Baby Zahara & Her Bracelets
Baby Z was spotted wearing bangles (those are like totally so in right now) in the arms of daddy Brad Pitt earlier this week. Zahara is almost two and cute as a button! She was carried by Angelina Jolie’s security officer Mickey Brett earlier this week as well.

Are you deliberatly using the uppercase because someone asked you not to? How old are you?

31/ Somaligirl/ Please get your facts right ” BANTU” is a word meaning people and The Bantus occupy East, Central and Southern Africa. They used to be one tribe which was the Bantu Tribe and they spoke The Bantu language and that is why the parts of Africa I have mentioned all have similarities in their languages get it? So dont go writing staff you aint clued up about. Been a long time since you left home and I think you need to learn the history of Africa, after all you are African. Seems to me you are all but ignorant.

You’re right and I need to practice what I preach about ignoring those who really have no interest in being anything more than an irritant.

OK. I WILL STOP ABOUT THE HAIR.
I SAW FIGHT CLUB LAST NIGHT. I USED TO LUV THAT MOVIE BUT NOW I BARELY PAID ATTENTION TO IT.
TO ME, THAT WAS BRAD FROM A MILLION YEARS AGO. HE’S A DIFFERENT PERSON NOW AND I ONLY WANT TO SEE HIM IN MAMS AND EVERYTHING HE DOES AFTER THAT.
I LOVE THAT HE HAS A BLACK CHILD. LAST NIGHT I LOOKED AT HIM AND THOUGHT–WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THAT MAN WHOULD HAVE A BLACK BABY.
I LOVE THAT HE AND Z HAVE SUCH A CLOSE BOND.
44 | guli - You are bad bad bad… ok, I have to go now. See everyone later.
Oh, so the topic is how to take care of Z’s hair. It’s better than the X’s lies, so I support every argument here. I had no idea until now that African people’s hair can be so different. Z is really cute with all her bracelets, and i really didn’t find anything wrong with her hair, but I’m not an expert lol. And even if she doesn’t have a lot of hair now, means nothing. My daughter had very little hair at the age of two. We were a little bit worried, but did nothing special, and voila: now her hair is beautiful and thick and everything.
PS; SOMALIGIRL; Bantu dosent mean Black Race silly!

Brad didn’t want just a BLACK baby, but a child, children, a family
and he got it. I don’t think it ever occurred to him black or
otherwise.

Please don’t feed the troll. Caps lock=troll
As for Zee’s hair whats the fuss all about? Y’all acting like you’ll be the ones taking care of it. Lay off this cutee’s ‘fro plz!
Wow, Zahara and her hair sparks of a debate about Africa and the different races and cultures. X’s hair inspires comments like “OMg I love her highlights”. LMAO
Z is precious and she looks cute in her daddy’s arm.
hey estelle!
LV is a pain but I’m getting use to it. It’s no worse than Orlando. As for Z’s hair…I’m of color and I don’t view braiding so much as ancestral as i do a hair style. Z’s hair needs to be combed daily. The fact is she doesn’t have hair like theirs or Madd’s or Shiloh’s. A fact they are aware of as they have purchased very expensive hair care products for her. Carol’s Daughter is an amazing line. I use for me and my girls. But it doesn’t stop there. I assume they are doing the best they can, but I’m sorry a child should not leave the house unless his/her hair is neatly combed…I’m sorry. The afro is cute but pig tails or braids will NOT break or damage her hair if done correctly. She may put up a fuss but combing hair is a fact of life for us all but most definitely for people of color. If our hair isn’t combed…yeah you can tell. My mother braided my hair from 8 months up until I was 13. It came down for Easter and picture day only. My sisters and I have always had long hair, but I have cousins who have always had short hair and wore braids as well. So the length is irrelevant. I’m just of that era, where a child’s hair simply needs to be NEATLY combed.
Loving this family to death!!!! I also love the experience that Brad and Angie are blessing their children with.
I CAN BARELY SEE. I NEED TO HAVE THE LETTERS AS BIG AS POSSIBLE.
NICE TO KNOW THAT IF ANY OF YOU DON’T HAVE THINGS YOUR WAY–THE KNIVES COME OUT.
NICE.

Geez, she is like 21 months and people are worried about her hair. Don’t be….the day before was hair was washed; my mom would take out plaits (I wore plaits up until I was 12) and let me get jiggy with it = automatic afro puff LOL
Like most girls of African descent, she probably doesn’t want anyone combing her hair. Z is always turning her head so keeping still long enough to add oil, let alone style it, is probably out of the question. Maybe she cries or falls out on the floor when they grab a comb. Maybe she is tenderheaded. OMG the memories….LOL
I absolutely love the bangles. She is such a girlie girl…..I bet she has a pocketbook (purse) somewhere too….

BEING LEGALLY BLIND, YES I DO. THANKS.
BEING LEGALLY BLIND, YES I DO. THANKS.
but you can still read other people’s posts which are not in caps locks… how weird!
Like i said in the other thread, everyone is always trying to project their ideals unto other people. When others adopt their own Ethiopian child, they can do what ever they think is “right” with THEIR daughter!

When asked to remove caps lock non trolls would explain being legally blind. Trolls still use caps lock. Not buying what you’re selling and will take my own advice and ignore from now on.
Caps lock =trolls
damn! It just struck me. It’s so surreal. Zahara’s daddy is Brad Pitt. And Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are together and have three kids together.
So VERY VERY surreal. It’s been almost two years and yet people are still having difficulty with that concept. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are mommy and daddy. I wonder if they have to pinch themselves to make sure all of this is really happening.
Love the picture of Z and daddy. Thanks Jared and Audrey.
The term “Somali Bantu” is a recent term referring to a grouping of small ethnic groups in Central Somalia. The commonality of these small peoples was their origins from diverse Bantu-speaking peoples, though some now speak Somali-related languages. Some are indigenous to the area, from before the entry of the Cushitic peoples now known as the Somali centuries ago.
Some are descendants of slaves brought from African territories further south. In the last decade or so these small ethnic groups have formed an alliance to represent their common interests. The term Somali Bantu refers to this grouping of peoples speaking several languages and of varying origins from Bantu-speaking peoples.
Bantu
First the term “Bantu.” This is a linguistic term, and refers to a complex family of languages all over Africa. It is also generally used in a loose way to refer to the culture groups or tribes of peoples speaking one of the languages classified as Bantu.
Thus the term “Bantu” refers to about 1500 or more languages. The Bantu languages and peoples are the majority of people living south of the Sahara and cover about 2/3 of the land area in the African continent south of the Sahara.
The Somali people are not among these Bantu peoples, and their language is classified as Cushitic, not Bantu.
Hello BAMZSters how is everyone on this wonderful fall saturday.
MF, I wish I had as much of your enthusiasm and optimism to pass on around, but wanted to say I try and admire you and your posts…
Folks I have whined about this shouting on line thing but lately I sort of like it. When I see a post with all caps I just skip it. Do you think we can convince all the haters to do the same, it makes our lives so much easier, these guys are so accommodating and considerate I am sure they will follow the new rule, if you are a hater post in all caps
Z is so cute - I wonder why she isnt covered in a blanket like baby shiloh?
Hey thank you for the thread Jared and Audrey. Z is soooooooo cute. Daddy’s little girl for sure.
