Brad Pitt Faces Off

I never said George was using Brad, just to be clear and that’s not the reason why I’m hard on him. It’s just that I get the feeling George tries too hard to be this suave guy but he’s too self aware of himself. I don’t find him to be real. He likes the Hollywood lifestyle yet he pretends that he stays away from the Hollywood circles. Atleast to me, it always appears that Clooney goes out of his way to appear as the guy who can do no wrong and does make a effort to always appear as the good guy. On some guys being cocky is sexy, like when Brad is on the red carpet. He has this self - assured look about him. George comes across as smug and arrogant and not in an attractive way. And this has nothing to do with his politics because I lean towards the same side that he does.

I don’t think George Clooney is Brad’s friend. If my friend said what he said about Brad not a friend’s friend, I would run away from him as fast as I can. George Clooney is jealous of Brad. He wants to be a superstar but he can’t because he cannot carry a movie on his own. Without Brad Ocean 13 would not click in the box office!

Whatever you guys say about GC, I think he did AJ a big favor. Remember in 2005? A lot of mags were digging up AJ’s colorful past, and painted her as weird? GC was the one who spoke up for her in was it VF, or Vogue Italy, that he has met her few times, and she is a beautiful, all clued up woman? He also said B&A are very content with each other. He later said that the mag made up those things, but I think he just said that because he wanted the interviewers to focus on his movies, instead of on B&A.
On a different note, regarding X. Did you guys notice she has Nike sneakers on? So maybe the rumors about her endorsing Nike is true. Remember last year we heard about her saying she will quit smoking to do Broadway, and we were all baffled? Well, she is doing Broadway, except, it’s not real Broadway. Sometimes there is some truth to the rumors.

Wouldn’t someone come forth from the Magazine to say that he did infact say that comment that he later denied. I don’t think AJ needs any favors from GC. But if he did say that and later denied it, it shows once again that GC backs away from his own statements. First he goes on Larry King to say Brad is a Hollywood friend and now that as Indie put it “So now Brad has come out on top, and he wants to know he is a good friend.”
Second, if he did say that about AJ in the magazine and then later denied it , it shows once again, George takes great effort to paint himself as always on the favorable side.

I think that here in the US a relatively new marketing strategy exists :” All money is good regardless where it comes from, so embrace all groups of buyers, especially the ones mostly disregarded by all-that’s the minorities, the poor, the “white trash/black/trash/orienta trash etc. , the conservatives, the religious, the gang members-those whose views are in the minority, the depressed, the angry, the divorced, the dumped; any group that has buying power”.

Couple that with the pervasive and strong belief that “good news” doesn’t sell, and you’ll know why the tablpoids exist, and how they make money.

A few years back the tabs were newspapers, with blurry photos on their covers. When digital cameras appeared, shortly after the tabls became bright-colored magazines, and got websites, and ads on line that bring them income as well as their ads in the magazines.
Then the RSS feeds started, ie. anyone can receive an article on those he’s interested in, as soon as it appears, automatically.

So the digital age/computers have changed the tabs and made them cheaper, and all over the Internet, since they quote each other (another thing that makes their work cheap, since they don’t have to produce their own stories).

And it will not stop-it can’t stop-there’s no reason that would make them stop. The speed with which computers can spread an artil worldwide will bring the same thing all over the world eventually, because it has already started.

Here in the states, with the endemic ridiculous puritanism, that gets fanned and taken advantage of purely for selling purposes, it’s even more intense.

I mean….in the country of Hustler and Playboy the media were in an uproar over Janet Jackson’s mammary…..:)
It’s the media that blows things up, because they know there’s an audience for it, and they have the latest techniques to measure, identify,and then package news they way that fits their target audience.

Eventually, this type of marketing education and application will reach all of the world.

The tabs themselves don’t give a penny whether Brad did good or bad -all they care about is “do something, so we can give it our ‘tone’ and sell our magazine”.

Worry not Fabienne…us fans can move on. I for one will be sadened but that’s the fact of life…nothing is permanent. But I assure you this, they have their foundation & those are their kids. They will remain connected one way or the other. And they will remain friends since Angelina always been good & stays close with her exes.
