If you missed the debut last month, these were the very first official Suri Cruise pictures from October 2006 issue of of Vanity Fair. Proud parents Tom Cruise, 44, and Katie Holmes, 27, were on the cover with their beautiful baby girl. Katie Couric first revealed these pictures during her broadcast of CBS Evening News saying, “After much speculation as to why she’s been undercover for so long, here is proof positive. Yes-Suri (Yessirree), she does exist!!”
Vanity Fair’s celebrity go-to photographer Annie Leibovitz snapped the photos at Tom’s home in Telluride, Colorado back in July when baby Suri was 3+ months old. Tom said, “It seemed only natural to have Annie take the first public photographs of Suri. Annie is the only professional photographer who ever shot Bella and Connor as children.” The magazine scans can be found here.

she is pretty cute, but it looks like two different babies. The baby in tom’s coat looks different(hair, face rounder etc) than the baby in the other pics. Im not saying there are two different babies just that the cover shot looks a lot different to me.
My daughter is only three months and she’s no smaller than Suri in those pics. Get a grip, people. Children are all different. Some are teeny tiny, some are bigger. She’s adorable [and definitely looks like them!].

She is an adorable baby. Beautiful, actually, and I am willing to bet as she ages, she’s going to become much more beautiful. Why don’t most of you RESPECT them for not feeding their young daughter to the wolves? aka the paparazzi? They are doing no different than Angelina does with Shiloh, or any other respectable holywood mother the first few months of their child’s life….
I wouldnt say she was the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen but, she is cute. I agree with who ever said elf like. Suri does seem on the small side in the pics except in the pic with her inside tom’s jacket. Suri looks a lot bigger and her face seems fuller.. also her hair seems longer. Kind of odd.. still she is cute.. wonder what she looks like now?
Dr Bombay - The facial features look much like her parents’. Get real. All children develop at their own pace depending on their genes and the environment. Just because most children at her age are bigger doesn’t mean that she’s not their child. Get a clue.

I’d love to see what YOUR children look like (if you have any that is, but you probably don’t because closeminded people like yourself shouldn’t reproduce and definitely don’t deserve to have children.)

P.P.S Most children have an epicanthal fold in the inner corners of the eyes when they’re young… and that is NORMAL. Don’t go around calling her Chinese or some **** like that. Take a look at your own photos as a child and you’ll see the same thing going on with the eyes. Jesus, some people are so ignorant.

Why would a baby need air brushing and touched up pics?
Just because Tom is small doesn’t mean Suri has to be. She actually looks big for a three mth old, not that there is any fixed size for a particular age but I’d say she is on the large end of the size range for that age.
People, please! It’s got nothing to do with her size and EVERYTHING to do with her developmental growth and skills. Look at Gwen Stefani’s child or Angelina’s or Brooke’s. Look at your own baby, or neice, whatever. NO 3 mos old baby has the motor skills and is developmentaly that advanced.
The child was clearly born much earlier then the ‘offical’ date of April. Get real people.

I think Shiloh is cuter. But everyone’s different. BTW, Suri does look different in some photos. On the cover, she looks exactly like Tom (I don’t even wanna type his name) but in other pictures she looks exactly like Katie. I feel sorry for Katie and Suri. There’s no doubt that Tom is a weird man. Nicole escaped within 10 yrs. I’m sure the children’ll write a book about their father when they grow up. Something like, Truth behind my father… Run, Katie, run! She always look sad or strange no matter what she’s doing nowadays.

That baby looks like both parents, and absolutely looks 4-6 months. Don’t forget, she is breastfed, so breastfed babies tend to be big and healthy earlier than formula fed kids.
To Hot: Wait. How can you be so certain Nicole’s not a good mother? She spent her 20s raising her two children. Oh well. I have to say one thing though, Tom and Nicole faked a perfect family for 10 years so who knows. It’s Hollywood, after all.

But as far as I remember ,Nic became a very ambitious woman , selfish , too self absorbed. I liked her so much, but I have changed. She ’s a great actress. period. Bella and Connor (I guess) are lucky to have a father like Tom…I repeat “JUST MY OPINION!”

She’s adorable! My youngest daughter had a head full of hair when she was born. They say if you have a lot of heartburn while pregnant (which I did) your baby will have a lot of hair. I’d love to know if Katie did.
I used to call my daughter ‘Elvis’ because she had so much hair it was like a pompador and had to give her a hair cut when she was a month old. When they are born with that much hair it just automatically makes them look older because most babies are bald. Suri is adorable and will be beautiful when she grows up for sure.

I really think that all of you(me too!)need to get lives. The only informations we get about these people is what the tabs wnt us to hear! I like Tom Cruise. I used to live in London and I had friend who worked as a waitress in this restuarant that was modeled after a jungle, there were live birds in the foyer and everything, and she met Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman with their kids. She told me they were really nice and the kids seemed happy with the both of them.
This is of course 2nd hand and from many years ago so God knows how this has been distorted in my memory, but I tend to think they are both pretty cool. Tom needs to lay off the Scientology, but I’m more interested in what life forces have driven him to it. He’s this mega famous star and yet there are still things about his life that are so crazy he has to find balance in a cult. Let’s face it, he’s not the only one who does this, I really want to know why.

EXACTLY! There’s even a video in the top right hand corner. Suri was not 3 mos old or even 3 1/2 mos old when these photo’s were done. Just keep clicking through that site for “A look ahead” and you’ll see how old Suri really is.
Tom and Katie are so full of it and that’s why Katie’s a nervous wreck about the things written about her. She has a secret and is afraid she’ll be called out on it
When the photos were taken she was three and a half months old and looks exactly that age to me. If you look at her size compared to their hands in the shots you’ll see how tiny she is. The reson some people think she looks older is because she is very alert - probably down to the mother’s good diet and a lot of attention and care.

Need I say that every child is different? That is to be assumed. BUT this child (who is extremely cute, BTW) is a child who is hitting the appropriate milestones at the appropriate time. What is making her look older is the hair. She’s got the same head of hair I had as a baby and my nephew had too. He looked like a little old man for so long.
I feel for this family. They can’t win. People harrass them for not showing her off and then rip apart their baby when they do. Hmmm, wonder why they waited so long to reveal her to the world? I would’ve done the same.
I think they are caring, loving parents. They show that be the support they give the older kids. Suri is a lucky girl to have been born to such adoring parents.

I have been around many babies, and have children of my own, that baby was not 3 1/2 months old when those photos were taken. I’ll estimate that that baby is at least 5 months old on those photos.

P.S. I do believe they baby is Tom’s, she is the spit ‘n image of him, but I think she was born earlier than they are telling the public.

My daughter was exactly Suri’s size when she was that age and she too had lots of dark hair just like Suri. She was absolutely beautiful!
