I hate to burst you guys’ bubble, but I’m pretty sure Inarritu denied he saying this. Especially the part about X! Think about it - Brad hadn’t said a word about what happened, so why would Inarritu feel free to talk about a private conversation where Brad confided something like that in him? None of Brad’s closest friends EVER said anything about the split, so why would Inarritu? Furthermore this quote implies that Brad cheated on X with Angie - “He was regreting to make suffer Jen (Aniston) for which he has a sincere affection, but he cannot fight, Angie makes it insane….” From all that we’ve been able to piece together Brad had one foot out of that marriage before he even met Angie in January 2004 and the marrige was already over by the summer of 2004 and both of them knew it. More than likely at that point X had known about his feelings for Angie for quite a while. So why even bring hurting X into the convo? By the time Brad got to Morocco to shoot Babel X was a tiny dot in his rearview mirror.

Sorry, but I think this is another example of how mags take partial quotes or take them out of context to change their meaning. Paris Match is about like People mag - they’re more legit than Star, but it ain’t Time mag when it comes to accuracy or verifying a story!

LOL, see my post #67 as to why Brad may have felt he was ‘hurting’ Jen…very obviously she is easily mortified and humiliated and he knows that about her…which is why even after the split he was thinking of how his new relationship would impact her, but not enough to NOT start a new life with Angie. He just continued to care about her feelings like the good man he is. Until of course, the VF article, then it was - F* this b*. LOL I actually think the VF piece freed Brad up to not only live his life, but start right in on Baby Shi’ — of that we can all be grateful. So in a way, we should Thank Jeebus for the VF piece every day. LOL

I don’t think Angie would even bother because he’s already repeated these comments three times. And not many shows covered them and if they did, they were insulting him for being stupid. He’s obviously looking for PR since he knows that his show is sinking and that he’s a dull interview/person. Has anyone seen him on Conan? It’s so painful to watch because Conan is doing all the work and getting all the laughs.

I understand what you guys are saying and I thought of that, too, but my basic problem with this quote is that Inarritu is talking publicly about something that Brad himself wouldn’t address. I just seriously doubt that he would say something like that when Brad has been so careful about not addressing the divorce publicly.

I can easily see Inarritu making the comment that Brad was falling in love with Angie during the filming of Babel. What I can’t see is him saying that Brad ” fell instantaneously and passionately in love with Angie”. Doesn’t that imply that Brad fell for her in January 2004 and not April 2005 or even January 10, 2005, the day AFTER the separation was announced? And that Brad got out of the marriage with X because of he fell for Angie and not for any of the reasons we KNOW existed before he met Angie?

Whats up with these sleazy old jerks taking shots at Angie. First Michael Douglas then Donald Trump. These jerks both have less than desirable history’s, both of them leaving their wives for younger women, sleeping around on their wives.
Are they scourned men? Did they hit on Angelina and she turned them down?….

OK, I agree with PT. I don’t think Brad would want something so private discussed, and I don’t think anyone that knows him would disrespect him in that manner. I mean, come on, we all know Clooney knew everything going on, but didn’t say anything. Same thing with Matt and the rest of Brad’s friends. If he himself doesn’t discuss it, why would his close friends?

Oh and PT — next time you want to bust our bubble — do it in the late afternoon — let us have our nice feelings before you come and pop!! HA! HA!
