The Cassie Contest

Sorry for the lack of contests! A bunch more coming at you real soon. Here are the prizes up for grabs this time for The Cassie Contest:

1 autographed Cassie poster
1 issue of “Rap Up” magazine with Cassie on the cover
1 Cassie CD

First place winner receives all three prizes. Two runners-up will each receive a Cassie CD.

HOW TO WIN :: Leave a comment here with a valid email address (will not be published) and winners will be chosen at random at the end of the contest. One entry per person. This contest ends next Friday, Nov. 3 @ 7PM EST. Good luck!

If you haven’t watched Cassie’s “Long Way 2 Go,” definitely watch through middle of the music video. It’s the hotness.

People say she isn’t a true singer, but I don’t think singing ability has really made that big of a deal to me (in terms of pop songs) for the past 10 years or so.

I find that Cassie has a distinct voice, and ME+YOU was pop genius. I love her sound. It’s almost like urban-electro-R&B. A lot moodier than people give her credit for, and of course LONG WAY 2 GO is a prime example of this!

We also need to credit her with the greatest dance gesture of 2006:
