If you stop to think about it…what else should you expect from a mag with the word “vanity” in it’s title? It’s an “it’s all about me!” magazine. And lately that’s exactly the impression their celebrity interviews leave people with. If X had been capable of seeing beyond herself there’d be no point in interviewing her. I think X has been around long enough now that interviewers KNOW that X is going to turn everthing into a big drama production. They count on it and that’s why they keep sticking her on the covers.

Why shouldnt she go?! This is getting a bit juvenile don’t you think? If the people in HW stayed away from events that had anything to do with their ex’s the damn OSCAR’S would be empty except for the statue! This is getting goofy. So what if she showed up? What the hell is anyone going to say when/if they’re participating in the same movie and it’s time for all the screenings/premieres? What will people say then? One of them should have stayed home? It’s starting to sound a bit paranoid in here and I’d like to believe we’re above that.

BTW: I don’t get why Paltrow went to the Screening of Babel, maybe it was for the attention, because both the Daily News and the New York Post are talking about her been there, is this going to be a common thing from now on, where all Brad’s exes are going to be showing up at his movies Screening or Premieres. Are we going to been seeing the X at the Screening or Premiere of O13 or AOJJ next year? I don’t think she have the guts, but with that woman and her need for attention, she might just do that.

I see what you are saying but I am inclined to give GP a pass here. I am sure she wa asked specifically about Brad and no one else. Also, GP has said in the past how great an actor Brad is(before split)
And..personally, I dont think it’ s a bad thing to have people saying this is Brad’s finest work because talk like that helps with Oscar voters. The same with 12 Monkeys. People kept raving about Brad’s part in that as if it was some miracle or something. Then, he gets an oscar nom. Ive seen Brad do wonderful work in other films but you cant really rely on Oscar voters to have seen everything you have seen.
It sounds a bit highschool but many times it IS a popularity contest…

Frankly Im pretty pleased GP was there and praised him. I mean to some shallow Hollywood people this must have been a truly ringing endorsement. Wow, if his ex fiancee says he is great, he must be!!
m waiting for the day X does the same. LOL Then I will know this hate campaign against B and A is over.

I don’t necessarily think it was a bad thing GP went, either. Sure, it may have been PR for her, but it is even better PR for Brad. Let’s face it, Brad is hot right now. Not only is the sexiest woman on planet with him, but an ex-fiancee still seems a little in love with him and maybe has regrets over what could have been even after all these years later. Also, to have her show up and say good things about his performance is more of a plus for Brad, she is an Oscar winner herself. And lastly, I can’t help but be a little gleeful that this may move X even farther away from the limelight.

I don’t know why it have to rant about X almost every day but it’s cheaper than anger management classes.
She’s so “look at me I’ve co-directed a 10 min. movie no one will ever see” and “look at me I’m in a 10 min. broadway play” I have to work for charities cause nobody will pay my dumb a$$. Brad, on the other hand is tearing the Biz up with Bable, A-listers attending, GP paying homage to his talent (no matter what the motivation).
Meanwhile, Ms 10 min. can’t even get her “boyfriend” to come see her! LOL

Good point Deena, I didn’t even think of that. I mean, to us mere mortals, it’s a big deal to fly from London to NYC and back in a day or 2, but to “huge” movie stars like they are, it’s just a breeze. Why didn’t he show up to applaud her? He had time to go do a documentary in Ireland. And they don’t have the excuse BP had early on after the divorce, not to show up with AJ, because it would have been “missing a sensitivity chip”. But I am sure we will be seeing her in London just in time for the release of TBU dvd. Their dvd sale here last week came at a distant 2nd to Over the Hedge.
I, me too, I have to rant about her every once in a while to keep myself away from anger management classes. :lol:
