On a live conference call with The OC’s Rachel Bilson and creator Josh Schwartz. Anybody have any questions to ask them??
UPDATE :: Thanks for the questions! Asking q’s was really last minute… I nearly forgot about the call altogether! Whoops! A few SPOILER tidbits from the call with Rachel & Josh:
- Che (Chris Pratt) will be sticking around for a number of episodes as a svengali/spiritual guru for Summer (Rachel Bilson).
- Kaitlin (Willa Holland) will have a romantic storyline with Will Tutt (Chris Brown) in the second half of the season.
- Jimmy Cooper (Tate Donovan) will be back for sure.
- Will Marisa (Mischa Barton) be back as a ghost or a flashback? Josh said, “You’ll have to watch and see but her character will be very much in the fabric of the show, whether she herself is back or not.”
- Will Taylor (Autumn Reeser) become a love interest for Ryan (Ben McKenzie)? Josh said, “Taylor will play a big part of the show this year. Before she can become a love interest for Ryan, first they have to become friends. But she is the ideal person to help pull Ryan out of the darkness and towards the light. She’s just sort this force of nature. She brings out a really different side of Ryan, so their scenes together are a lot of fun and the actors have a lot of fun doing them.”
- Josh Schwartz is working on a number of pilots right now for NBC and The CW. He’s also working on a movie with Paramount.
- Rachel Bilson has already started filming Jumper and The O.C. concurrently.
Rachel and Josh seem to both have a lot going on professionally, so it would seem that this fourth season will probably be The O.C.’s last. And I agree with Mr. Ausiello that the opening sequence of the fourth episode really is fantastic with Summer working through the five stages of grief. And Taylor? Gah! Her storyline makes me love her even more! (Hint: Love affair with France)

This can’t be OC’s last season!! I mean seriously?? At least let’s see how the new episode will go. It looks like Josh has totally given up…
FYI :: Both Josh and Rachel affirmed that “The O.C.” is their top priority now despite their other projects…
Rachel is a good actress. But not the best when it comes to interviews.
oh my god, she’s so not beautiful! Her face is full of stupidity and blunder! She looks as normal as every girl on the street, even worse! I don’t wanna meet her when she’s got no make-up cause then she will look very bad. And after all she’s totally stupid in interviews.
She’s cute. The fact that this is their last season was very obvious as soon as Marissa took her last breath.
They’re all obviously trying to save the show, but it’s obviously not working out so well. They have all pretty much lost hope but they don’t want to be obvious about it and disappoint the fans.
Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Rachel was on the set of The O.C. in Los Angeles filming a scene at the start of the call. She hopped in about 10 minutes into it after Josh talked up the show a bit.

and damn, they really both do seem to have given up
Hayden Christensen & Rachel Bilson look like they would make a cute couple. I was disappointed in him when he hooked up with Sienna Miller. I use to like her a long time ago, but now she disgusts me. And what is up with Sienna’s ugly hair? Jude Law and Sienna seem like such classless Brits. And I know Jude purposely does disgusting things in front of the camera… or maybe he doesn’t care or realize people’s reactions to it.

Wow, Rachel is a busy girl when she is shooting The OC and Jumer concurrently.
I can’t wait to see the first pictures of her in character on the Jumper set. She and Hayden really look like they make a very cute screen-couple.

She’s filming a movie there at the moment. How is she filming both at the same time though? Hoping on a plane to Toronto every time she’s got a free couple of days on The O.C.? Sounds hard
