Sorry jpf, I took your post as more than a bit condescending. one gets the feeling you’re more about the admonishment of what you believed to be a stated certainty on my part. Well, I’m not 100% sure of anything - all of this is speculation, and I have never said otherwise.

So overall, I got a scolding vibe from your posting.

If I took it wrong, my apologies - but read your post again, and I think you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

We’re all adults here, and the incessant reiterating of how our opinions are just THAT, and we can’t KNOW the truth yada yada..is not necessary, and comes off as if you’re a bit resentful that someone has the audacity to disagree with your pov. Who cares? The world would be a boring place if we were all in lockstep.

Madonna said she knew they were going say her adoption was a PR job because she heard what they said about Angie but she never expected people to say she kidnapped a baby. Okay, this ***** is making me mad.

First of all, she SAID she doesn’t read newspapers or watch TV, she SAID she didn’t know what they were saying about her until she got back to the UK and CLAIMED her ‘friends’ had to tell her - and YET, on THE TODAY SHOW, you’re telling me that she busts out that she’s heard ‘what they say about Angie’ (re adopting babies for ‘PR’ I guess?) Well, I’m sorry - but that’s ******* BULLSHIT. Don’t be dragging Angelina into your mess lady — no one is saying that about Angelina, they are saying that about YOU *****. Stick with the program and don’t go dragging Angie into your fix. She didn’t say anything of the kind on Oprah, so why is she name dropping AJ NOW??!! See - this is the kind of patently disingenuous crap I can’t stand. Next she’ll be singing ‘Me and Angelina against the world.’ What she’s saying doesn’t even make ******* sense - and she’s doing it because she KNOWS they are saying that SHE is emulating Angelina for the GOOD press, she hopes it will bring her. Believe me, if the overall consensus and public perception was NEGATIVE about AJ adopting kids from 3rd world countries, you better believe, MADONNA wouldn’t be doing it NOW. She went to Africa because she THOUGHT it would be seen, LIKE ANGELINA, as a positive. She is trying to re-write history and taint AJ’s adoptions with her stain. Ugh. Yes, I’ve changed my mind about Madonna if she’s going to say what you imply. That is f**ked up.

Jumping in here a little late into the discussion.

Original Curious, the cover shot isn’t all that bad and no it’s not the worst thing in the world. You said that it looks “sexy”. That’s what others have been pointing out from their posts, that Brad, judging from his recent interviews, does not want to be seen as “sexy” or the guy who poses in his boxers. He wants to be seen as a father, a man, not a Hollywood pretty boy who is just sexy. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind appearing sexy but from now, but he probably wants to do that with his clothes on from now on. This picture is Brad from 2004. The pictures show a Brad that was prior to Angelina being in his life, prior to him becoming a dad to three kids, prior to him being villified by the media. This was pretty boy Brad. His life has changed and he wants to reflect that in his interviews, in his movies and the images he puts out there. So it might not be the worst thing in the world to happen to him, but it does put out a false notion of the image Brad is trying to project to the world. That’s my take on it and I will not buying this Vanity Fair because this isn’t the Brad I’m a fan of. The image above is of the old Brad. I like the new Brad way better and because Vanity Fair is a lying piece of garbage!!!

Ritzygal: I would not waste my time on that woman, unless she predicted the assasinations of the Gandhis. Noticed that they only mentioned her predictions but not even cited any one of her old predictions that came true. I doubt this movie has a large budget. Plus success in this type of movie has little to do with making money but with getting critical acclaim such as with GC Good Night and Good Luck.

Babel will be released on Friday Nov. 3 in Detroit (from Detroit Free Press).
