I recommend you watch SNATCH. It is thoroughly entertaining … I am sure you will love it. BTW, it is directed by GUY RITCHIE, Madonna’s hubby.

That story is from last week In touch. The Daily mail got the story from The Globe. I don’t think it’s true.
jared, i LOVE you! thanks for all the stills! yummy!
i can’t wait to get my Entertainment Weekly next week!!!
one can definitely say that he has made a successful transition from hollywood to indie and arthouse.
Brad and Cate are great great actors!
And I love this EW pic, they look so real not like the glamour HW actor, who I can’t touch.
Way to go Babel!!!
Thanks Jared for the new thread and the stills of Brad’s different movies, he is ymmy and hot and sexy, and I love the cover of EW, my favorite actor and one of my favorite actress, I am definitely going to get a copy of EW

Oops, forgot to mention I rented Snatch 2 weeks ago and loved the youtube video from the last thread. This guy lppks good even when he is battered, bloody and blabbering jibberish. Thanks.
I think this photograph is a composite. It looks to me like it’s two separate pictures.
Also, not one of Brad’s best pictures. Nope…nope…not one of his best…coulda been a whole lot better.
The pix are from the photocall and he really did not look great in those.
Aggie;
Not one of your best posts. Nope…nope…not one of your best…coulda been a whole lot better.
14 | anustin | - Its tabloid gossips, I don’t believe that unless they(B&A) say it themselves
hahahaha…that’s a knee-slapper…wait…i’m laughing so hard i’m craying…wait let me get a tissue…hahahahaha hahaha haha ha oh….that was a good one.
and don’t spell my name with a cap a if i don’t have one.
how rude!
What’s craying?
What’s rude is not knowing proper punctuation and how to start a greeting or a sentence. Both are begun with a capital letter.
hahhahahahaha…you don’t cray? i shouldn’t laugh, actually. If you don’t cray then there’s nothing I can do for you. Sorry.
i think we have one of those spelling police on the prowl. really, how rude! are you an elitist snob? i think you are–are you prepared to take everyone to task on that too? you’ll be busy tonight, baby!
Again, what is craying? Is that like braying? Like a donkey does. Then you can have your braying.
Two of my favorite actors side by side. I will have to buy this issue.
No, just you. Since you’re making an ass out of yourself.

Let it go. The more you comment, the stupider you come across.
you said stupider! now who’s stupid? hahahahahahahahahahaha
Aggie;
That’s a redundant question isn’t it? Stupid is as stupid does.
and stupid you is, and i never was!
hahahahahahaha
Jared, can you please clean up the mess? … PLEASE
Brad looks really young here, must be the sweet lovin he’s getting from Angie and the kids. Along with having that ‘It’ factor, he’s got a certain added sparkle…love them all!
Aggie, needs to look up the word redundant.
Here’s a dollar, go buy a clue. Or did my appropriate spelling confuse you?

I willnot watch those sucky Oscars if he is not nominated. Yes, I havenot seen the movie yet, but I am bored by the Oscars prentenoius, uneducated, idiots like Sean Penn and Jude Law give me a break. I want to see Brangelina, true stars.. on th red carpet and on the podium, I lost all respect win a tv hack with terrible movies was allowed to present last year (and she looked haggard btw)
#47 ntt
I think it’s coming out next week.
It is always fun reading the posts at JJ’s.LOL
It’s about the Oscars baby.
Jaredd, are you and Audrey TRYING to kill me?!
Thanks again for the new/the old/the what’s to come.
jpf
Thanks Alexandria. I try. I kept dialing and she kept picking up.
Yes, let us hope that this year’s Academy Awards is not as boring as last years. They can’t afford to have no true movie stars there again. They can’t keep inviting ex tv stars, trying desperately to be taken seriously in the movies. That includes the two Jennifers. Aniston and Garner.
looking at Brad’s film history. It does seems that he was in a dry spell after 2001. No inspiration ? He must have been void of life during that stage … ought to have been very tough on him going through that stage of soul searching , family pinning with a partner who desire the complete opposite in life.

nyc2345,
What’s wrong with getting old? He looks hot. Better. He looks more rugged now. I love it. But then I like grown men so . . .
56 | nyc2345 |
+++++++++++++
Let’s see, what happened to him?
1- He won The Sexiest Woman Alive.
2- He has 3 cute-as-a-button kids.
3-Does movies with Cate Blanchette.
4-Travels around the world, and learn new wonderful things.
5- Get his desire to give back to society fulfilled with the help of his love AJ.
6- And best of all, got that clinging vine of JA off his back.
There are so many pictures of him on this thread. He’s not even looking his age by any standard. He turns his looks on the way that pleases him.
Wow, Cate is beautiful.
Great Cover!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m glad they are together again in “Benjamin Button”.
As much as I would love it, Brad probably won’t get the Oscar for Supporting but 99.9% sure he will get nominated. The actor playing against Forest Whitiker in The Last King of Scotland is getting raves as well as Matt Damon in The Departed. There are still many many more films yet to come out. It’s gonna the juciest year in decades in regards to star power at this years Awards Shows (well just three count in my book (Independent Spirit, Screen Actor’s Guild and the Academy Awards) everything else is a popularity contest.
I have to see Snatch and would love to see Seven Years In Tibet. I’ve seen just about everything Brad baby has offered.

Please have your eyes examined. Brad Pitt is a beautiful grownup manly MAN! He looks content and happy and confident and most of all satisfied. He has finally grown into his looks and is not the enternally young pretty boy. Angelina, Angelina, Anelina, girrlll, you have provided the catalyst that has enabled Braddy Pitt to evolve into Brad Pitt. Oh, yes!
I for one think Brad is like a fine wine, better with age. When he was younger Brad was very pretty(which is good for Shiloh, since she is the spitting image of him!)he looked like a boy-toy.Remember all the red carpet pictures of him with X?He was prettier than she was, seriously!
#63 We’ll like to keep his options open. Brad’s getting his best reviews.
54 | Observer2 | -, I agree with you last year Academy Award was boring, and I am hoping the next one is great and yes we definitely need true movie stars back at the Oscar this time around and I think they will be, oh I can’t wait for award season, Brad and Angie I truly believe are going to be nominated , Brad for Babel and Angie for TGS, I saw a preview of the TGS and Angie was fantastic.
I hope Brad win an Academuy Award, because he is a great actor, he has done many good movies, like Legends of the Fall, seven, fiht club and more!!!And now with Babel (drama) , he should win an oscar!!! The oscar have been so boring last years and I want to see new faces like brangelina!!!
Brad and Cate have that old Hollywood star quality that you don’t see in a lot of Film Actors today. Most of the stars today are made on image, publicity and one hit wonder. Cate and Brad both have humble, elegant qualities along with true talent that have stood the test of time.
Whether you like all or most of BP’s movie, you cannot deny that he has presence, talent and charisma that shines through on the screen as well as in his interviews. Plus he looked extra fine in Fight Club and Snatch. He is a talented actor and I hope that he gets an Oscar nomination for Babel. Thanks for all the Babel threads Just Jared.
Is there an article insidethat goes with this cover? Anyone have it?

Exactly. Oscar was broadcast globally. don’t make it look like an Emmy award. we want true internationally reknown movie star.
I am so excited for this movie it is ridiculous. I haven’t even seen it yet but I have heard so many wonderful things about it, I truly think this is Brad’s year!
Ben Affleck? I have heard nothing lately about his movie, it has not been a hit.
81 | hmmm
Ben was in Hollywoodland. the film was a flop but Ben Affleck just won the best supporting actor in Hollywood film festival as well as Venice film festival.
Just a thought before I go to sleep..Do any of you think Brad will be attending Tom Cruise’s wedding in Lake Como on November 18? The entertainemnt shows kept teasing like they know something. Personally I hope not.
Here’s a crazy review about Babel from FOX News. For them, I think it’s positive. Good nite.
“Babel,” which stars Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt among a cast of mostly unknown yet terrific actors, is a masterpiece.
But for the life of me I don’t know why anyone would want to see it.
This independent film, by Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu, is so intense and emotionally disturbing that no dialogue is needed.
With incredible original music by Gustavo Santaolalla, “Babel” would work with the score alone, even without dialogue.
Yet then we would lose the tragic story of a deaf/mute Japanese teen who’s trying to find herself after her mother commits suicide. And that would be a shame, since Chieko’s (Rinko Kikuchi) story is the one most worth watching.
Iñárritu seamlessly brings you to Morocco, Mexico and Japan as he demonstrates a cliche among cliches: that it’s a small world after all.
In other words, the director takes the long way around “the butterfly effect,” or chaos theory. If a butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil, it could set off a series of events that end up in a tornado or a hurricane thousands of miles away.
In this case, it is a rifle in the hands of children that sparks an international incident.
The film begins with a Moroccan peasant walking through the desert trying to sell his rifle. The rifle is used later in a tragic game by children who wind up accidentally shooting an American tourist, played by Blanchett.
We later learn that the rifle belonged to a Japanese businessman, whose wife committed suicide, leaving him and his deaf/mute daughter to pick up the pieces.
Meanwhile Pitt, who plays Blanchett’s husband, and Blanchett are trying to cope with the death of their third child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
This finds them both in Morocco so they can be alone while their children are cared for by the Mexican nanny, Amelia, played touchingly by Adrianna Barazza.
Pitt and Blanchett’s parts are pretty much actor-proof, as their storyline is the weakest of the film. Anyone could have played their characters.
Amelia decides she will take her charges across the Mexican border so she can attend the wedding of her son, and of course you know this can only get worse.
And it does.
Every storyline is tinged with impending doom, and none disappoint. You’ll find yourself squirming in your seat, closing your eyes and pretty much wondering why you spent $10 to put yourself through such agony, particularly if you’re a parent.
From the tragic story of the rifle boys in Morocco, to the touching story of Chieko as she struggles to find herself and ultimately the loss of the children in the desert around the Mexican border, Iñárritu leaves no parent un-squirmed.
It’s ironic then that he dedicates this film to his own children, his “lights in this dark world.”
Indeed. After watching this film, you’ll rush home to pay the babysitter, and you just might wake up in the bunk bed next to the light of your life, who is safe in your arms.
Keeping It Reel?
“Babel” makes you think about what you have, and how suddenly and easily the things you care for most could be in danger. That said, while a commendable reminder, we do have the nightly local news for that.
And it’s free.
“Babel” opens in limited release this Friday, and nationwide November 10.
#81 GP dated both Brad and Affleck and she has called the oscars for Brad. I heard she votes.
I think Matt Damon will be in the Best actor list. he’s having good rave in TGS. Brad biggest competitor will be Ben Affleck, he just got 2 approval in the Venice FF and Hollywood FF.

Yeah, but there weren’t any other high profile movies at either of those festivals. Hollywoodland was the biggest movie shown at the Venice Film Festival and it looks like it’s heading straight to video, so I doubt the Academy even remembers it come awards season. If he was so great in that flick why didn’t the producers enter it into the TIFF? That’s the second biggest film fest on this side of the Atlantic (aside from Sundance, which is mainly Indie films). If they thought he was so great as George Reeves then they should’ve put that movie up against the other best movie contenders and they didn’t. Ben Affleck has all the talent of a dead cockroach.
I will be watching Babel. But not sure if Toronto will be included with the limited release. If not then we have to wait for it on November 10th.
Thanks Jared & Audrey for htese new threads. You are soiling us. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, Regarding Ben Affleck, I LIKE HIM MORE BEFORE. When he did the Goodwill Hunting, I got the hots for him but now it goes down the drain especially the Bennifer shenanigans started. I prefer Matt Damon than Ben Affleck now. But Brad is Number One all the way!
Last year Oscar was really boring, no big movie star. I hope they can stop inviting starlet and sitcom hack as presenter. This year would probably be more exciting. expect to see Leo in The depart, Matt Damon and Angie in TGS, Clooney and Cate in The Good German, Brad in Babel, Ben Aflleck in Hollywoodland, Sandra Bullock, Panelope Cruz. Nicole in FUR., Meryl Streep . These are some of the Alist actors having good raves and potential Oscar nominne and winner.
Thank you Jared and Audrey for the lovely threads setting the stage for BABEL. I think it’s going to be real hard to watch - and I think Brad is going to become even MORE in demand. Especially since he shed the “golden boy” looks for this movie and, from all I’ve read is really showing his chops.
ITA with those who see the fine wine this man has become in the past few years. So much more than eye candy….yet, still AMAZING to look at.
83 | Frenchy | - I don’t think that Brad will attend Crazy Tom’s wedding
Saying Brad and Angie may or may not attend Tom’s wedding is a way to create another hype. People like to drop their names for attention. There are bloggers that use Angie’s name for every rumor in the world just to get hits.
85 | Passing Through
I hope so. I come to know Ben A. in the Bennifer shenanigans, don’t even remember he was in The Pearl Harbor. his acting prowess was really mediocre, Matt is better.
Since Rachel Weisz won BSACTRESS last year, she will be presenting this year’s BSA. Let’s just all hope she says: And the OSCAR goes too, BRAD PITT!

I went back to p 1 to read all your posts. When Aniston was mentioned by some fellow poster, you said you refused to discuss about her.
Why are you bringing Angie in at the last paragraph of your post?
Is this hypocritical???
Well, I tell you that. Jennifer never gives back to society. She is selfish. She is a fraud. She is the “me me me” person. She does not take responsibility. She blamed her marriage failure on other people.

Brad will be busy filming Benjamin Button starting November, even invited , he probably would not be attending.

I agree with everyone who say that the Oscars have lost their
appeal, and is so badly in need of some true movie stars. It’s
slowly becoming another People’s Choice Awards with all those TV
has-beens making Oscar presentations, namely Tootsie girl.
Brad deserves to be recognized for this role, and for a change, I
cannot wait for the award season to start this year. If Angie

ITA. He lost focus in life after marrying that sit-com hack. he probably thought as promised by his passive-aggressive X to have baby and start a family. all his dream just didn’t happen with his X. thatswhy, he was at a loss, he was seeing a shrink then. what a wasted year, he was supposed to be 37-38 y/o. then. a prime for most actors, he just wasted it.

I totally agree with you. Aniston was busy doing friends and churning out movies. Man, Brad wasted all that time with her.
When he was promoting Troy, Brad said he did not do any movie for 2 (or close to) years.
Mrs Smith….The Good Sheperd will be out on December 22nd. If I am not mistaken the movie of Matthew McConaughey about football, a Ben Stiller about a Museum guard will be the big movies being shown that week too. So beeter save all those hard-earned $$ to support our Angie.
excerpt from Vanity Fair 12/01
On one hand,” he continues, “I’m hitting my own stride now. On the other hand, I’ll tell you truthfully, I’m completely bored with myself in films. It’s time for me to try either a new direction or new horizons. I have other interests that I want to pursue that mean more to me. I think there’s room to go away from it for a while and then you can come back and re-invent. We’ll see where it goes…I find myself looking forward to a family. It’s not that I’m self-absorbed. Anything that’s going to take the focus off myself, I welcome.”
He wanted family at that time already.

I loved Kalifornia. Was actually watching it the other day. It’s my favorite BP movie, and I think it’s one of his best performances.
As for Babel, I can’t wait to see it. I’ll have to wait until Nov. 10, but I will be there on opening night. I’m thrilled that there is so much buzz surrounding this movie. I honestly think Brad has a solid shot at an Oscar nod.
Just checking in. What a great photo of them both. World class. Very much dispels all the unexplainable covers this week of X. Brad, love, I will be there this week-end to see you and add one more ticket sale to the total. Love you!

http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/reviews/2006-10-26-review-babel_x.htm
On the covershoot. I think Brad looks great. No longer wants to be preceived as Clooney calls him “pretty boy” Pitt. Brad Pitt is a Father, Lover, Friend, Movie Actor, …. A great looking Man.
BTW USA Today gave it 3 1/2 out of 4 stars.
Brad is the HOTNESS!! His face shows sexy and maturity!! He is happy and content with Angie! He loves her!!! He loves his life with her and thier children!! CHINN’s GET OVER IT!
Brad looks really refreshed in this photo and he’s supposed to be losing sleep taking care of the kids and angie. LOL. He’s so much different and real. That’s total hotness!
Brad looks yummy. Seriously, I am not seeing what the haters are seeing. He looks real, and incredibly attractive, so apparently, that’s a problem. If his face was frozen or completely smooth and flawless, then they would accuse him of having cosmetic surgery or having the photog photoshop his face. Nevermind that he looks exactly like he did on Today and at the TIFF press conference; in neither instances, the Barbara Walters lens wasn’t used.

And in reference to dumbing down, your heroine Opes/Okra is the Queen of Dumbing Down to her Mini-Van/Suburban women. If only they would all open a few books to read about the world around them, they would not have to depend upon a narcissistic/egomaniac to tell them what to think, and how they should feel about some event. They and you are all sheep indeed.
Peace Buddy…
In a way we should all probably be thankful that JA is the way she is - I mean what if Heaven forbid they did have kids, etc. we would never have the Brad that we have today.
Sometimes things happen in life for a reason, Nicole Kidman dropped out of MAMS and Angie was brought in. How could he have known then all that was to come. She has definitely made him a better man and for his legions of fans - we know that this pairing is a match made in heaven.
It was fate that their worlds collided - they found their soulmate in each other it seems.
If he didn’t go through all the trials and tribulations with JA then he would never have been at a point to find Angie.
Yes - it sucks to have wasted all those years, but we all love him now even more than before because there is a whole other side to him and this is only the beginning.
I hope they procreate even more and increase their family - it would just be heaven.
On a side note about the Oscars - I was wondering, did George Clooney have a movie this year that would possibly be nominated? Was it something about Darfur? Wouldn’t it be great if Brad, Matt & George all got nominated? It would be a great night on the red carpet.

((((CLAPPING!)))) What a great post!
You put in words just how I was feeling about Brad’s life as it is now, compared to a few years ago. Despite all the hateration against him and Angie, I hope they will stay strong and together for the children’s sake and that they know that we BAMZSers are behind them all the way.
Good Morning, MF (Char!)
Nice talking to you again last night. Hope little Braddy is feeling better, and so with your in-laws.
He is the man!! His masculinity is beyond limits right now! And yes the photographs are from the Babel press conference. He may have some lines under his eyes but that’s what I love about him. He is REAL!!! Even that he was labelled as the sexiest man alive twice he doesn’t care. He still has his baby blue eyes, his dirty blond hair, his beautiful nose, his putty lips and of course that KILLER body!! And all of that in his 42 years old. The man is sexaaaaayyyy!! LOL!
In Nov.10 I will be in the front run with my whole family with me! And please BAMZSers. When you return from the theatres tonight you know we are waiting for your scoops.
Good morning all!
Great to see that he is not photoshoped on that cover….he looks cool as hell!
Clooney’s movie that is in Oscar contention this year is The Good German. Cate Blanchett is in it as well, as is Tobey McGuire. I’ve read the book, which is one of my favorite books - its abnout an American Repurter named Jake (Clonney’s character in the movie), who travels to Berlin after the end of WWII to find Lena (Cate’s character) who he had a romantic relationship with before the war. There is some murder mystery too when an American solider turns up dead in the Russian sector. Thats just my best recollection of a summary of it without giving anything away. :)
hope brad will win for the oscar…i am wondering what angelina’s reactions now about the babel critics and how she deal about the gweneth factor…

Brad is a great and a very creative actor. Many have underestimated him because of his looks but if you know his work you’ll see what I mean. You may not like him and that’s ok but to say that he is a bad actor it’s unreal. I don’t know if he will win (I’m praying for it) but he will be nominated for sure. Brad is in the greatest place in his life right now. He have said that his family makes him more efficient and full of energy and that his glad that his not focused only to him self anymore. He is wonderful. I have seen all of his movies. I’m sure Angie is proud of her man. As Brad is proud of his beautiful woman. When he was filming Babel back in 2005 their love was starting to blossom and getting real. And I’m sure this movie will bring back some memories. And as for GP Angie don’t have to deal with anything. She just went to the screenings because Brad is her BOSS! He produced RWS and now his producing DT staring her. Brad have not sigh to play in the movie. That is all. Get over it already!
I picked up this EW magazine early this morning and the actual cover looks so much better than it does on the computer. Brad looks better and younger and I have to say it is one of the most natural looking pictures I have ever seen of him. Cate looks even more beautiful.
In a way we should all probably be thankful that JA is the way she is - I mean what if Heaven forbid they did have kids, etc. we would never have the Brad that we have today.

Happy Babel Day for those in NY and LA!
For everyone else, at least in the US, get out there and see Running With Scissors. This was produced by Brad and it needs our support. I just finished the book and it was both sad and hysterical.
Aaaaaah my fav parts!! (See below) Loves it…and I LOVE that X is not mentioned anywhere, but Angie and the kids are all over it!! :-D
________________
The star pursued the role before the script had even been sent out to actors. His interest was fueled by a longtime desire to work with González Iñárritu and by Babel’s underlying message of one-world unity, which had taken on a powerfully alluring personal dimension for him. The actor had recently become a father figure (and, ultimately, adoptive dad) to Angelina Jolie’s growing multicultural brood — Maddox, from Cambodia, and Zahara, from Ethiopia. ”Our kids come from different parts of the world, and it’s the perfect example of, if we didn’t have these perceived differences we wouldn’t be defined by geography,” says Pitt, who has since added another member to the family, Shiloh (the couple’s first biological child, she hails from the land of the genetically blessed). ”What I liked most [about the script] was this idea that we’re all the same, and it’s our lack of understanding and lack of communication that gets in the way.”
..and here a little insight into BAMZS trip to India!
Five months after his part in Babel wrapped, Pitt traveled to Pakistan to visit earthquake victims and donated $100,000 toward relief. He then spent time in Africa, where Jolie gave birth to Shiloh in May. In September the couple gave $1 million apiece to organizations that work with the world’s sick and needy. ”This idea that wherever you’re born decides your opportunity and the life you’re going to have… I just feel this need to even out the playing field if I can help in any way,” he says, choosing his words carefully. ”I see it as the main global issue: How do we create the will to understand each other? And maybe things like [Babel] will contribute to that.”
Back at the hotel, Pitt’s stylist has assembled a selection of outfits for him to change into for EW’s photo shoot. Pitt immediately starts rifling through the hangers and slips a beige cashmere sweater over his head. It’s been pre-ripped to the point of looking like it’s been through three wars. Pitt likes it immediately. ”I’m shopping for India,” he says of his imminent trip to the subcontinent, where he’s producing A Mighty Heart, which stars Jolie in an adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s memoir about the terrorist kidnapping and murder of her journalist husband, Daniel Pearl. ”I’m only taking a couple pairs of pants, a few T-shirts, a sweater, and stuffing them into a knapsack. And that’s it. That’s all I need.” He pauses, pleased with the prospect of a pared-down adventure, and quietly mutters, as if to himself, ”Film as expedition…”
I can’t wait to see the movie! Brad looks great and content and I hope this year he’ll get an Oskar!!!!!!!! LOVE BAMZS !!!!!

Rest assured, The Departed (with an R rating) will perform better than The Break-Up (with a PG 13 rating) for the theatrical release. BTW, how did TBU DVD perform?
the departed didn’t have the huge opening and brad helped produce that.
166 | me2
Hey Missing Link. Get your facts straight before spewing your sh*t.
The number one film of the weekend is Warner Bros’ The Departed, the star-studded gangster flick from director Martin Scorsese. The Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg film earned an estimated $27.0 million, setting a record for a Martin Scorsese opening.
http://www.boxofficeprophets.com/column/index.cfm?columnID=9761
Three weeks out, The Departed has made
Domestic: $80,177,838 76.2%
+ Foreign: $25,000,000 23.8%
= Worldwide: $105,177,838
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=departed.htm
And on Wednesday, regained the #1 spot at the boxoffice.
Brad is certainly doing something right.

Ain’t it great when the fanistons are postng **** like that??LOL! Sometimes I’m just wodering if they even can read! the “DEPARTED” was the number ONE movie in it’s opening weekend moron!!
BTW-You beloved idol’s movies were floping one by one in the box office (RHI, Delaired and FWM) Were the hell were you and the other parasites??You were right here basing B&A.That’s all you care about. Now it’s too late because Ms “10 minuites” won’t do movies any more.Oh she may do a 10 minuite appiarence on Okra dening a nose chin boob job but that’s it..Now go suck your thumb!
Here’s one more for the movie business challanged Fanistons like me2. There’s serious Oscar buzz for The Departed.
“There’s just one problem: The studio’s Departed has become such a hit with critics and audiences that the one movie Scorsese and DiCaprio had no intention of campaigning for has become a serious Oscar contender as well. This leaves the studio scrambling to take care of the needs of all its players.”

#172: Hey PT. You get ‘em girl! How you doing today?
I think Matt Damon may do double duty at the Oscars Leading for TGS and supporting in the departed. I’m sure Jack (leading) will get nominated for the departed. Anything he does he gets nominated. Forest Whittaker will get nominated for lead. Ben Affleck for lead.
Brad will get nominated for supporting so his competition so far will probably be Matt Damon, Alec Baldwin for TGS or RWS and we will have to see what else comes out.
This years nomination should be intersting.

You’re welcome BAMZS Fans. I just want the Fanistons to understand that even if Brad doesn’t get nominated for Babel, The Departed probably will be nominated for Best Picture and maybe even win. This means as producer, Brad will be standing on stage with an Oscar in his hand while J. Maniston is sitting at home with her d*ck in hers.

From the New York Post, a very good Review of Babel:
WHAT 3 YEARS OF ANGELINA WILL DO TO A MAN…AND OTHER JOYS OF ‘BABEL’
OLD BRAD SHINES IN INTERLOCKING DRAMATIC TALES Brad Pitt leaves his 1991 “Thelma & Louise” heartthrob image covered in gray hair and wrinkles in “Babel.”
Rating:
October 27, 2006 — IN the towering dramatic achievement that is “Babel,” fate and bad decisions bring disparate people together - and cultural differences separate them - with heartbreaking consequences.
That sounds a lot like the Oscar-winning “Crash” - which owes a lot to Mexican filmmakers Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s and Guillermo Arriaga’s pre-”Babel” collaborations on “Amores Perros” and “21 Grams.”
But the far more ambitious and visually stunning “Babel” - itself a heavyweight contender for Best Picture honors - wrings tears on no fewer than three continents with uniformly superb performances by a huge cast headed by Brad Pitt.
There are four intersecting but not exactly synchronized story lines - all involving parents and children - playing out simultaneously in this demanding movie.
Let’s start at a mountain village in Morocco, where a goat herder (Mustapha Rachidi) turns a newly acquired high-powered rifle over to his two young sons (Said Tarchani and Boubker Ait El Caid) to shoot jackals.
Of course it’s a huge mistake, especially when they test the rifle by taking a pot shot at a passing tourist bus.
Susan (Cate Blanchett), a reluctant traveler, is hit in the shoulder and begins profusely bleeding.
Her overbearing American husband, Richard (Pitt, his hair dyed and made-up to simulate middle-age), orders the bus to the nearest village, where locals care for her as help very slowly arrives.
As Moroccan and U.S. authorities argue whether it was a terrorist attack, the local cops brutally hunt down the culprits.
Meanwhile, Susan and Richard’s two young children (Elle Fanning and Nathan Gamble) have been left with their nanny Amelia (the terrific Adriana Barraza) back in San Diego.
As the crisis plays out halfway around the world, Amelia unwisely totes these sheltered kids - without parental permission - to her native Mexico, so she can attend the all-night wedding of her only son.
Even worse, their chauffeur is illegal immigrant Amelia’s boozing, ne’er-do-well nephew, Santiago (Gael Garcia Bernal).
A confrontation with a U.S. border guard (Clifton Collins Jr.) leads to a high-speed chase and a terrifying night.
The fourth strand is set in Toyko, where deaf teenager Chieko (the ethereally beautiful Rinko Kikuchi, a lock for Best Supporting Actress) is grieving over the recent suicide of her mother.
She rebels against her often-absent businessman father (Koji Yakusho) by acting out sexually with boys and with a police detective.
It’s not immediately clear how this story is linked with the others, and those who were bothered by the chain of coincidences in “Crash” may have some difficulty embracing this movie.
It’s their loss. For me, it was well worth the suspension of disbelief to see how director Inarritu, screenwriter Arriaga - and their brilliant cinematographer, Rodrigo Prieto (who also worked on their first two films) - deftly jump between these stories for 2 1/2 hours, building to a powerful climax.
This is a serious movie overflowing with memorable acting, unforgettable images, searing tragedy, unexpected humor and an eloquent plea for international understanding. And while it’s by no stretch of imagination light entertainment, it’s fundamentally a more optimistic work than either “Amores Perros” or “21 Grams.”
“Babel,” which takes its title from the Bible story of God inventing languages to prevent men from building a tower to heaven, is, in short, one of the year’s best movies.

Hi Tracy! Welcome but sorry I couldn’t help you in this matter. If I find out, will post for you.
NEW THREAD ALERT
If you thinking marrying a tv sitcom star means you have no depth maybe you are a superficial moron? Anyway at least he could stand to marry her. You guys always love to bring in JA and bash her. BUT SHE MUST HAVE BE SECURE IN HER MARRIAGE, BECAUSE she let Brad go to film Mr and Mrs Smith, probably knowing that he had alot of making out with AJ.
Anyway, Brad Pitt has a penchant for getting involved with his leading women, seems kinda lazy to me. I don’t think his current relationship will last, but i hope they do. I mean who will look after the 17 rainbow kids AJ adopts. Bet he gets his own kid back though….
anyway left the middle out cause noone is really sure what happened any more, did he cheat? did he wait to tell his wife he was in love with someone else? Either way he must not have been fully into his marriage to be able to switch to another person so fast. So he also has a habit of keeping things from the public doesn’t he?

USA TODAY
Babel may be the most ambitious movie of the year, tackling towering communication barriers, global politics and cultural divides in a structurally complex and fascinating narrative.
Compelling from the first frame, the movie’s harrowing intertwining tales grab us and do not let go until a closing credit reveals that the film is dedicated to director Alejandro Iñárritu’s children. It is the perfect coda, as each character finds a measure of peace and solace through the bonds of family.
The four interwoven stories are superbly acted, stunningly shot and masterfully told. But for all its gut-wrenching power, Babel does have a flaw. In each of the narratives, Iñárritu takes you up to an emotional precipice, dangles you over it, then pulls back just in time to leave you more emotionally drained than moved. Still, his work bristles with power and believability.
The tale begins in a desolate stretch of the Moroccan desert with astounding performances by little-known actors. A farmer buys a used rifle, and his two young sons test its range on a bus driving nearby, seriously wounding an American tourist, played by Cate Blanchett. Her distraught husband, Brad Pitt, in his best film performance, grows increasingly desperate to save her. In one powerful scene, he cries quietly as his young son chirpily recounts a story over the phone, unaware that his mother’s life hangs by a thread a continent away.
The story cuts across time and continents to Tokyo, where a deaf and mute teenager (Rinko Kikuchi) is reeling from her mother’s death, coping with an emotionally distant father (Koji Yakusho) and discovering her sexuality. Kikuchi and Yakusho are both wonderful.
Events jump over to California where Pitt and Blanchett’s children (Elle Fanning and Nathan Gamble) and their babysitter (a heartbreaking Adriana Barraza), take a quick trip to Mexico. Their harrowing border crossing is one of the toughest scenes to endure.
How Iñárritu and screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga seamlessly link these four stories makes for an unconventional film experience that is weighty, thought-provoking and riveting
Somebody mentioned the movie Benjamin Button above. This brings me to something I heard about the X making a movie that makes her grow younger just like the strange case of Benjamin Button. She plays a psychiatrist who gets her patients to think young and miraculously they do.
She’s producing this as well as starring. Can anybody else tell us anything about this movie?
Why is she doing the same theme as Brad is doing?
Who got the idea first, does anybody know?
Some points on X:
*dependency on others
*anger turned inwards
*weak ego BUT strong superego
230 | the real tita
what? this is the first time I heard about this.
Fox’s Mike Straka calls Babel a masterpiece.
He also writes : “Pitt and Blanchett’s parts are pretty much actor-proof, as their storyline is the weakest of the film. Anyone could have played their parts.”

He is the most sexiest men and I seen the movie is the best acting his done.
