Brad Pitt Faces Off
It’s official! Babel will not be entered as a foreign film…. great news for the movie! Thanks, Gabriella! Above is Brad Pitt facing off against director Alejandro González Iñárritu in the November 2006 issue of InStyle magazine. Send in a better scan if you’ve got it!

What a nice thing for us, Jared, on a Monday morning when no one really wants to be at work — handsome pictures of Braddy! You really spoil us that’s why I always go to your site when I some free time. Whew, thanks Maria. You really made my morning. I am at home nursing a bad cold and fever and feeling really rotten, knowing that no matter how I feel I have to buckle up and go to work tonight. But your post, which bdj has rightfully commended as being sexy without one x-rated word, really made me feel good. Thoughts of a naked Braddy have been making me feel better — gotta pop in the MAMS dvd, then Legends of the Fall, and then Meet Joe Black, and finally Troy — hopefully those movies will help me really get better by the time I have to go to work tonight!!!

Hey BDJ: How you doing today? I’m a true believer in getting a point across without using ‘naughty’ words. Now, when the time comes and you see a ‘naughty’ word from me, it’s going to be because I’m truly, truly angry. We don’t use ‘naughty’ words at home and my niece is learning that she can diss a person without using them. It’s funny how we say ‘curse’ for ‘naughty’ when it’s really not a curse. A curse is, “I hope you hair is infested with lice and a thousand washings will not remove them”. Now, isn’t this what we would like to happen to all those people ‘humming’? I know I would love it. HA! HA!

At TIFF Iñárritu said Brad was going thru a very beautiful experience as a human being and it came out in the film.
bamzs4ever, Maria, and julia, yeah, as you can see I just adore those remarks from Alejandro! I am no longer sure what the exact source of them was, and I wish I could post the whole thing, but I lost them.
His comments just really struck me because they were so wonderfully pure and genuine. You could tell Inarritu had no hidden agenda or ulterior motive for saying those things, they were just merely his observations and happiness for Brad at the time.
I am planning on seeing Babel as soon as I can, but it may not rotate through our theaters here. If not, I will buy the DVD for sure.
