Jennifer Aniston Is No Big Cry Baby Boo-Boo

November 7th, 2005 at 14:30 by Stuart Heritage

Jennifer_aniston_newsweekThe imaginary Jennifer Aniston/Angelina Jolie competition for the world’s affection continues. Jolie knows a lot about world issues and stuff, so Aniston has hit back by having an interview published in Newsweek.

In the Newsweek article Seven Things I’d Rather Talk About… Than the Men in (or Out) of My Life, Jennifer Aniston takes the opportunity to air her hard-hitting views about the world in a Serious Publication. And what did she choose to talk about? The fact that she probably doesn’t cry as much as we think she cries. Smart move…

Jennifer Aniston has a reputation. She’s seen as a flake, as the
sad-eyed, self-obsessed woman who has spent every second since her
separation from Brad Pitt being a chain-smoking wreck who has to scream at
the sea to ease her pain. But that’s apparently not the case.

Having a full-on emotional breakdown during a Vanity Fair interview
probably didn’t help Jennifer Aniston all that much - crying and
blubbering through your first post-split interview tends to give the
impression that you’re, you know, a little unstable.

And in Newsweek, Aniston got the chance to hit back. She said (in point 3, entitled How Little I Actually Cry):

“I’m pegged as a crier, aren’t I? I was upset about the Vanity Fair
article. I had one moment when I got emotional because I hadn’t sat
down with an interviewer since this whole debacle took place. It
happened for a second and then it was over. But I do cry when I watch
shows about babies being born. And I can turn on Terms of Endearment
at any point and start crying—or The Champ, with Rick Schroder.”

See? She doesn’t cry a lot. Just at films. And baby programmes. And
interviews. Quite a lot of things, really. In fact, Jennifer probably
cries more than we thought she did.

But that’s just the tip of her wisdom iceberg. Aniston imparts all
kinds of crazy knowledge throughout the Newsweek article, including:

“I had never done a thriller before.”

“Nothing is worse than a guy with an eye job—and don’t think we can’t tell.”

“Where are all the sitcoms?”

“How about that indictment?!”

“I also want to know why Steve Perry left Journey.”

With respects to Lainey, while she does admit that she fascinated with BAMZS, I do think that she placates the straggler X fans who still read her blog. Personally, I don’t think it’s at all necessary for her to label us ‘Brangelunies’ simply because some fans are dilligent enough to contact her about incorrect info. I like her analysis, but she definitely gets off on getting people pissed off at her and unfortunately, some of us are feeding into her compulsion.

Original jpf - When I mentioned that VF violated Brad’s trust, I meant about the pictures, not the interview with X. X violated Brad’s trust and privacy by doing that interview with VF, but that is the past. I was refering to the comment that TMZ stated:

“Pitt’s lawyers are said to be weighing their legal options. His rep gave the following statement to TMZ: “We are very disappointed that Vanity Fair has chosen to put an unauthorized cover on their magazine. It seriously makes me question their integrity and motives.”

So she cries when she watches The Champ with Rick Schroeder, well guess who was the lead in that movie: Jon Voight.

And I can turn on Terms of Endearment
at any point and start crying—or The Champ, with Rick Schroder.” From Funny
+++++++++++

Thanks Funny, that’s it. So it was in Newsweek. See what I mean? She was upset about the VF article, only because she was said to have cried a few times. Not because ofthe lies said about AJ.
And she cries when she watches shows about babies being born, is that her way to say that she likes to give birth? No wonder Lainey calls her the Queen of Fraud.

ntt, thanks for the compliment.

Just a little more in defence of Lainey. I agree that she writes a lot of SH** a lot of the time, like other gossip columnists, especially when it comes to the BAMZS who seem to have locked down on all their leaks. On my scale of reading Gossip SH**, I would place Lainey above any of the Tablies except People Magazine or an actual interview. I would also place Lainey above Ted C, who IMHO, seems most truly overflowing with SH**. I can never understand that guy. (Is that just me or is it you. I’ve stopped reading TC)

When Lainey writes well, it is entertaining to read her SH**. At least, where BAMZS are concerned, she isn’t saying they are splitting up or what ever. She just doesn’t know and just speculates, like the rest of us.

Anyway, we can all agree to disagree on the matter of Lainey bcoz, in the scheme of things, except when Lainey is clarifying Brad and Angelina’s charity efforts, the rest of her column is just fluff to entertain ourselves with. Not life and death, which the charities could be. Will BB much later.

Sooooo…..it’s OK if I STEAL the magazine? ;)

deena - as long as u don’t put money in that tabloid’s pocket ; )

Hey 4Q, can you check your e-mail? Thanks

jpf,

Whatever - this isn’t a competition. I respect your opinion, mine just happens to differ - and I said why. I’m not about one upmanship, that’s not where I come from. I enjoy talking and discussing and various differing opinions don’t bother me at all…I welcome them! So your tone is not needed. I hold the opinion I do because Brad has indeed issued a statement, which in my opinion validates what I’m saying. If Brad hadn’t done that, IMO what you say would make a great deal of sense. But at the end of the day - he’s ‘disappointed’ that they used and unauthorized image and questions their ‘motives and integrity.’ That’s a VERY strong statement, that tells me where he’s coming from. You may not see it that way - and that’s cool. But in my experience, it’s pretty unprecedented.

Hey big A, yea I got your email and please check your email if all of ‘em came through.

Ooooh believe me, QQQQ, I wouldn’t put a penny in their coffer after what they did and continue doing to our sweet Bradley.

To the Lainey conversation I would like to repost somethin I saw this morning that made me chuckle:

Brad is doing exactly what he said he will do in 2005 Sawyer interview; He can’t get out of the press so he would bring them to those who can’t get into the press. A certain sitcom actress can learn from him and do something for others for change. As Lainey says, sniffing on Oprah’s couch doesn’t feed babies.

She can turn a phrase!

Thanks Angelah, I am sure that R. will really appreciated it :)

Here is Brad Pitt as you’ve never seen him before. Clad in a pair of white boxer shorts, the 42-year-old Hollywood star oozes sex appeal.

The image, which features on the cover of the latest edition of Vanity Fair, is the work of avant-garde New York impresario Robert Wilson.

CLICK HERE to check out the video art starring Brad. It was inspired by the character Winnie in Samuel Beckett’s play ‘Happy Days.’ Wilson’s subjects were asked to “think of nothing” and limit their movements to one or two slow-motion gestures.

The resulting high-definition video was then turned into a sequence, with each portrait costing about $50 000 to produce. The work will be displayed at New York galleries in January.

Vanity Fair is out on November 9.

Also, can I ask what those three little balls on Brad’s face are supposed to be? Is that supposed to be water droplets?? See - that’s the thing, this is just so avante garde and so not appropriate for a magazine cover - ya know? It just doesn’t TRANSLATE. But more than anything VF’s disingenuousness is so blatantly obvious - they could give a f**k about ‘The ART issue.’ They want BRAD PITT on the cover to move some magazines. End. of. story. They were hoping to get it out without this breaking that they USED HIM. I just think it’s shameful.

Today’s show is featuring Madonna tomorrow, I think. Madonna said she knew they were going say her adoption was a PR job because she heard what they said about Angie but she never expected people to say she kidnapped a baby. Also ET is going to show Angie in TGS but I didn’t hear when. Does anyone know when?

CLINIQUA: October 31st, 2006 at 10:21 pm

I’m really disappointed that you’ve viewed this as anymore than my opinion being expressed. I thought I chose my words carefully and with a determined plan to not have them be viewed as anything other than “this is how I see it, and how I see it differently than you see it.” I’m not at all sure what you mean by “your tone is not needed.” That one sincerely confuses me, and I’m truly sorry that an opposing view can’t be debated without it being seen as simply what it is, and opposing view. It’s all good. In the grand scheme of it all I’m sure we both have bigger fish to fry.

jpf

tabs,
Et will show some clips of Matt and Angelina in TGS tomorrow.

Eversince Brangelina, this guy has become hotter by the day.
Go BAMZS!!!

ANISTON THE HAG! @ 10/31/2006 at 11:56 pm

Myself, I will NOT be buying the Vanity Fair magazine. I bought the one with Angelina Jolie as their cover before the X issue. After that No more VF for me. I am saving my money for the Vogue with Angie on the cover, Babel, The Good Sheperd, The Departed & Assassination of Jesse James. Boycotting VF…you bet I am!
