twiddle her thumbs, leave her alone, don’t pass judgement on Keith or Nicole, and those that are negative about their marriage aren’t helping anything!! Yes, Keith will be running away as soon as he gets out of rehab. He will take Nicole with him and move back to Australia, to be as far away as possible from the booze-heads and coke-heads of Nashville.

My thing with all of this is that yes it is a sad thing for anyone to enter into rehab. There are a lot of people going through this daily but I see so many of his obsessive fans sitting here going I can’t think about anything else, can’t sleep good for nights in a row, the man is not dying and they are acting like he is. Get a grip and deal with your own life instead of obsessing about a man who doesn’t even know you exist here. I’d hate to see their reaction if he were on his death bed. And these are the same people who damned him for marrying Nicole, the same people who hated her with a passion before they got married who now feel for her. I say let him be, worry about yourself, your own life and families because the man is not God and you all seriously need to realize this. There are a hell of a lot more important things going on in this world than Keith in rehab, like our soldiers dying daily, children with no homes and his ’so’ called fans can only sit and cry day in and day out since this news broke. Hence why Keith himself said FAN is short for FANATIC, these people are taking it over the line and are literally insane! What it boils down to is he will always be an addict, even when he recovers that’s a fact, its been stated by recovered alcoholic and drug addicts. The rest of his life will be spent recovering and he will always be an addict. Stop and take a long hard look at how some of you are acting over all of this! Its not worth it seriously people. And maybe she did drive him to start drinking, she’s stone cold and thinks she’s better than everyone! She’s not!

He’s not the only person on this earth…there are hundreds of people in rehab and no one gives a fig about them. Just b/c they are not famous. He’s a great musician…and talented yet, as you said….he is not God. There are much more other things of greater importance to worry about in this world than him entering rehab and these people that can’t sleep or eat b/c he’s there…frankly…need to have their heads examined!

About the comment about someone saying they hope Nicole don’t have to clean up after Keith like Heather Mills did Paul is crap! Heather Mills is a LIAR!!! Paul McCartney did not beat her. Paul done nothing to have to clean up after him for drinking wise I mean anyway. They have servants they should clean up if anyone should.
You can hear snippets of his new album on Barnes and Noble.com and Wal-Mart.com. As I posted elsewhere, I have all of his albums and this one is more mellow. I wonder if it didn’t turn out quite as he expected. I miss the upbeat fast songs from his other albums. I hope it does well for him.
Why is it that we want to put down people who are successful? I especially find it strange to see women putting down women. We could all be supporting each other rather than pulling each other down. Nicole Kidman is doing what she can do to support other women, can we not do that for her? She’s just a human being, flawed like all of us. She’s a good actress yet is struggling to have a real life off the screen with the whole world watching. The world of the movie actor is distorted as our culture seems to think we all need an idol rather than looking inward to ourselves and exploring our own psyche rather than someone else’s who we don’t even know.
when i found out that keith went to rehab i was not sad i was happy he needed to be cure i prayed to god to keep him safe i hope that keith walks with god
