Brad Pitt Faces Off

I think Inarritu did talk to Paris Match. To him, French is far away from the US, so it probably doesn’t cross his mind that he needs to be discreet, especially something he doesn’t consider as damaging to anybody involved. On a side note, I have to share with you guys something I read in Paris Match last year regarding Nicolas Sarkozy, the French minister of the Interior. It made me raise my eyebrows, and I couldn’t help comparing the situation to B&A’s. We are only a pond apart, but we are like of different time periods. The PM article said that Sarkozy and his wife were having marital problems, and they wanted to give themselves the summer (of 05) to work things out. They talked about what he was doing, mostly having his hands full with all the gov problems, and about her, they said, she was spotted sight seeing in New York with her boy friend (he is the guy whose company organizes public forum, like Davos). The whole thing was treated in PMatch openly, without any sense of scandal at all. No hint of blame on whoever.The impression I had from reading the article was that it’s perfectly natural in France, when you have marital problems, to try to work it out, and if it means you have to spend time with you paramour to see if you really are into that person or not, then so be it. Can you imagine something like that happening to a politician here?I heard lately that Sarkozy is back with his wife. And compare that to B&A’s situation. BP fell out of love for X, fell in love with AJ, divorced X to be with AJ, and he is crucified. What do people want him to do? Be unhappy his whole life, and by the same token make X unhappy her whole life? And people blame that Peterson guy for staging his wife’s death. I think BP picked the only honorable solution possible. I would feel sorry for X, if she had any feelings of love (no matter how small) for BP (or for VV), but she doesn’t. She is happy as long as either of them let her stay under favorable spot light, and not impede on her movie career.

Well, I think it’s less that they actually hit on her - but more that she really makes them see the realities of their situations. That they’ve essentially had to pay women to be in their lives (and I’m sorry - CZJ would NOT be w/ Michael Douglas if he was a 6th grade math teacher….but I have no problems thinking Angie would STILL be with Brad if he were a dirt poor relief worker in the Sudan, ya know what I’m sayin’??) - these two geezers know this. She makes them realize their mortality, or Brad does. They will never ever again in LIFE know the very real pleasure of a woman wanting and needing to be with them because of WHO they are, and/or because of their desirability also (if that EVER was the case, lol). I think THEY see a woman like Angelina who is so desired going for the same qualities in a man as men see in her, and it scares them, makes them feel bad because they know they have one foot in the ground, are old, and the only way they could possibly even dream of landing someone like that is…well, never. They can buy beautiful women. But beautiful authentic genuine women who are not out for their estates and cold hard cash (see Paul McCartney, see every other ex of Trumps, see CZJ and her airtight contracts she forged with Douglas should he ’slip up’) will always be out of their reach. They could have the money of aghnan kishoggi(sp) tomorrow, and they still will NEVER get the ScarJos or Portmans or Jolies…they KNOW this. The Brad Pitts will and can, and so they hate him for it…it’s really as simple as that. Old @ss alpha dogs who know they aren’t too long for this world, being circled by the stronger more virile young alpha males and taking their females away. Hence, the hate. Notice they weren’t hating on Angie when she was with fellow geriatric BBT. (sorry Billy, lol)

I understand what you guys are saying and I thought of that, too, but my basic problem with this quote is that Inarritu is talking publicly about something that Brad himself wouldn’t address. I just seriously doubt that he would say something like that when Brad has been so careful about not addressing the divorce publicly.

I can easily see Inarritu making the comment that Brad was falling in love with Angie during the filming of Babel. What I can’t see is him saying that Brad ” fell instantaneously and passionately in love with Angie”. Doesn’t that imply that Brad fell for her in January 2004 and not April 2005 or even January 10, 2005, the day AFTER the separation was announced? And that Brad got out of the marriage with X because of he fell for Angie and not for any of the reasons we KNOW existed before he met Angie?

I personally think Brad is fine with other people who he likes, knows and trusts - sharing their observations. George has done it to a certain extent. Doug, his brother has done it. Marcheline did it in People. So I think the very fact that Brad shared what he did with Alejandro the director, may have given AI a certain carte blanc in discussing Brad’s performance and the process of how it came to be. From Brad’s standpoint, I think Innaritu’s revelation that he was indeed feeling somewhat remorseful at possibly causing Aniston pain, wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing, plus it was after all the truth.

I have to say I think George is a poser too. There is something about him that I don’t like. Some might compare him to Cary Grant but I don’t see him coming even close to him. Sure, he’s good looking but he’s also has that smug look on his face. Brad sometimes gets that cocky look too but his interivews shows he is humble and often underestimates himself. George on theother hand over -confident and a self aware kind of guy. He’s very aware of how he’s percieved, how he looks, how everyone things he is so sauve,funny, and charming, so he plays that up on purpose.

If Brad never got a Oscar, I don’t it would matter to him but he has mentioned he wants his work recognized, but awards are not necessarily.

Clooney winning an Oscar is one of the worst things that could have happened for his ego. He now thinks of himself as some sort of intellectual who is in the Oscar winners club and so he purposely plays up that concerned citizen act, by speaking out on Darfur, going to the UN, and denying he wants anything to with politics, while always talking about politics. There is nothing wrong with wanting to help places like Darfur or giving your opinion on politics, but George just doesn’t do it only for the purpose of raising awareness, he also does it to keep this image of himself as this smart and genuine guy who keeps his life away from Hollywood. But George really wants nothing more than to be like and respected by the Hollywood bigwigs and impress the movers and shakers.

The same goes for Mr. Self-Aware. He already said he’s selfish, which means you can’t get mad when he ditches your birthday party for barhopping with the boys. You should have expected this.

The final thing you need to know about Mr. Self-Aware is that he’s a master at timing his warnings. He won’t bare his soul after you’ve laid down your own crazy. Instead, he discloses his dirty laundry while you’re cuddling on the couch. The idea is his out-of-the-blue honesty will make you rush to his defense and be all understanding, thinking he’s just hard on himself – and promising your love will fix him.

Sorry, but that’s not likely. See, Mr. Self-Aware thinks acknowledging his issues is enough. Nobody said anything about getting over them.

Did Pitt Trump Trump? I read somewhere, in a comments section of a blog that DT dislikes Angelina because Shiloh gets SO much media attention while his new baby is basically ignored. I can’t state that is fact but it makes alot of sense to me. DT is in a class all by himself when it comes to loving media attention so perhaps this comment has some truth to it. Just a thought.

PT and Maria: re X buying baby and kiddie clothes…maybe they’re for her dogs. You know the current trend of dressing up your pets has become a multi-million industry. So maybe that’s how she spends her time alone…she dresses up her dogs for fun since she doesn’t have the real babies to practice on.

Either that or she’s completely lost her mind and is fantasizing that she is pregnant.

I don’ think Brad has any other strong friendship inside Hollywood exept Clooney or maybe Guy Ritchie.Brad have said that his best friend is his brother Doug and that he has some very good old friends back in Missouri.But I also believe that Brad and George are good friends.I don’t think he is using Brad.I mean for what? Clooney is not just some actor.He is an A-lister,he is handsome and very popular plus he has an Oscar.I don’t know if they are hunging out every week or if they are talking on the phone daily but I think their feelings are genuine for each other.I think both of them respect eachother a lot.
