Angelina Jolie may sue head of aid group
A former ally in the battle against destruction in Cambodia with Angelina Jolie may be facing a lawsuit from the famous actress. The Associated Press broke the news Tuesday morning that an associate of Jolie revealed that the actress may be filing a lawsuit against Mounh Sarath, director of Cambodian Vision in Development, a man who Jolie once gave money and support.
Trevor Neilson, the philanthropic and political advisor to Jolie and Brad Pitt, told The Associated Press on Monday, “We are considering filing a lawsuit to recover the hundreds of thousands of dollars that is missing and which he was responsible for. We have specific evidence (of) him having taken the money, and we are considering whether to file a lawsuit or press charges against him in Cambodia.”
Originally, Mounh Sarath accused Angelina Jolie of having reneged on an agreement by discontinuing funds to the Cambodian group and those accusations opened an investigation by Jolie’s camp into just where the money was going. As Neilson said, “The sad reality is that this person who made these allegations was fired because we believe (he) stole.”
Angelina Jolie has already moved to make sure that her funds and support could still get to the people of Cambodia, setting up an independent organization to administer a new conservation project, according to Yahoo News. The new group is called The Maddox Jolie Project, after Angelina Jolie’s son, who was adopted from Cambodia in 2002, and has pledged over $1 million over the next five years for forest conservation.
Mounh Sarath already has come out and said that he’s willing to combat any charges, telling the AP, “I will fight any lawsuit and find out the truth and to see if they have any documented proof of the money stolen.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are currently in India filming A Mighty Heart, the true story of the widow of slain journalist Daniel Pearl. Jolie is starring and Pitt is producing.
I hope they sue the guy. He’s the same one blabbing all over the place that AJ backed out of the promise.

Ya know, I always believed that some of the gossip surounding their “reneging” from thier pledges had something to do with embezzlement, such poor countries such temptation. Even here in the US there were millions of government and red cross $$$$$ misapropriated after the Katina catastrophy. I hope this will stop others from doing the same, or at least stop the rumors.

Brad Pitt: the good, the wet, the creepy
I’ll start with the good, just to pacify the psychotic Brangelinas.
As you know, Brad helped out with Habitat for Humanity on Monday in India, and contrary to local reports that indicate he only stayed for half an hour (just in time for pictures), I’m told by 2 sources also involved with the project that Brad actually stayed for the entire time, well past the planned photo opportunity that, yes, had been previously arranged.
Brad was apparently reserved but friendly and polite and seemed “very comfortable” around a construction site. The exact description: “he didn’t look awkward, if he was in a tool shed I can imagine him knowing exactly where everything is.”

Hey…maybe it’s just me. Maybe I’m just not “arty” enough. Maybe I’m too uncouth to appreciate the creepy crawly beauty of perversion. But if art is all about personal interpretation, then that is exactly how I’ve personally interpreted Robert Wilson’s disturbing Brad Pitt “Video Portrait”.
Watch it for yourself, listen to the voice over, listen as the Scary Hidden Man reads his Sexual Predator Poem, listen carefully to the words:
Apples, peaches, pumpkin pie/You were young and so was I/Now that we’ve grown up it seems/You just keep ignoring me
I’ll find you anywhere you go/I’m gonna look, high and low/You can’t escape this love of mine…anytime/Well…I’ll sneak up behind you/Be careful where I find you
And on and on it goes, the Scary Hidden Man’s voice reading monotonously, Brad just standing there in the rain, the longer it goes, the more you imagine a serial stalker sitting in a small room, watching watching watching, waiting waiting waiting, his mouth watering, his eyes bulging, his breath accelerated, his excitement growing, his appetite violent, and worst of all… his prey oblivious.
Now I know I have an active imagination but you watch this and you try, just try to tell me it’s more than a *little* ******’ weird. Especially the squirt at the end timed perfectly for a particular verse in the poem.
If art is about symbolism, then yeah…I get it: symbolically fucked AND symbolically disturbing and just because Brad Pitt has his shirt off doesn’t make it any better.

I agree with you. He is in India to oversee AMH and to take care of the kids while AJ work and rest. He could’ve remained in the hotel, but then again, there are those who would’ve asked why he didn’t lend a hand? Does he only support Angelina/Jolie-Pitt backed charities? But then again, some would accuse him of stealing the spotlight from Habitat. If the press chose to focus on BP, then it’s the press’ fault, not BP’s. At least BP’s presence, both physically and within the articles benefit Habitat. For me, I didn’t even know that Habitat built houses outside of the US.

On Monday Brad Pitt visited the Western India town of Lonavala, where he helped former President Jimmy Carter, his wife Rosalynn and other Habitat for Humanity volunteers build two new houses.
The actor, who has been in Pune, India, with Angelina Jolie filming A Mighty Heart, arrived around noon – when the press corps was at lunch – and for a few moments went unnoticed among the 1,500 foreign volunteers.
But then a Times of India photographer happened to recognize Pitt and the whole press pack came running.
During his visit, which lasted until sundown, Pitt chatted with the Carters and then helped lay cement blocks. “He was perfectly relaxed and didn’t mind being photographed at all,” local reporter Pranjal Bhujan told PEOPLE. “He did everything – he mixed the cement, carried it to the house, laid it on the bricks and then placed the bricks on the wall that was being built.”

Pitt and Carter also helped out on a house for rickshaw driver Dev Aggarwal and his wife, who is seven months pregnant. “I didn’t know who Pitt was, but to have a famous man visiting your house is an auspicious sign with a baby on the way. It means good things are going to come,” Aggarwal told reporters.
After Pitt had gone, the Indian volunteers working on the site came rushing to the two couples to congratulate them on having been ‘blessed’ by a visit from Pitt and Carter.
“Brad just believes in doing his part to draw attention to the fact that so many people around the world lack adequate and affordable housing,” the actor’s philanthropic advisor, Trevor Neilson, told PEOPLE. “He has great respect for the work that President Carter has done leading Habitat for Humanity and is glad to be able to help draw attention to their important work in India and around the world.”
In total, 100 houses are being built in association with Habitat for Humanity for low-income families in the Lonavala area as part of the 23rd annual Jimmy Carter Work Project.
Also helping the Carters – who every year since 1984 have spent a week building homes for Habitat – were former Miss World and Miss India Diana Hayden and Australian cricket player Steve Waugh.
“We’ve realized that people across the globe have the same basic needs, dreams and aspirations,” Carter, 82, said at a press conference at the work site. “Habitat’s program depends on finding families who cannot otherwise afford housing.”
Last month, Pitt and Jolie formed the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which will give $2 million to Global Action for Children and Doctors Without Borders to help families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.

I looved seeing the little ones in their costumes. There was on little guy — no more than five years old this morning in a Batman costume. He was the cutest little thing. Can’t wait for them to start knocking on my door so I can give them their treats.

Anyway, deena and the rest, one reason why philantrophists put up their own foundations is better control and supervision of the funds disbursed. Too many donors have been burned when they merely add funds to projects without having their own people monitor the project implementation.
This is probably why the Jolie Pitt Foundation and the Maddox Jolie Project were established.
Brad looks really good there. I’m so glad that Brad & Angelina set up that foundation. I know that Angelina’s generosity has been taken advantage of at some point in the past. With an official foundation, every cent will have to be accounted for and every recipient of the donation will have to be checked out.

Gitane: Hey MA! Big mouth is going to be in alot of trouble if it’s found out that he indeed has embezzled monies. We’re not talking US jail here, where you get good food, heating, colour tvs to watch, libraries with books to read, computers to use, etc. We’re talking, throw him in and forget about him jail. Greed, my goodness, why does this happen so much around the world? It’s so sad, because so many people are so poor, and they want to feed their families, but this guy wasn’t out in the street begging. I hope he gets what he deserves, if it is true.
